Application for Food Quality Rating for Android

This thesis deals with design, implementation and testing of a mobile application which represents a part of a newly emerging service for food quality rating in catering facilities. The ratings come directly from consumers. Users can get inspired by ratings from other users, they can add ratings on their own or search for dishes and facilities. The thesis primarily focuses on the user interface design. The service is brought to users through an application for the Android platform. Application, which is compatible with 94 % of Android devices on the market and which could be released for real usage in the future, was created in this thesis. To a reader the thesis provides a look at the current trends in mobile application development, it presents considerations related to the design of a real world application and offers a selection of tools and means which can be used for development or be integrated into the application.

New trends in Czech obstetrics and opinion differences between pregnant women

In this graduation theses are monitored changes in obstetric profession during centuries and mainly in last few decades. Perception of childbirth change and what was once normal is today alternative and vice versa. Childbirth has unique position in medicine and we have to take it not only as matter of physiology but also as matter of sociology. At Childbirth, its hazards and its workminelike finis his regard with social optics. Determination and perception of childbirth is mainly different in view of two "competing conceptions" ( medically led childbirth, natural childbirth ).This graduation theses is oriented at perception and opinions of pregnant women. Theirs opinions are analyzed and processed with qualitative analysis. In last few years, "different" childbirth than classical is more and more in subconsciousness of women. Even when women more often choose medically led childbirth, some of them start to thing about different, alternative possibilities. Their opinion is, that woman shall have right to choose and more or less undertake responsibility over this decision.Women wanna be more involved in decisions about their bodies, childbirths. 80 Summary Establishment as an allocation key for proper taxation The work is concerned with the questions of an establishment as an allocation key for proper taxation. The main objective of the work is to get the brief and clear overview of the position of an establishment especially from the income tax point of view. Nowadays - in the world full of international transactions without borders - it is for particular states more and more important to identify where certain transactions have their source and where they should be taxed. The choice of the proper allocation key for the taxation is very complicated since it meets many legal branches. For setting up the uniformed proceeding regarding international taxation the institution of an establishment was invented. The institution of an establishment is related to both tax law and business law. The concept of an establishment can be found in the Commercial Code or in the Trades Licensing Act. Moreover the tax law contains its own specifications of an establishment. Namely it is the permanent establishment for the purposes of the Income Taxes Act and the fixed establishment for the purposes of the VAT Act. Multiculturalism and Minorities with a View to the Integration of Immigrants in the Czech Republic.

The study deals with the phenomenon of migration as the global problem, the problem of the European Union and the Czech Republic. The characteristic of multiculturalism and other terms associated with integrative accesses and multiculturalism is placed at the beginning of the study. The main part of the study is concerned in the access to immigrant integration in the connection with the European Union and immigrant integration on the part of the state, society, communities of foreigners as well as non-state non-profit organizations in the frame of the Czech Republic. The practical part contains the characterization of the project focused on immigrant integration into the labour market in the Czech Republic etc. Exhibitions of social work with chosen foreigners are also the part of the project. I think that this project can be the useful exhibition of possibilities and problems associated with immigrant integration in the Czech Republic.

Theory and praxis of medical professionals' information behaviour

There were huge changes in spreading and use of scientific medical information in last fifteen years due to development of new information and communication technologies and changes in medicine as well. The research described in this thesis adresses possible changes in information behaviour of physicians and other healthcare workers both abroad and in the Czech Republic. Foreign studies were reviewed and summarized. A survey method was used for the Czech research, the survey was spread with the help of medical libraries and information centers both in print and online version. 228 valid answers were collected. Several factors were supposed to influence information behaviour (age, sex, affiliation, healthcare occupation, job description), but only the influence of affiliation and occupation was confirmed. There were significant differences between information behaviour of physicians and nurses and between research workers and hospital employees. It can be said that information behaviour of healthcare workers is influenced by the character of their occupation, that entails responsibility for life and that demands both a lot of information and lifelong education. Diplomová práce definuje a vykládá pojem judikát a vymezuje jeho roli v oblasti právní informatiky. Práce uvádí historické a právní souvislosti, které vedly k současnému problematickému stavu v oblasti zpřístupňování tohoto informačního pramene. Hlavní část diplomové práce tvoří analýza tradičních i elektronických zdrojů judikatury a pokus o zmapování současné nabídky těchto zdrojů. Mezi nimi jde v první řadě o systémy aSPI a LexData, pak také rozhodnutí zpřístupněná na webových prezentacích nejvyšších soudů, např. Nejvyššího soudu Čr. Possibilities of pre-travel consultancy and specific prophylaxis of imported infectious diseases in the region of South Bohemia

The theoretical part of the thesis deals with the problems of imported infectious diseases. It comprises the factors influencing their incidence and the possibilities of specific and nonspecific prophylaxis and prevention. Further on, this part focuses on chosen infectious diseases, their epidemiological and clinical characteristics and trends in incidence. These infections are divided according to possibilities of specific prophylaxis. The thesis offers an overview of the possibilities of pre-travel consultancy in the South Bohemia region. The practical part of the thesis aims at the characterization of the incidence of imported infectious diseases in the districts within the region of South Bohemia in the years 2000 ? 2010. It also presents a survey of medical facilities and other subjects providing pre-travel consultancy and specific prophylaxis in the sphere of imported infectious diseases prevention. During the monitoring period, the total number of imported diseases which occurred in the region of South Bohemia and were registered in the EPIDAT system was 351. Out of this number, 205 cases occurred in the district of České Budějovice. (Český Krumlov ? 47, Jindřichův Hradec ? 25, Písek ? 2, Prachatice ? 17, Strakonice ? 31, Tábor ? 24). The most frequent imported infections were alimentary infections (240 cases, i.e.68 %); out of this, the most frequent cases were diseases caused by Salmonella (73 cases), Shigella (71 cases) and campylobacters (42 cases). The most frequent countries of origin were Egypt (43 cases), Croatia (42 cases) and India (30 cases). The number of medical facilities and other subjects providing pre-travelling consultancy and specific prophylaxis of infectious diseases rose from nine to thirteen during the period of monitoring. Four hypotheses were determined within this thesis. Hypothesis no.1 ? during the period of monitoring the total number of imported infectious diseases increased. Hypothesis no.2 ? during the period of monitoring the total number of infectious diseases imported from exotic destinations increased. Hypothesis no. 3 ? during the period of monitoring there was an increase in the number of the facilities and other subjects providing pre-travel advice, vaccination or other specific prophylaxis. Hypothesis no. 4 ? the increasing number of medical facilities or other subjects providing pre-travel advice, vaccination or other specific prophylaxis did not influence an increase in the number of imported infectious diseases during the period of monitoring. Only hypotheses no. 3 and no. 4 were proved.

Old Czech medical terminology - names of diseases, their signs and symptoms

Mottem této práce jsou slova, která zapsal téměř před sto lety František Michálek Bartoš. Je podivuhodné, jak staré česky psané lékařské texty zůstávají v archivech, stranou valného zájmu odborníků. Není to z nedostatku materiálu, neboť pro období středověku, v němž se konstituovaly počátky české lékařské vědy a s ní pochopitelně i české lékařské terminologie, máme k dispozici mimořádně velké množství lékařských textů. "Reprezentantem" těchto textů, o nichž bude podrobně pojednáno v příloze k této práci (viz s. 210-217), je pro tuto práci soubor lékařských památek, které zvolil pro svou materiálovou bázi Staročeský slovník;2 jejich fotokopie jsou uloženy v oddělení vývoje jazyka Ústavu pro jazyk český Akademie věd ČR. 3 Tyto památky jsou nezřídka značně rozsáhlé a dochovaly se v četných, často variantních rukopisech. Jedná se o 13 rukopisů převážně z 15. století, k nimž jsem se rozhodla připojit ještě rukopis zvaný Vnoučkovo lékařství (z počátku 16. století), v němž jsou obsaženy texty z minulého období. Tyto prameny jsou základem mé práce, i když jsem využívala i mnohých jiných zdrojů, o nichž se zmíním později.
