Job description of school special educator

The diploma thesis deals with the activities of a special educator at a regular elementary school. Thesis is interested in his position and role in the school, his competence or job description and how other pedagogical staff treat his work at the school. The theoretical part of the thesis defines the legislative anchoring of the profession of special educator and the whole system of education. The thesis defines the methods and forms of work that are most suitable in the education of pupils with special educational needs. The thesis also provides an insight into the consulting system and its specifics with an emphasis on the functioning of the school consulting centre. The empirical part of the thesis consists of mixed research. It is based on the evaluation of a questionnaire survey, which examines the opinions of teachers on the work of the school consulting centre and above all opinions on the position of a special teacher at the school. The questionnaires were distributed to teachers and teacher assistants and asked what benefits and shortcomings they see in the work of the school special educator and how they think they work with pupils, their parents and other teachers. Assesment of learning outcomes in inclusive educatin at a primary school

This Master's thesis is focused on assessment of learning outcomes in inclusive education at primary school. First part of the thesis involves theoretical basis for learning assessment in inclusive education. This theoretical basis is further applied in the practical part. In the practical part, a set of research questions was presented, which were subsequently subjected to qualitative research. To answer the questions, action research supplemented with interviews and questionnaires submitted to teachers and parents were used. Samples of questionnaires are included in the annexes. Inclusive education from the view of primary school principals

This bachelor thesis deals with inclusive education from the view of primary school principals. This topic has been oftentimes discussed from the year 2016 due to settings new conditions for implementation of inclusive education. These conditions were set up by the amendment to the education act and ministerial decree No. 27/2016 Sb. The main goal of this bachelor thesis was to find out if the tasks from strategic documents are fulfilled in selected primary schools. Other goals were to find out how street-level bureaucrats can influence the implementation of inclusive education, then map how the principals cooperate with other stakeholders and identify the factors which negatively influence the fulfilment of the tasks from strategy documents. The results were detected through a case study. During the research I made six semi-structured interviews with primary schools principals in Praha-východ district.
Child with autism in the context of inclusive education

This diploma thesis deals with the issue of inclusion of children with autism in pre-school education. It describes the concept of autism and its specificities, which can be significantly manifested in the inclusion of children in joint education up to the age of six. It points to the potential pitfalls that can arise in education and training. It explains concepts related to autistic spectrum disorders and discusses in detail the triad of impairments and related issues based on expert opinions. The thesis also shows different approaches and proven procedures for working with children with autism not only in kindergarten, but also for practice in the family. It describes different cognitive styles and other specifics that may arise in connection with autistic spectrum disorders and have a major impact on the child and his surroundings. It also includes personal examples from practice that illustrate the complexity and diversity of working with children with autistic spectrum disorder in kindergarten. The attitudes and experience of Primary school teachers with inclusion of pupils with mental disabilities

The thesis deals with the issue of inclusive education of pupils with mild intellectual disabilities in Czech mainstream schools focusing on attitudes and experiences of teachers of a selected elementary school on this issue. The theoretical part defines the concept of inclusion in the context of the Czech educational system and legislative measures related to this topic. It summarizes the concept of intellectual disability, describes what an intellectual disability is, what families of a child with intellectual disabilities are facing, and defines the specifics of educating a pupil with an intellectual disability. It also deals with special educational needs and measures for the education of pupils with this disability, which are embedded in the education act and aim to support the inclusive education of pupils with mild intellectual disabilities. The empirical part of the thesis analyses the interviews with teachers of a selected elementary school in the Central Bohemian Region. While conducting the research, the semi-structured interviews were gathered and the attitudes of teachers towards the explored issues were described. The final part summarizes and graphically elaborates findings of the qualitative research and suggests recommendations for possible further research and teaching practice.
Preparation of Special Educationist for Inclusion School

This bachelor thesis deals with the preparation of special educationist for inclusive school. In the theoretical part, there are described concepts of integration, inclusion, common education, professional workplaces and the position of a special school educationist . For the research part of the bachelor thesis there are determined two main research objectives. The first objective describes the possibilities for further education of special educationists in the common education area. The second objective aimed to find out how special educationist perceive the common education of pupils in the education mainstream. For the research part there was used the qualitative type of research based on the method of questioning. As a technique of data collection was selected the semi-structured interview. The responding sample collected ten school-special educationists who work at primary schools in the South Bohemian Region České Budějovice and Strakonice. The research has shown how often the special educationist attend additional qualification courses and common pupil training courses which are currently offered by a different institutions and they looking for the necessary information on current legislation. From the analysis of special educationists personal opinions , I came to the conclusion that mainly negative opinions prevailed among them in the question of the common education. Very often there were criticized unpreparedness and lack of knowledge of educationists, so frequent legislative changes or the large number of pupils in the class. On the other hand there was positively evaluate a support for pupils with special educational needs thanks to support measures and also the same opportunities for all pupils. The results of the bachelor's thesis can be used by special school educationists working in schools as well as by special educationists working in school counseling facilities. Here after educationists assistant or university students in the field of special pedagogy study. I see the benefit of this work in the need of the current situation mapping which is new in the Czech education system and has not been studied yet well up to now.
The Specifics of Disabled Child Education in School Center with Inklusive Conditions

The bachelor thesis "The specifics of the education of a child with disabilities in a school club in inclusive conditions" deals with the legislation of common education and support provision. The theoretical part defines the characteristics of school community, school counseling facilities and types of child handicap. This thesis points to the meaningful and helpful common education of children at common schools and their support. Children with disabilities learn how to live and work with other children and "healthy" children improve their ability and competences how to live with these children. The empirical part describes the specifics of special pedagogues´ work with disabilite children in the school clubs. The survey was attended by 6 informants from school clubs of primary schools in České Budějovice and region Prachatice. The research shows specific methods and principles of working with children with disabilities, ways of informing teachers, supporting the education of special pedagogy by the employer and the level of cooperation between parents of handicapped children and school. The research shows that support provision, awareness of children with disabilities and cooperation with parents are important. On the basis of the respondents' answers, it was found that children with the third degree of support prevail in the mentioned schools, educators use different information, different methods and aids. Most respondents consider their education to be sufficient. Some of them cooperate with the teacher's assistant. It is also important for them to work with children´s parents.
The role headmaster in the change management process of the school

This final thesis deals with role of the headmaster in process of change and is divided into theoretical and research part. Theoretical part is about problematics of change management. It defines causes of change, its phases, process and how is the change managed and all connecting issues. Other chapters focus on change management in education, especially from headmaster's point of view. Conclusion of the theoretical part focuses on inclusive education change implementation. Goal of the research part is to find out, what kind of roles did headmaster's in Ústecký region held within the process of change due to inclusive education implementation. For the research itself, quantitative method was chosen with the questioning technique. Results showed for example that most of the headmasters doesn't feel change due to inclusive education implementation as required or well prepared. Most of the headmasters also feel, that they give enough space for their employees to participate in change management and they are willing to discuss their opinions on this change with them. Results also showed, that headmasters mostly took the manager's, executive's or all three roles at the same time (leader, manager and executive) during the change process. Inclusive environment of a primary school class including teachers assistant

This diploma thesis deals with the development of the school climate in a classroom with a seriously physically disabled child who requires permanent presence of an assistant. The theoretical part focuses on physical disabilities and their impact on the psyche of the child, the specifics of including a seriously disabled child in educational instructional contexts and the life of the classroom, and on the cooperation between a form teacher and an assistant whose support and help is required by the child during all lessons. The practical part uses a narrative of two girls and people who are closely related to them to offer answers to the inquiries into how have relationships within such a classroom and the attitude of classmates to a disabled child changed over the years; how can the presence of an assistant affect the climate of the classroom; and whether the external perception of the inclusion of a disabled child as a successful one corresponds with the feelings of the disabled child, of if the child sees the process otherwise.
