Jedličková, Monika ; Blažková, Veronika (advisor) ; Váchová, Alena (referee)
The diploma thesis deals with the method of Feuerstein's instrumental enrichment and its influence on pupils with combined disabilities. The aim is to find out whether and how much the regular application of Feuerstein's method of instrumental enrichment affects pupils with combined disabilities and the development of their cognitive functions. The theoretical part consists of six chapters. The first chapter introduces the personality of Reuven Feuerstein, his life and the way to create a method of instrumental enrichment. The second part introduces the method of instrumental enrichment, explains in detail what instrumental enrichment is and its origin. The third chapter summarizes the theoretical basis of instrumental enrichment, presents cognitive functions and their possible deficits, and introduces the system of structural cognitive modifiability, its pillars and areas. The fourth chapter introduces the concept of mediated learning, which context is emphasized and its three basic key parameters, which are: a / focus and reciprocity; b / transfer of learned; c / mediation of the importance of learning activities. He states that the essence of this teaching is their joint use in one specific situation and which actors are taken into an account. This chapter also presents Feuerstein's equation for...

This study evaluates the benefits of short-term, relatively intensively implemented training programme aimed at enhancing the development of pre-reading skills (specifically phoneme awareness and letter knowledge) in the last year of kindergarten. The evaluation of the benefits is carried out in comparison with the situation without the implementation of the work methodology and with the use of available work content with content aimed at the development of graphomotor skills with commented instruction. Sixty-nine children from four kindergartens were randomly assigned to three groups: pre-reading intervention group (resp. phoneme awareness and letter knowledge intervention), graphomotor skills intervention group and no- training group. Intervention programs were implemented as a 10-week training programmes in the frequency of 3 training lessons per week. The results provide an evaluation of the variability pre-literacy pre-reading performance in regular kindergarten classes and the benefits of the evaluated training program in terms of mobilizing pre-literacy pre-reading skills before starting school. This work maps the current situation in the field of intervention/training tools, their specifics and targets literacy and key pre-literacy skills important for the development of children in the...
Weight loss with the help of physical activities and healthy eating
KOPEČKOVÁ, Vendula
My bachelor thesis focuses on the topic of weight reduction. The aim is to set and verify a month-long program to reduce weight thanks to regular exercise and balanced healthy diet. Statistic methods, methods of exercise program application, rules of healthy eating, anthropometric measurements, and questionnaire were used to research how the intervention program affects body weight, muscle weight, the size of problematic body parts especially waistline and hipline. There were positive changes in the experimental group in connection with the intervention program. There were statistically important changes connected to weight loss, muscle weight, hipline, and waistline. On the other hand, there were no changes in the testing group which did not follow the intervention program. The effects of the formed program have been verified.

Svobodová, Karolína ; Daďová, Klára (advisor) ; Majorová, Simona (referee)
Title: Exercise with seniors in a retirement home with a special regime Objective: The main aim of the study was to determine whether seniors with cognitive impairment experience improvements that have a statistical significance in selected components of physical fitness after a three-month exercise program. Furthermore, it was checked whether regular physical activity changes their attitude towards exercise. Methods: The study involved 9 probands (3 of them male) aged 72 to 90 years with cognitive impairment. The probands completed a three-month program (April-June 2022) in which they performed group and seated chair exercises twice a week for sixty minutes. At the beginning and end of the intervention program, they underwent an orientation fitness assessment using the senior fitness test and a questionnaire form on health limitations and attitudes toward exercise. Results: The results of the senior fitness test showed that there was a statistically significant improvement in the parameters of lower limb strength, and agility with dynamic balance. Some improvement was seen in the other parameters, but without the statistical significance. Most probands showed a positive change in their attitude towards physical activity. Possibilities of cognitive functions in seniors
Dvořáková, Veronika ; Felcmanová, Lenka (advisor) ; Šumníková, Pavlína (referee)
The thesis deals with the possibilities of development of cognitive functions in the elderly. It focuses on the most frequently impaired cognitive functions in the elderly. The main objectives of the thesis were to find out how cognitive functions are stimulated in the elderly in residential services or in homes for the elderly, in field care services and also in seniors living independently who depend on the support of family members. Another aim was to develop a specific intervention programme that would have a positive impact on the development of cognitive functions in the elderly. The results, obtained from the analysis of the individual interviews, are compiled in three case studies, which are divided according to the services mentioned above. The results of this qualitative research indicate that in each of the forms of care studied, attempts are made to address the senior and their cognitive functions. In some cases, a targeted focus on memory only was found, while in others they focus on the all-round development of cognitive functions. However, they always work with the individual needs and health status of the senior. The interviews revealed that the staff members interviewed support the development of cognitive function through directly identified activities throughout the day. On the...

Jandáková, Simona ; Hráský, Pavel (advisor) ; Jurák, Daniel (referee)
Title: Diagnosis and correction of muscle imbalances with regard to swimmers aged 12 to 17 years Objectives: The main aim of this work is to find out what imbalances selected teen swimmers have. Further verify the effectiveness of the proposed compensation program for these swimmers. Methods: Diagnosis of the musculoskeletal system was performed using selected tests for measuring balance abilities (Romberg test, Flamingo), examination of muscle shortening and weakening (testing according to Janda and Kopřivová and Čermák), evaluation of postural and respiratory stereotype and evaluation of deep stabilization system bed). These tests were applied to a selected group of swimmers. The measured values served as an input test (pretest), on the basis of which a compensation program was designed. After the end of the three-month compensation program, a control measurement (posttest) followed, the results of which were compared with the pretest. Key words: Swimming, compensatory exercises, prevention of injuries to swimmers, intervention program, stabilization and mobilization system
