Map making in geography education from teachers' perceptive

The diploma thesis focuses on map making during lessons, which, according to previous research, happens only rarely, even though it has the potential to comprehensively develop pupils. The main objective of the thesis is to characterize in more detail map making during geography lessons at Czech lower-secondary schools and to identify which factors prevent teachers from incorporating this activity more frequently into their lessons. The theoretical part of the thesis describes map skills, including the skill of map making, which is subsequently characterized in detail. A crucial part is the classification of map types, which can be made during school lessons, based on Czech and foreign literature compiled by the author. The theoretical part also summarizes the occurrence of map making in curriculum frameworks, the benefits of map making, teachers' attitudes towards this activity, and the level of pupils' map making skills from the perspective of their teachers. The data for the empirical part of the thesis were obtained through a questionnaire survey, in which 253 geography teachers from lower-secondary schools participated. Children with challenging behaviour as a source of burden for primary school teachers

The thesis deals with the challenging behaviour of children from the perspective of first grade primary school teachers who perceive this behaviour as a significant source of professional stress. The aim of the thesis is to map which forms of children' behaviour are identified by teachers as the most burdensome, what they experience in relation to exposure to challenging behaviour and what teachers lack in order to manage the professional burden better. The theoretical section provides background information on the emotions and stress experienced by teachers. The next part is devoted to the concept of challenging behaviour of children, its forms and manifestations. Finally, the area of social support for teachers is discussed and the importance of mental hygiene is mentioned. The aim of the practical part is to trace, through a qualitative investigation by analysing semi- structured interviews, which children' behaviour is identified as challenging by the first-grade teachers at the selected school, what they experience in connection with exposure to this behaviour, what support they receive from the school management and the school counselling centre, or what additional support they would welcome and what they themselves do to be able to carry out their work with less professional burden. The bachelor's thesis deals with the influence of the school principal on the further education of teaching staff. The main goal is to find out and evaluate what influence the school principal has on the further education of teaching staff. The thesis is divided into a theoretical and a practical parts. The theoretical part defines the concept of a school principal, describes his/her functions and roles, and determines the competences of a primary school principal. It also deals with further education of teaching staff. The basic terms related to further education of teaching staff, legal anchoring and strategic documents related to the issue are clarified. The division of continuing training of teaching staff and current methods of educational events is indicated. The work also describes the activities of the director in the process of further education of teaching staff at the school. Pilot survey and questionnaire survey in the field of the application of gym terminology in practice at primary schools

Characteristics: This diploma thesis deals with the issue of gym terminology. The gymnastic terminology is one of the means of communication with students in physical education, through which we fulfil pedagogical goals. By using PE vocabulary we expand the vocabulary of the pupils and reduce the percentage of wasted time. The history of this terminology, its systematics and its importance in practice are characterized. The thesis also deals with the framework educational programmes and school curricula. Furthermore, the theoretical part of the thesis characterizes the main professional skill of a teacher, namely communication. Objectives and Perspectives: The main aim of the thesis is to create a questionnaire survey that addresses the issue of the use of gym terminology in school physical education. Obtained replies are used to assess the current state of the use of PE terminology in selected primary schools. Methods: The main research method was the questionnaire method. Non-standardized questionnaires with closed and open questions were used for PE teachers of primary schools. 101 teachers who teach physical education at primary school participated in the survey. How the teaching profession affects the compenstaion of type I diabetics

The diploma thesis of the topic of How the teaching profession affects the compensation of type I. diabetics consists of two parts. And that for the theoretical and practical part. Within the framework of the theoretical work, the content is focused not only on the characteristics of what diabetes mellitus actually is as such, but primarily deals with diabetes mellitus type I. in relation to the topic of the diploma thesis. There are selected topics such as diabetes treatment options, new developments in closed-loop therapy, but also acute and chronic complications, diabetes distress and diabetes depression. There are also topics related to the teaching profession, such as the characteristics of teacher within teaching as a profession, who can teach, but also gender representation in education and teacher burnout sydrome. As part of the practical part a questionnaire survey was asked, which was focused on the effect on the overal compensation of type i. diabetic who works as a teacher. According to the results of the questionnaire survey, in which 33 respondents took part, it cannot be said that teaching profession have an effect on the compensation. The thesis deals with the topic "Training and development of teaching staff in the organization of merged kindergartens". The aim of the thesis is to identify and analyze the educational needs of teaching staff in kindergartens in the context of their further education and to propose a concept of further education of teaching staff of the organization. The theoretical part introduces the basic concepts and describes the system education, forms and methods of educational development of the staff of the selected organization. The thesis describes the importance of lifelong learning in the framework of continuing education of teaching staff, then the concept of who is a teaching staff, what is education and learning, human resources and their management. The thesis introduces formal, non- formal and informal adult education. It describes, among other things, the legislative framework for continuing education of teaching staff.
