Realization of inclusive education in elementary schools in the Czech educational system

The master's thesis will analyze the current form and implementation of the principle of inclusive education in Czech elementary schools. The work will focus not only on the form of inclusive education itself, but also take into account its legislative basis in our country and compare it with the legislation of other countries that use it. The work will discuss the everyday reality of inclusion in elementary school, when the case study method will be used. The situation during the Covid-19 pandemic, which concerned inclusive education with many challenges, will also be taken into account. Influence school legislation from 2016 to process Primary School Práčská

This bachelor work deals with problematics of Czech modern education. It describes a new scholastic legislation and its influence on the operation of a primary school, established along §16 par. 9 Education Act. This work acquaints with history and development of special education. It work highlights an important role of school advisory institutions, which have a fundamental importance for assessment of support measures and placing pupils to educational institutions. The bachelor work describes the most common diagnoses of pupils with special educational needs and the most important points of the current scholastic legislation. The practical part of the bachelor work introduces the primary school Práčská, on which the research was made. I used a method of document analysis, for which was used a technique of long-term report, and a method of qualitative research with a technique of semi-structured interview. The final part of this work is dedicated to evaluation of the new scholastic legislation's influence and its impact on the primary school Práčská.
Work of a school special educational advisor in a school counseling centre

This thesis concerns the profession of the school special educational advisorr working in a mainstream primary school and his acting in favor of pupils with learning difficulities. The theoretical part describes the group of pupils with whom the school special educational advisor works and possibilities of this work, the cooperation with other partners (teachers, professionals and institutions outside the school and pupils' parents ) in supporting those pupils and the three-stage model of care for pupils at risk in school development. The practical part in the form of qualitative research examines how school special educational advisors acting in primary schools in Prague see themselves in their profession. Education of pupils suffering from ADHD in elementary school

Thesis consist of theoretical part and empirical part. In the theoretical part of the thesis the author will look into the characteristics of the ADHD syndrome and its subtypes. It will also focus on other issues related to ADHD, such as specific learning disabilities. The author will define the concept of ADHD, including its etiology. The theoretical part will also contain a part that will be devoted to diagnostics, treatment and medication of pupils with ADHD. This part will describe the specific manifestations of ADHD syndrome in each developement stage of a child. There will also be a part dedicated to special education needs and support measures that could be applied to an inclusive approach in education for pupils with ADHD. The research part will use a qualitative research method, including a case study, interview and observation. In this part of the work, the author will focus on two case studies of students with ADHD, supplemented by an interview with the mother of twins. The author intended to include an interview with teachers, but due to GDPR rules, teachers refused to provide one. School and Counseling Trajectory of Child with Asperger's Syndrome

The aim of this thesis is to look into the schooling and counselling trajectory of children with Asperger's syndrome. It is viewed from the childrens' perspective, and includes their parents' testimonies. Subsequently the thesis comments upon convergences and differences that appear in their respective statements. Data is collected using semi- structured interviews and is a qualitative research. Based on the analysis of the results, the findings are presented in the following areas: "what was before" (ie what preceded the diagnosis); school attendance; communicating with classmates and teachers; relationships at school; experience with consultation facilities and professional assistance; interests and similarities or differences of the views of the child and the parent. The most frequent topic mentioned among the results was the lack of expertise on Asperger's syndrome, which led to frequent misunderstandings or conflicts with a teaching staff. The results revealed also other themes such as: the need to tolerate individual conditions of the child during a class; deficits in communication and social interactions; positive perception of professional assistance and of cooperation of experts with the school. Issue of learning support tools for 1 st grade elementary special school pupils

This diploma theses is focused on problems of educational support tools for pupils of 1 st grade of The Elementary Special School. A theoretical part deals with problems of the mental handicap, mainly factors that significantly influence ability of education, and with a contemporary legislation of education of children with spetial educational needs. Furthermore it describes teaching programmes and didactic tools which are used at The Elementary Special Schools. Research target of the study is to find out a teacher's opinion about current teaching supports for given type of school and a survey of teacher's experience with use of new methods especially in relation to pupils who are usually integrated to their classes. Innovated teaching supports created on the basis of previous experience are subsequently verified in praxis and results of verification are partially documented by examples. According to research, current educational supports are convenient for pupils who cope with stipulated schoolwork easily. The other pupils have considerable difficulties to manage schoolwork therefore they need adapted teaching materials for their educational abilities.
