How does the school management assign teachers to classrooms at selective elementary schools?

The dissertation deals with the topic of how the school management of Czech primary schools assign teachers to classrooms. The aim of the thesis was to define the system of assigning teachers to classrooms at schools applying pupils' differentiation and to clarify which criteria the school management follows in the assignment of teachers to the classrooms. The theoretical part was based on both domestic and foreign sources dealing with the concept of differentiation of pupils in primary education and with the choice of assignment of teachers to classrooms. Differentiation of pupils was presented in terms of the positive effects of effective education of similarly competent pupils and in terms of the view that differentiation supports the unequal distribution of pupils in classes and the subsequent recruitment of teachers applying different demands and curriculum. In addition, a model of pupils' differentiation and models of assignment of teachers to classrooms were presented, and also the theoretical model of teacher's knowledge was introduced, which was further used in the empirical part for the determination of the criteria for assigning teachers to classrooms. Faculty school and its role in teacher training

In the theoretical part of the thesis I am going to focus on the theoretical problems of teaching practice at universities and its role in the preparation of future teachers. In the practical part I will use questionnaires and interviews to seek features of a good faculty school, and try to specify areas that demand more support to faculty schools from the Faculty of Education. School Climate

The central point of this thesis is the matter of school climate. The text seeks to cover the important features of this phenomenon and to set its theoretical framework. The thesis itself consists of two main parts: theory and research. To understand school climate we cover the terminology in the first chapter of the theoretical part. The second chapter goes into deeper details of school climate such as its structure and effects. In the third chapter, we take a closer look at salient features and factors impacting school climate. Of these features, students and teachers are the most important elements contributing to the school climate and as such are covered most extensively. The last chapter discusses various criterions to assess the pattern of the school climate. The research section is centered around an opinion survey focused on school climate perception from the standpoint of students, teachers, and parents conducted in smaller city high schools. Next to the description of climates observed, the research also compares the key indicators as well as the views of the survey participants.

Irena Lhotková, Ph.D. ABSTRACT: The object of my dissertation "The effective communication between the school management and the school board" is to analyze the ways of communication between the members of school boards and school management. The goal is to find out which ways of communication areostly used, their positive and negative features, and the frequency and reasons of this communication between both sides. Based on the figures emerging from the research that has been carried out to design recommendations which would help to choose the appropriate form of communication and make the whole communication process easier. The theoretical part of the dissertation deals with defining of terms such as communication, communication process, types, forms and functions of communication, school board and school management. The practical part arranges the survey, carried out in the form of questionnaire, based on allegations. At the end of the thesis the recommendation for an effective communication is suggested. Cluster analysis of final thesis dealing with the term competence

7 ABSTRACT: This thesis analyzes the final thesis, bachelor's and master's ones defended at The School Management Centre Department of the Education Faculty of Charles University in Prague for the period from 2010 until 2012. This thesis deals with cluster analysis theses dealing with the term competence, particularly in the area of school leadership, that leaders and managers of schools. Theses researches of adequate extent i.e. eight bachelor's and three master's theses, will also focus on competence in the field of personnel management at schools. A qualitative method will be used for the thesis work, which will be conducted content analysis of the text and its interpretation, whose main tool is an effective methodological comparison. It is necessary to observe the principle of objectivity. The final theses will not be evaluated otherwise objectively compared. The thesis work is indicating any differences between claims that have not been investigated. The comparison will focus on the tools to determine ways of grasping the subject, the author styles, etc. The resulting model presents a comparison of research expertise of final university thesis dealing with common theme competence in the field of school leadership, summary knowledge of the topic. The thesis deals with the theme of sources of law in the field of secondary education founded by higher territorial administrative units. Progressed according to pre-tent outline: definition of basic concepts and methods, description of school management issues and management of secondary schools, an overview of legislation and synthesizing conclusion. The largest emphasis of the work is on legislation, acquaint with them and clear classification. The topic is always current, because the Czech legislation very often change, causing confusion in the whole system.
