Simon, Vratislav ; Šípek, Jiří (advisor) ; Loneková, Katarína (referee)
The thesis deals with space responses in the Rorschach which are usually given into relation with oppositionality. The theoretical part focuses on the oppositionality phenomenon at a level of perception and personality and analyzes a variety of probable diagnostic meanings of space responses. The aim of empirical part is to verify the validity of space responses on a group of adolescent students. Results suggest that strong tendency to give space responses is not significantly related to the manifestation of oppositionality which was assessed by students' teachers. Discussion implies the need to interpret space responses in a context of an individual. Significantly higher occurrence of space responses was found in adolescent students compared to adult norms. The finding can point to a specific developmental need of independence which is typical for adolescents. Keywords: Rorschach test, Perception, Personality, Oppositionality, Adolescence
Personality differences in individuals of various sexual orientations
Fořt, Jakub ; Havlíček, Jan (advisor) ; Procházka, Ivo (referee)
The previous research identified a range of personality differences between men and women of various sexual orientations. Non-heterosexual individuals systematically show higher gender nonconformity and greater openness to experience than heterosexual individuals. Non-heterosexual men also show higher levels of neuroticism compared to heterosexual men. The main aim of this study is to replicate previous findings regarding personality differences. The study further aims to determine whether some of the observed differences in personality factors might be explained by differences in gender nonconformity among individuals of various sexual orientations. Via an online survey, a short version of the Big Five Inventory (BFI-10) and a number of scales measuring gender nonconformity were administered to men (N = 3,418) and women (N = 4,690). In total, 232 individuals identified as asexual, 1,814 as bisexual, 3,024 as heterosexual, 2,468 as homosexual, and 570 as pansexual. Our results demonstrate higher gender nonconformity among non-heterosexual men and women, higher neuroticism among non-heterosexual men, and greater openness to experience among bisexual men and women compared to heterosexual individuals. Asexual women showed lower levels of extraversion than women of other sexual orientations. Gender...

Klugerová, Sára ; Vranka, Marek (advisor) ; Houdek, Petr (referee)
This study examines Cialdini's six principles of persuasion, which are reciprocity, scarcity, authority, commitment, consensus, and liking, and people's perceptions of these principles based on personality, gender, age, and level of education. The specific goals of the research are to find out how respondents with different personality traits according to the Big Five personality model are related to the rating of individual principles, whether there is a significant difference in the rating between men and women, between younger adults, older adults and seniors, as well as between several levels of education, and what order of persuasiveness the individual principles take according to respondents' rating. In the theoretical part, the study also provides an insight into the possible way of using knowledge about connections with persuasive principles in practice, through artificial intelligence. Several findings emerged from the questionnaire. Respondents rated individual principles from most to least persuasive in the following order: commitment, reciprocity, liking, authority, consensus, and scarcity. This order was the same within all persons and individual groups. Research has found associations between personality factors and ratings of persuasive principles. It shows that less open...

Sasová, Viktorie ; Kuba, Radim (advisor) ; Šebánková, Blanka (referee)
Family represents one of the key environmental factors significantly influencing individuals. Previous studies have shown that the way a person is influenced within this environment i also determined by the role they occupy within the family. One of the related factors can be, among others, the birth order. It may play a role in shaping personality trats among siblings and influencing their life attitudes. For a better understanding of the effects of birth order, this work first addresses the differences between siblings from an evolutionary and ecological perspective, identifies the main factors influencing the birth order effect, and describes the tge characteristics of each specific birth order type. The work provides insights into the issue of birth order's influence, with particular focus on middle-born children, in relation to their personality, sexual behavior, and psychological specificities of middleborns. Research has shown that birth order has a significant effect on middle-born children, particularly in the areas of prosocial behavior, sexual strategy, and manifestations of self- harming or suicidal behavior. However, there is a relatively limited number of atudies specifically addressing the influence of birth order on middlborns. Additionally, many of these studies were published...
