Domkářová, Lucie ; Šulová, Lenka (advisor) ; Šírová, Eva (referee)
The bachelor's thesis deals with the importance of preschool children's play for mental development. The main target of the theoretical part is create the most comprehensive overview of current knowledge on the topic. The first part provides general theoretical definition games. Here I present various definitions, classifications and theory of play. Another part is devoted to a detailed description of the importance of the play for the mental development. I focus here on the cognitive, motor, motivational-voluntary, emotional and social development. Since the preschool period begins to appear cooperative play, I consider it important to include a chapter on playmates. Parents, grandparents, siblings, peers and imaginary friend. This chapter describes the importance of the participation and style of play of playmates in the preschool children's play. Conclusions of the thesis is a research project focused on the parents play with preschool children.
The Pikler Early Childhood Education
Noack, Dana ; Šulová, Lenka (advisor) ; Mertin, Václav (referee)
Title: The Pikler Early Childhood Education Author: Dana Noack Department: Katedra psychologie, FF UK Supervisor: Prof. PhDr. Lenka Šulová, CSc. Abstract: The intention of this study was to explore how the parents who are familiar with the Piklerian principles use these in upbringing their children in the family in the period of early childhood. The theoretical part describes the process of socialization (with the emphasis on the preconditions for the early interaction both on the child's and the parent's side) as well as the topic of upbringing in the family (basic models and the relation of upbringing to the socio-cultural and the historical context) and the most important aspects of the child development in the first three years. The last chapter of the theoretical part introduces the Hungarian pediatrician Emmi Pikler, the basic pediatrist Emmi Pikler, the basic premises of her approach and it's principles related to the issue of the motor development, care and play. The empirical part presents the results of the qualitative content analysis of data gathered by a questionnaire. These data provide us with a basic picture of how the concrete parents use the Piklerian principles in upbringing their children.
Remake of popular fairytales with uses of the methods and techniques characteristic for drama education, and further application those techniques into the teaching process of the youngest kids in the kindergarten
Sovová, Zuzana ; Svobodová, Radmila (advisor) ; Holemá, Irena (referee)
These coursework aims to pointed out the particular observation of the method used in drama education in the chosen kindergarten in respect with the age group of three and four years old pupils. In the theory part, I'm looking at the fundamental definitions and explanations of theoretical knowledge in drama and preschool education in general. The practical part is based on the realisation of the particular lessons of drama education as well as comparing and choosing the most suitable technique for teaching purposes of the youngest children. By evaluating the most effective approach in preschool teaching I was judging the individual methods and techniques from a pedagogue's point of view. The outcomes of my research are based on the direct observation and reflection. Key words: child, pre-school education, drama education, methods and techniques of drama education, play, fairytale
Bridge: A Complex Application for Bridge Playing and Creating /Testing of Auction Systems
Pražma, Jan ; Ježek, Pavel (advisor) ; Forstová, Lenka (referee)
The goal of the thesis is to improve the existing Editor and Simulator applications that have been created by the autor as his Bachelor Thesis. Document speaks about the main aspects of bridge; about the auction and the bridge play. The whole document is based on the author's Bachelor Thesis which is frequently referenced in the document. Nevertheless, the document should be readable without any previous knowledge of author's former work. The author is discussing his effort to create logic expressions to describe bridge hands and truths in the bridge world. These expressions are then used to construct auction conventions and whole auction systems. The author is discussing the bridge problems and presenting the improved algorithm to solve double-dummy problems. The work also describes the software from the engineering point of view and speaks about the graphic user interface of both programmes.

The Role of Play in Peirce's Semiotics
Borč, Marek ; Švantner, Martin (advisor) ; Gvoždiak, Vít (referee)
This thesis focuses on the basic delimiting of the issue of play within the framework C. S. Peirce's semiotics. Its objective is to expound and explicate the role of the phenomena of play in Peirce's philosophy using selected Peirce's texts and secondary literature, whereas our main starting-point is Peirce's identification of play with the inferential form of abduction. As such play is connected to Peirce's theories of sign and inference, as well as to the concepts of synechism, evolutionary cosmology and pragmatism. This finding sets Peirce's theory of inference within critical logic as one of the key themes of the thesis. In relation to this finding we give a basic explanation of Peirce's phaneroscopy and speculative grammar which in dependency on Peirce's classification of sciences set the ground for our analysis of play as a process of inference as well as a significant function. Within the framework of critical logic we focus primarily on abduction, especially on the question of the validity of abduction as a form of logical reasoning as well as on Peirce's transition from understanding different forms of inference as separate processes to understanding them as a continuous and interdependent whole of the scientific method. We develop Peirce's brief conception of play through an excursion...
Metaphysical essentials of Ladislav Klíma's philosophy
Kratochvíl, Jan ; Hogenová, Anna (referee) ; Rybák, David (referee)
This work focuses on the analysi s of methaphysical philosophy of a Czech writer and philosopher Ladislav Klíma. It studies his discourse with older philosophical tradition and his own sources of inspiration and demonstrates essential contradictions of the resulting philosophy - egosolism. The main focus of this work is in analysis of the transition of a certain methaphysical view on the world to ethical challenge and criticism of Christian faith as Klíma understood it. It is rather emotional than rational as Klíma's literary works show. They are also used to demonstrate his adherence to traditional methaphysical points of view. The final part of this work sums up Klíma's philosophical ideas from which inevitably stem these contradictions. A way of reading Klíma's body of work is offered which is indifferent to incoherences of Klíma's intelectual construct.
