The Social Condition of Sole Wage Earners - A Comparative Analysis of Family Policy in The Czech Republic and France

This thesis discuss various steps how institution of family policy in France and the Czech Republic influences the social status of single mothers, or how it affects their standard of living an opportunities. The thesis is based on a comparative analysis of two measures. The first one concerns possibilities of work-life balance, the second one means of prevention from poverty. The key factor influencing work-life balance is the interplay between maternity/ parental leave, public childcare accesibility and flexible working time practice. The character and availability of allowances completes the picture of what the prevailing gender principles in each family policy are. Hence, it also demonstrates the situation of single mothers. Mothers with intellectual disabilities

The thesis deals with the phenomenon of motherhood for women with intellectual disabilities. The first chapter of the thesis is devoted to the question of who are parents with intellectual disabilities and how their own personality influences their motherhood. The second chapter is concentrated on formal and informal sources of help that mothers with intellectual disabilities receive abroad. The third chapter aims to concentrate on existing system providing help to people with mental illness in the Czech Republic. The last part of the thesis presents a research project whose aim was to analyze the current situation of women-mothers with intellectual disabilities and understand how these women perceive their addressed motherhood and identify problems that women deal with during their pregnancy and motherhood. The research also describes what kind of support they receive. During the project was used a qualitative research which methods are presented by interviews. The research is based on analysis of interviews with four mothers with intellectual disabilities, which are further processed by using The Grounded Theory. Involvement of fathers in child care

This thesis deals with issue of involvement fathers in child care and their institutional support by the family policy of the Czech Republic - especially maternity, paternity and parental leave as arrangements allowing parents to harmonize work and family. The text is focused on forms of these arrangements with emphasis on the role of father, and their influence on the distribution of gender roles within family. The paper introduces the reader to the current setting of the Czech family policy. The text analyzes the reason why to promote active fatherhood and according to analysis of documents is pointed out to the general ways, which may lead to increase in the percentage of men taking a parental leave. After that the phenomenon of active fatherhood is situated into the context of the European Union and current trends in this area. The paper implies, that the current adjustments of family policy in the Czech Republic does not provide sufficient motivation for the fathers and highlights the key issues in this area. Based on the findings of expert interviews recommendations for the Czech Republic are formulated.
Woman on The Labour Market in the Situation of the Mother

This thesis is focused on women - mothers in the labour market. The aim of the thesis is to acquaint current situation in the labour market for women who wish to return to employment after maternity or parental leave. This thesis examines the posibility for women to harmonize employment with childcare. Theoretical knowledges are supported by research findings and my questionnaire survey, where women express their opinion on the situation in the Czech Republic and the attitude of employers of these women.
Analysis of today's system of pre-school care in the Czech Republic

This bachelor thesis deals with the current situation on childcare market in the Czech Republic, the legislative analysis and the conceptual side of case, the comparison of pre-school facilities and solution of insufficient capacity in nursery schools. Case study analyzing the offer of childcare in Jihlava in comparison with Prague 2 shows that private facilities in Prague cover a large part of demand and the price of tuition is up to three times higher compared to Jihlava. Lack of capacity in kindergarten will remain dominant for several years. A solution could be the legislative changes, reducing the number of postponement of compulsory school attendance, or the construction of modular nurseries.
Support for families with children in the Czech Republic

Work Support for families with children in the Czech Republic provides a summary of the Czech family policy - its forms, types of benefits for families, objectives and functioning. But first, the work provides an introduction to the topic of family policy. For comparison and for evaluation of the Czech family policy are following examples of family policies in Sweden, Italy, Great Britain and the United States. As shown in the demographic and economic indicators, each policy has a different impact on the lives of families in the state. Based on a comparison is Czech family policy in most cases successful. But it should be inspire by some forms of aid compared states in the future.

This bachelor thesis deals with the formation of emotional bonds between mother and child. It aims to show mothers, who currently apply the expanding way of childcare, carrying a baby in a special scarf, "a baby wrapping". The theoretical part describes the childcare, somatic and mental development of infants and how the emotional bond between mother and child is created. It also focuses on the phenomenon of a baby wrapping. The practical part determines the characteristics of mothers who decided for this method of nurture, describe their reasons, experience and whether the baby wrapping affected the emotional attachment. The main research method it´s survey.
Current family policy and its effectiveness in the milieu of the Czech Republic and Sweden

The thesis deals with comparison of family policy systems in the Czech Republic and Sweden in order to assess the overall profamily environment in these countries. Thesis analyzes the specific tools to support families and evaluates their effectiveness in terms of whether they are able to secure the young generation with some financial resources and create conditions for reconciliation of family and work. Swedish family policy is in this regard considered successful, as evidenced here a relatively high birth rate due to adverse demographic trends in other countries, such as the Czech Republic. Work in fact seeks the causes of the family policy success in Sweden and its shortcomings in the Czech Republic, points out the differences in systems of family policies due to different historical development, which reflects the volume of financial funds for families with children, and indicates as a key variable in the success of family policy area of reconciling work and family lives, where the Czech Republic currently lags far behind.
