The Integrated Communication Model Paradigm
Sysel, Ondřej ; Mucha, Ivan (advisor) ; Trampota, Tomáš (referee)
Summarizing the thesis in a brief manner demands reduction of the thoughts and concepts presented in it. Therefore, the main aim of this summary is to relate the terminology we had to establish in our theoretical research of communication from a system-theory perspective. The history of the European monetary unions
Přílepková, Hana ; Půlpán, Karel (advisor) ; Pazderník, Roman (referee)
This thesis depicts monetary integration of the European states from the second half of the nineteenth century to the period after the First World War, which was taking place against the background of the then metallic monetary systems. The aim is to provide a comprehensive view of the historical developement of integrating tendencies and to reveal the reasons of its successes and failures. The first part provides a brief theoretical introduction, the stress is putted especially on the theory of optimal currency areas. The remaining parts deal with monetary unions of the surveyed period. Firstly we look at the ways in which national and multinational monetary unions of the nineteenth century were realized. The spontaneous adoption of the gold standard by the majority of countries in the 1870s created world monetary union based on a system of fixed exchange rates. Finally we focuse on the Austro-Hungarian monetary union. Powered by TCPDF (www.tcpdf.org)

The goul and purpose of the disertation is to find the overlaping aeras of special pedagogy and art therapy in the new paradigm of education, including special education - in inclusion. In diseration work there are introduced the main theoretical approaches of current art therapy, focusing on the spiritualy- ecological approach, which correstondents in it's holistic and integrating approach to the modern main spreams of special education. The theoretical background is ilustrated by case studies and interpretation and evaluating methods developed by the author of this work. Powered by TCPDF (www.tcpdf.org)

EU and Terorism - Evolution of Common Policy 1999-2005
Hulicius, Eduard ; Šlosarčík, Ivo (advisor) ; Weiss, Tomáš (referee)
This thesis is dedicated to answer a question: How does the legislative and institutional answer of the EU on a challenge of new "superterrorism" look and are they different from traditional answers on "national terrorism"? The major problem of European anti-terrorism policy is the fact, that it is a relatively new issue. Efforts to organise on basis of existing integration a common coordinating policy in the 1970's and 1980's were only minor and unimportant. The impulse created in Maastricht Treaty on European union by establishing a pillar structure of the EU was important due to development of the third Pillar dedicated to Justice and Home affairs (JHA). Intergovernmental nature of this pillar has reduced possibilities of the central institutions to influence creation of the new policies. However, a new agency - EUROPOL. European police agency was to be established thanks to the Treaty. Combat with terrorism was only one of many targets of the newly created JHA policies throughout 1990's. Action Plan on JHA from Tampere (1999) focused primarily on migration issues. The EU is focusing on a multi- forged strategy to deal with terrorism. In comparison to example of the USA is the main focus of the E U laid on internal policies. The EU position can be described as responsive - although the latest development...

Integration of Children with Mental Disabilities in Nursery Schools
Birth Trauma
Kovaříková, Zuzana ; Goldmann, Petr (advisor) ; Procházková, Jana (referee)
The aim of the thesis is to present the concern with the issue of birth trauma. Theoretical part deals with birth as a psycho-physiological process and a socio-cultural phenomenon. Practical part constitutes of interviews with women who experienced traumatising birth. The interview material is analysed by use of qualitative metodology and is presented as birth stories. Birth is a very sensitive time in both child's and mother's lives and plays a crucial role in forming their relationship. It can be the most beautiful experience in woman's life and, from the psychological point of view, a big source of energy, self- confidence and pride which positively influence the mother-child relationship. On the other hand, childbirth experience can turn into an extreme psychological distress resulting in feelings of guilt and one's inferiority and have long-term negative effects on the integrity of the mother-child relationship. The thesis presents a complex variety of circumstances and reasons which may result in birth trauma. It focuses on the influence of obstetric care and communication between medical staff and the birthing woman that often lead to birth trauma and place a great strain on the mother-child relationship. The present work also discusses ways of dealing with the problem. Powered by TCPDF (www.tcpdf.org)

Institutional aspects of the democratic deficit: The role of national parliaments in EU matters
Knutelská, Viera ; Plechanovová, Běla (advisor) ; Karlas, Jan (referee) ; Braun, Mats Rickard (referee)
This dissertation deals with institutional aspects of the democratic deficit of the European Union, particularly the powers of national parliaments and their capabilities to influence decision-making at the European level. The national parliaments' role in European integration became an interesting research area thanks to their greater involvement in the EU affairs in the last twenty years. However, because of the many developments of the European integration in the last twenty years (including both deepening and broadening of integration), many questions remain open. These include involvement of national parliaments both on European level and on national level; for obvious reasons, the latter has been studied less regarding the parliaments of the Member States that joined the Union in 2004 and 2007. While this dissertation deals with some aspects of the work of national parliaments of all Member States, more detailed studies are devoted to the cases of the Czech Republic, Poland and Slovakia. This dissertation poses questions in the three main areas of research that are all devoted to some practical aspects of national parliaments' involvement in European affairs. First, it examines the involvement of national parliaments at the European level and whether national parliaments do have the...

Distribution of the turbulent kinetic dissipation rate in an agitated vessel
Kysela, Bohuš ; Sulc, R. ; Konfršt, Jiří ; Chára, Zdeněk ; Fořt, I. ; Ditl, P.
The design of the agitated tanks depends on the proposed operating conditions and processes\nfor that they are used for. Namely dissipation rate of the turbulent kinetic energy is important\nparameter for the scale-up modelling. The dissipation rate is commonly determined as integral\nvalue based on power input of the impeller, but without information about distribution inside\nthe agitated volume. The cumulative distributions of the dissipation rate within an agitated\nvessel are estimated by evaluations of the CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamics) results,\nwhere the data was obtained from RANS (Reynolds Averaged Navier-Stokes equations) and\nLES (Large Eddy Simulations). The simulations were performed for an agitated vessel\nequipped with four baffles and stirred by a standard Rushton turbine (tank diameter 0.3 m,\nimpeller diameter 0.1 m, off-bottom clearance half of tank diameter, impeller speed 200 rpm).\nThe values of the dissipation rate from the LES calculations were approximated by computing\nthe SGS (Sub Grid Scale) dissipation rate.
