EU - Canada Economic Relations: A Suitable Framework for Business Activities?
Chaloupka, Jan ; Cihelková, Eva (advisor) ; Bič, Josef (referee)
The aim of this thesis is to survey the current cooperation between the European Union and Canada and its future development and thus answer the question of whether the current situation with respect to the planned legislative and institutional steps presents a suitable framework for realisation of business activities in these economies. The thesis is focused on, from my point of view, crucial and most discussed issues of mutual cooperation in the field of business, commerce and investment. None the less important levels of collaboration, such as education, science and research, energy and cooperation in safety and peace matters cannot be neglected, either. These areas do not stand in the centre of the thesis, however, their inclusion completes the overall image of the complexity of bilateral relations between the European Union and Canada.

Image of Roma in Tony Gatlif's cinematography
Výběrem mediálních obsahů a způsobem nakládání s fakty nepřímo diktují obraz reality, jejím neustálým opakováním a neměnností úhlu pohledu vytvářejí pouhou její iluzi.

Political and economic relations between Great Britain and its colonies in north America in the Seven years' war
Nevrkla, Lukáš ; Kovář, Martin (advisor) ; Soukup, Jaromír (referee)
Great Britain and thirteen British American mainland colonies in the age of the Seven Year's War. My principal objection was to analyse the impact of the war on the development of these relations during the war in connection with the preceding historical development and with respect to the moovement of the events in the 1760s and 1770s of the 18th century. The chapter one gives a short survey of the structure of colonial economic and colonial commerce of Great Britain and "thirteen colonies" in Norht America. Futhermore it presents a concise cultural and social portrait of British colonial merchants and their counterparts in American colonies. The chapter two consists of an analysis of the effect of the political and economical connections of the Seven Years' War on the political structure of the colonies. This process is ilustrated by an example of the emacipation of colonial assemblies as in relation to Great Britain as well as in local politics. The Chapter three deals with the changed post-war conditions in North America and provides a short account of her old animosities and new problems. Moreover it analyses the first steps of British policy in years after the signature of the peace of Paris. The Seven Year's War had shaped the state of affairs in 60's and 70's of the 18th century. However amazing the...

Latin medieval hagiographie, its structure and influence in Bohemian lands
Izdný, Jakub ; Suchánek, Drahomír (referee) ; Drška, Václav (advisor)
I try to compare latine legends of first European christian monarchs of the early Middle Ages in my work. This way I detected some standard type of hagiographical story with this topic. The conformity lies in the way of acceptation of baptism, appearance of two secondary persons - the wife, who is accepting the sanctity, and the missionary bishop - and not least in using the theme of battle for faith. Especially the character of pious wife seems to be very important in hagiography and implies obviously the realy way of spreading christian religion with the marriage policy. As well important are findings, that despite the quite wide time span between the genesis of the oldest and the latest compared text, amplified by the different historical situation of Germanic and Central European peoples, shows the hagiography considerable similarity and proves the cultural alliance of West and Central Europe.

This part aims to determine what percentage of these students opted for the social sphere and what lead to this decision. Further quantitative research conducted among high school and college students who attend branch with a social focus. Here, the work reveals the most common and most important motives of students, satisfaction with the chosen field of study and their expectations of future studies and career. Here we will also learn how many students want after graduation stay in the field. In the practical part there is also a qualitative research, which complements the whole job. Semi-structured interviews are conducted with students, but also with a social worker. These respondents describe us closer their motivation for working in the social sphere. According to the results which this research brought, it can be stated that most of the students choose a subject with a social focus to have the opportunity to help the others. But is true that many students are choosing a school prematurely and are influenced by the place of residence, their friends or the nature of the study, most of these people don´t know what they can expect from the field and are often discouraged during their studies. From this work could in practice benefit pupils and students who decide for the field of social affairs. For teachers working in schools where the research took place, could this work serve as a feedback. Especially the part which describes the differences between expectations and reality can be used.

Dřímal, Pavel ; Císařová, Dagmar (advisor) ; Vokoun, Rudolf (referee)
Euthanasia represents one of the most controversial topics around the world. As I mentioned in the first chapter there is no worldwide consistency whether to accept the idea of legalization Active Voluntary Euthanasia ("AVE") or not. The goal of this diploma thesis is not to persuade anybody. In approximately 60 pages of the text I am providing readers with some essential information about euthanasia in the Czech Republic. I am also trying to compare the foreign legal regulation of euthanasia and assisted suicide but theoretical ideas as well. The first chapter is mainly trying to capture the reader's focus and setting the theme of my diploma thesis. The second chapter of my thesis is called ,,The Term Euthanasia". This chapter provides readers with several definitions of euthanasia and Physician Assisted Suicide ("PAS") as well as some historic data. The act of euthanasia has its origin in Greek. First word euthanasia is mentioned in old Greek literature. The term euthanasia is composed from two Greek words. Eu which means good or normal and Thanatos which means death. The word euthanasia can be literally translated as a "good death". It should be mentioned that during the centuries the meaning of euthanasia has changed. Today's understanding of euthanasia is ending ones life in order to relieve...
