Miriam Kotrusová, Ph.D. Abstract The bachelor thesis deals with the examination possibilities and strategies for combination of university studies and employment in the Czech Republic in the context of difficult employment of graduates in the labour market at present, with emphasis on increasing their employability. Attention is focused on the issue of working students at universities. The goal is to identify student's strategies combine daily study and work and how to help the students to prevent them or legislative conditions. The work has an analytical character and operates as primary research data from semi-structured interviews and secondary data from foreign studies and legislative documents. Data are analysed using content and thematic analysis.

Early leavings students'at school

The main topic of this dissertation is the phenomenon of premature exits from high-school studies which more often end by the really finish of studies. The problem is bigger that it seems to be and it is not only the problem just for education but it is the problem for the whole society with connetions to the economic, psychology, sociology and other areas. The term of this disseration is not only to determine the premature exits from high schools, their reasons and connections but to determine the pupil's personality from the evolutionary psychology view. The parts of this dissertation are also my own experiences and special arrangements to stop the premature exits from abroad. In the theoretical part I take the extract not only from the professional literature but my other sources are professional magazines, the National Education Institute and the Education Law. The practical part is based on the empirical research which is divided into few parts. It uses the quantitative research made by the data from the school register, and it is added of questionnaire for pedagogues, headmasters and new coming students. Author: Bc. Alexandra Rashkevich Title of thesis: Design of street furniture. A place to study in the open air. Keywords: city, park, street furniture, study, ergonomics, design. The content of this thesis is the design of a piece of street furniture. The starting point of the proposal is the theoretical part, which contains basic information about street furniture. An important part of the theoretical part of this thesis is the study of educational opportunities. Methods of attachment, materials and ergonomics are described in the next chapter. Before designing the product is necessary to research a market of street furniture, which includes an analysis of contemporary street furniture on the Czech and foreign market. In the design part is described the product design process, which is completed with sketches and visualizations. The final design is presented by 3D visualizations and technical drawings, which will serve as a basis for prototype production. Furthermore, was producer a 1:1 scale model and the product name was invented. The diploma thesis contains photos of the production process and photos of the final product.

Primary school students' physical competence in relation to their study results

Name Relation between physical fitness and study results of primary school students Goal The goal of the thesis is to examine physical fitness of primary school students, compare it with their study results, and see if there is any relatioship between these two variables. Methods Physical fitness is tested with tests and norms of Unifittest (6-60) (Měkota, Kovář, 2002) and study results are generated with questionnaires. The answers are then matched with Unifittest's results of each student. Results are processed with the help of statistical methods. Results The results of Unifittest (6- 60) showed above-average or well above-average level of fitness with 89 % of individuals. Only 11 % of participants reached the average score. The best performance was detected with girls of the 9 ͭ ͪ grade and boys of the 7 ͭ ͪ grade. Spearman correlation coefficient showed a medium-strong relation between the Unifittest (6- 60) results and grades from Czech language, foreign language, and mathematics in 2 categories. 6 ͭ ͪ grade girls had the correlation rₛ= 0,51 and 8 ͭ ͪ grade girls rₛ= 0,56. The Municipal Library of Frýdek-Místek

A library is a building that should not be forgotten. Currently, it is tough just to stop and have the calm around ourselves. This public institution may give us that as no other one around. It is not only about reading books, but the library may offer a lot of another possibilities from reading books through listening to music up to social events. Thus, this library is supposed to be oriented exactly like that for the city of Frýdek – Místek, since the city is not having any suitable premises for the institution nowadays. The building is designed in the park lot of the city centre of Místek. This bachelor thesis deals with a design for the library that is creating a new dominant building of the city as well as, together with given surroundings, another social centre where citizens can spend their leisure time.

The Municipal Library of Frýdek-Místek

The aim of this paper is to design a library in an area with a great potential. The plot of land is located in a centre of Místek and it has been used as a spacious car park. This design of library and surrounding areas should help to create an attractive point of interest which could also become a source of vision for the future. Apart from its basic functions, this library design also serves as a cultural centre and a leisure centre. This design makes visitors feel safe, like they are at home and could spend their whole day there. This design includes arranging surrounding free area which could serve as a park, square, a car park, and a market hall.

The Municipal Library of Frýdek-Místek

This Bachelor’s thesis concerns about design of the building of the city library in Frýdek-Místek. The site in question is situated in the historical center of Místek delimited by streets Hlavní třída, 8. pěšího pluku and Pivovarská. Currently, the location predominantly serves as an area for parking and also includes a bulding of a marketplace accompanied by few small market stands. The remaining area isn’t used. The design of the library (including a media, games and a sound library) aims to present a fully functioning institution for the 21st century with a welcoming environment for other related activities, therefore including a multifunctional hall and a cafe. A library, as perceived in modern times, apart from serving its visitors, also fulfills the function of a platform for interaction between various groups of the city’s residents. It should be a place for quiet educating but also for lively social interaction without barriers. The thesis also includes the design of modification of the surrounding area and the connections to the current transportation infrastructure.

The library has a lot of features. In addition to the most important, which is to lend books and work with them, it is also a place to meet people, rest, work, study and have fun. This multifunctional space in Frýdek - Místek is still missing. The building is designed on a plot that has great potential, located in the center of Místek and is currently a parking lot. This bachelor thesis deals with the design of the library, which combines all the above functions and creates a pleasant space for spending free time. There is also a modification of the surrounding areas, such as the square, park and parking.
