Dance and movement education as a new field in the Framework education programme for primary education

The bachelor thesis Dance and Movement Education as a New Field in the Framework Education Programme for Primary Education attends to characterization of dance and movement education as a field. It considers its embodiment in primary education's curriculum, defines its educational goals and field content and adverts to its contribution for education of primary schools' students. In the first part the Framework Education Programme and its development are introduced. The second part considers the dance and movement education outside the context of Framework Education Programme for Primary Education, provides information of basic principles and activities. The third and fundamental part consists of dance and movement education within the purview of Framework Education Programme for Primary Education. The goals and competences developed by dance and movement education are defined in more detail. Mutual goal and content interconnectiveness to other educational fields is emphasized. The thesis comes to a conclusion that dance and movement education as a new field of primary education can provide a suitable room for versatile development of students' personalities and hence help to fulfill the main goals of primary education.
Czech didactic materials for teaching biology to language minority students

This thesis is devoted to teaching of foreigners and creation of didactic materials for students of 2nd level of elementary schools with Czech as a second language. The thesis surveys and compares approaches to teaching foreigners in the Czech Republic and the USA. The author of the thesis describes methodology of the creation and use of special work materials for students determined to help them overcome language barriers and acquire the knowlede of specialized subjects. In the thesis, above entioned work materials are attested in refferential specimen for both, the attitude of the students to work with the materials and the use of informational resources and linguistic utilities included in the materials. Activating methods and forms in teaching of natural science

The theme and scope of submitted thesis is "Activating methods and forms in teaching of natural sciences" then followed with regard to the author's certification in chemistry and biology. The thesis is solved in conformity with requirements of the Framework Educational Programme, especially the change of the teaching style in schools. The thesis is written down with respect of a natural continuation of previous work of the author - diploma thesis dealt with project teaching and rigorous thesis was focused on cooperative activities. With regard to the objectives of submitted work the design of the research project is divided into two component parts: a questionnaire survey and a video study.

The work is based on theoretical findings on key competences, constructivist concept of teaching, organisational forms of teaching and project-based learning, which are then used in the practical part. In the practical part, the thesis aims present the functioning of the project and, based on a combination of qualitative and quantitative research, to present the results of the impact of the "Trade days" project on the development of key competencies and the overlap of this development into the future life of school graduates. Diplomová práce se zabývá konceptem "závěrečných bakalářských prací žáků 5. tříd" na základní škole v kontextu badatelsky orientovaného vyučování. Práce si klade za cíl popsat celý proces vzniku takovéto závěrečné práce a popsat jeho souvislosti s badatelsky orientovaným vyučováním a rozvojem klíčových kompetencí. Autor v teoretické části vysvětluje jednotlivé kroky badatelsky orientovaného vyučování, definuje klíčové kompetence a přibližuje problematiku psaní a čtení odborného textu. V praktické části v kontextu badatelsky orientovaného vyučování pak analyzuje jednotlivé fáze procesu tvorby žákovské práce od výběru tématu až po závěrečnou obhajobu. Při analýze vychází ze zkušeností pedagogů základní školy a doplňuje ji o konkrétní ukázky ze žákovských prací. The diploma thesis deals with the influence of art education on the development of key competences within the curriculum for the elementary school. The thesis explores the potential of this discipline and the possibility to apply it to the development and strengthening of cognitive functions, self-confidence, social and communication skills in children in the elderly school age. The first theoretical part focuses on the concept of art education and its present currents in relation to both the changing educational content and some of the problems encountered in common school practice. Particular attention is paid to the animo-centric approach to which the author reports, and at the same time he feels the need to define the boundary between developing competencies and solving specific problems of individual pupils or classroom dynamics, between artefiletics and activities that approach their approach to artetherapy. The second part elaborates the findings of in-depth interviews with experts in pedagogy and psychology that describe the experience with artefiletics, artetherapy and pedagogical work in school and their potential to develop key competencies. Design and Realisation of the Competency Approach for Children of Younger School Age in the Junák - Czech Scouting Organisation

The aim of this thesis is to create and implement a competency-based approach in the organization Junák - Czech Scouting for children of younger school age. Further, it analyses the possibilities and limits of such an approach. The theoretical part deals with the development of key competencies through scout education. Special attention is paid to the transformation of the educational programme in the children's organization Junák - Czech Scout at the beginning of the 21st century. Furthermore, the terms of competence and key competence are discussed. The practical part was carried out as action research in the 3rd Scout Unit Holubov. Using a questionnaire survey, the research first focuses on the reflection of Scout Paths, which represent the current scout tool for applying the competency-based approach. The next part of the research concentrates on creating a new competency-based model that verifies and reflects in practice. In the final part, the possibilities and limits of this new model are analyzed and suggestions for further implementations are proposed. Drama Education and its use in School Educational Programs at Primary Schools in Šluknov region

The aim of my diploma thesis is to find out how drama education at primary schools in the Šluknov Hook is reflected. In particular, I focus on how drama education is included in school curricula, whether the methods and principles of drama education are used in compulsory subjects for the development of key competencies, and how drama education is applied in the fulfilment of interdisciplinary relationships and cross-cutting themes. The work is divided into two parts - theoretical and empirical. The aim of the theoretical part of the work is to acquaint the reader with the development of the educational curriculum in the Czech Republic, basic terms, and principles of drama education. The empirical part of the work presents the results of the research. The research was carried out in the preparation phase of this work. The aim of the research was to map how the principles of drama education are reflected at the primary schools in the Šluknov Hook. The appendices include a proposal for a drama education lesson for an elementary teaching class. The aim was to show that it is possible to implement elements of drama education into the teaching of compulsory subjects. The transition of a child from kindergarten to elementary school

This diploma thesis focuses on the period of a child's transition from kindergarten to elementary school, an important milestone in every child's life. The theoretical part addresses current legislation, preschool education with its goals and sylabus, entry to elementary school, the child's maturity and readiness, and factors, which affect a child's adaptation in elementary school. By utilizing investigative inquiries, this thesis confronts opinions of the lay and expert community on school maturity and readiness, a child's preparation for compulsory schooling, the cooperation of kindergarten and family and child's adaptation to the school system. From data gained through surveys and semi-structured interviews it is evident, that opinions of parents and educators are alike and supplement each other. The applied method of testing allowed to detect and compare the real level of school maturity and preparedness of children at preschool classes of kindergarten and pupils in first grade at elementary school. The level of school maturity and preparedness is higher with pupils of the first grade of elementary school, thereby proving the hypothesis.
