Radová, Markéta ; Pospíšilová, Tereza (advisor) ; Frič, Pavol (referee)
The thesis focuses on the functioning of volunteering within the family. The theoretical part deals with the definition of concepts related to the definition of volunteering. This thesis also includes the search of foreign literature which is dedicated to the study of volunteering in the family. In the empirical part is applied a qualitative research which is performed by the method of grounded theory. In the thesis are employed in-depth interviews on members of three families in which more than one family member volunteers are actively involved. The aim of the thesis is to add a different point of view into the topic of transfer of volunteering in the family. This thesis points out the family dimension of volunteering which most studies nowadays marginalize. Exploring the transfer of volunteering in the family is able to provide a unique insight of how each member is aware of volunteering. It also considers how and for which reasons the family members are or are not committed to the volunteering.
The role of media in consumer socialization of children
Jelínková, Klára ; Rosenfeldová, Jana (advisor) ; Wolák, Radim (referee)
This diploma thesis deals with the issue of consumer socialization. Socialization is influenced by four main factors, which are the media, family, peers and school. The aim of this work is to examine the role that the media play in the process of consumer socialization. The media are examined in the context of other factors that are inseparable from each other and therefore cannot be studied separately. The theoretical part deals with the phenomenon of consumption and consumer society, which are a prerequisite for consumer socialization. It also presents basic knowledge in the field of socialization, the media as a socialization factor and, last but not least, existing knowledge and research associated with consumer socialization. Through qualitative interviews with children aged ten to twelve, data were collected, which was then interpreted by thematic analysis. The analysis shows that children reflect their consumption and consumer desires by what is happening or seen in the media. The media itself is also consumed by children, but in the environment of new media it is often a matter of prosuming, ie that children are both producers and consumers of media content. In the process of consumer socialization, the media can be perceived as a significant actor and at the same time as a link that...

The transition from elementary school to secondary school is for students very stressful period, that is why I focus mainly on school strain. In the theoretical part I define the term adolescent and his mental and physical development. Further I deal with the socializing of adolescents regarding a relationship with parents and children of the same age. The methods which are used for processing the theoretical part is the study of professional literature sources, creation of extracts and their analysis, comparison and synthesis. The aim of the practical part is to find out what problems arise with students in the first year of the secondary school with graduation and vocational schools. What is the school strain, what problems they have with new school work, or a community, and who solves these problems with them? These are some questions which I paid my attention to in the exploratory investigation. A questionnaire method is applied. A tool used for the data collection is a questionnaire, made for the survey purposes. Respondents are students of the first years of secondary school and students of the first year of vocational school. Data from questionnaires are compiled in tables and graphs.

Europeanization of selected non-governmental organizations dealing with integration policy
Kučerová, Aneta ; Šlosarčík, Ivo (advisor) ; Kasáková, Zuzana (referee)
This diploma thesis examines the Europeanization of selected Czech non-governmental organizations that are dealing with integration policy. The issue of non-state actors and their Europeanisation requires special attention in view of the fact that it is linked to the participation of civil society in the European area, which offers non-governmental organizations new opportunities and resources that can further shape them. The thesis examines Europeanization in three types of cooperation - in financial resources, the involvement of organizations in European networks and in expert resources. The core of this research was the question of the extent to which we can talk about the Europeanization of financial resources and/or the internationalization of expertise among the surveyed actors. At both of these levels, the European Union has proved to be an important source of funding as well as a political arena where new ties can be established between like-minded actors. However, contrary to the financial cooperation, cooperation in sharing expertise was not found in all organizations that were examined. The internationalization of expertise, and thus the sharing of information and know-how between Czech and European organizations, is more widespread among those entities that deal with European affairs...
