Congruence of managerial competencies of teacher, headmaster and business manager

This thesis deals with the managerial competencies of school teachers and headmasters. It also focuses on finding the common features of such competencies as are shared by the two aforementioned professions and company managers. Its main aim is to find out whether a successful teacher would be equally successful in the position of a headmaster, or whether a company manager can be a successful headmaster without having worked as a teacher. The theoretical part deals with the definition of "management" and managerial functions, the definition of school management, and "classroom management". The personalities of a manager, their qualities, knowledge, skills, the term "leadership" as well as "competencies" are also clarified here. At the end of this part there is an analysis of managerial competencies in the position of a company manager, headmaster, and teacher as well. The practical part analyses the subjective perception of the job duties, required qualities, skills and competencies in teachers, headmasters and managers. The thesis contains a comparative research. Accountability of Public and Private Elementary School

The bachelor's thesis deals with the school accountability. It explores accountability as a phenomenon that exists but it is not explicitly expressed and systematically integrated into the process of managerial control in Czech school. The work summarizes the gained knowledge and approaches to accountability in Czech and foreign environment and their links with the school management in general. The aim of qualitative research is to contribute to the expansion of scientific knowledge in this area. There are identified external subjects of public and private schools in the case study, their main interests which are subsequently compared. The work is intended for school directors; bringing a more detailed view on demands of external subjects, both public and private schools, offering specific procedures and recommendations to school management, which can be considered as an accountable proceeding to external subjects. School Management Evaluation and Selfevaluation

This thesis is focused on process of evaluation and self-evaluation of school-management in leisure time centres in Central Bohemia and Prague. The thesis aims to discover how and whether at all evaluation and self-evaluation of school-management takes place in leisure centres, including sources, methods and criterias being used. In theoretical part we define origin and meaning of the evaluation and self-evaluation concept and we present main thoeries of this discipline in so called Evaluation theory tree. Then, Leisure time centres are classified presented in context of Czech school system and types of education - informal, non-formal and formal. Individual chapters deal with general presentation of leisure time centres, definition of school management (including legal requirements concerning their education), evaluation tools, projects, methods, competences and competence models of middle management in leisure time centres. We also introduce here evaluation tools created for leisure time centres, especially online system Olina. Delegation of Activities at Elementary School Central Management

This bachelor thesis - Delegation of Activities at Elementary School Central Management - deals with school management. It is based on the model of company management, which divides management into three levels. The main attention is paid to middle management, particularly to the methodical authorities at elementary school, respectively to its senior executives; this work traces their status, roles, performed activities, required competencies. The theme of the work is based on the belief that although nowadays headmasters are overburdened with administrative tasks and have difficulty in fulfilling all the aspects and roles that are given to them by the leading functions, delegation of their powers and thus the potential of their teaching staff is not used effectively for various reasons.
(Historical) development of the school management and its influence on the development of the education system in Kralovice

The Master's thesis deals with the history of education system in the Czech Republic and with the school management as closely related to the issue. The main focus is put on the historical development of the education system and its management in the town of Kralovice, West Bohemia. The aim of the thesis is therefore to demonstrate the gradual development and changes of the system in connection with the development of the school management within the mentioned territory. In particular, the most significant reforms and events affecting the education system are analysed in the study. The comprehensive view on the general development of the system and its management produced by the thesis can be beneficial for the pedagogical and administrative employees of every management level as well as for the local teachers, students and inhabitants of Kralovice.
Hidden curriculum and the possibility to influence it from different levels of the organizational structure

In the theoretical part of this thesis research concepts curriculum and hidden curriculum. The following is a list of managerial functions that influence hidden curriculum music school. The following contains areas for specific training in music schools. In the empirical part is based on data found in the research questionnaire survey and the data obtained in the interviews that were conducted on a random sample of respondents from among the directors, representatives, department heads and teachers of music schools. The aim of the research is to compare whether and to what extent the respondents were involved in activities that may affect the hidden curriculum in the music school. Activities affecting the hidden curriculum of various organizational positions were determined on the basis of interviews with respondents in the pilot study. The work provides an interpretation of the curriculum and the hidden curriculum. Searches concepts was based on the use of our and foreign literature. Following are sorted managerial activities related to the management of the curriculum in music schools.
