Context of family upbringing style and aggression in children of younger school age

The bachelor thesis focuses on a context of family upbringing style and aggression in children of younger school age. The Fairy Tale Test and The Parental Styles Questionnaire for the children from 8 to 12 years old are used as the methods to assess the context of this issue. The theoretical part aims to define the developmental stage of younger school age underlying notions related to upbringing of a child and its behavior typical for the stage. The last part describes the concept of aggression or aggressivity. Furthermore, its specifics in childhood are presented. The empirical part specifies the possible ways of examinating the issue, mainly through the methods mentioned earlier and proposes alternatives of using the data we have gained. Analysis of understanding words of Czech pupils

Summary: This bachelor's thesis deals with vocabulary of pupils of younger school age, factually of their understanding of the word meanings of these special words. The theoretical part of this thesis intents on vocabulary development of a child in scope of language development from his/her birth till their younger school age and on internal and external factors that influence them during this development. Also an access to vocabulary growth during school teaching and a connection of initial reading literacy are referred. In practical part of this thesis there was analyzed the extent of the understanding of chosen words, the influence of the type of school (the school in the city, town and village) and the extent of the change of the word understanding after putting them into concrete context (it was made in the scope of the concrete sample, at first at the base of the questionnaire result). Then there was found out on the principle of the second part of the research, in what situations pupils meet these unknown words, how they behave when the meet them and whether they are instructed about the meanings of them.
Posibilities of Support for Teaching a Foreign Language to Pupils with Special Educational Needs at Younger School Age

Doctoral thesis titled Posibilities of support for teaching a foreign language to pupils with special educational needs at younger school age responds to the need to change the traditional approach in teaching a foreign language to pupils with specific difficulties. The aim is to map the use of a support program designed to support the curriculum in the English language to pupils with special educational needs of younger school age and on the basis of proven support program of applied within normal normal teaching hours to propose recommendations for practical language teaching. Theoretical bases of the current knowledge about specific learning difficulties young learners. Research is based on analysis of identified problem areas and analyzing pupils' acquired knowledge of the English language among pupils research sample, under which the pupils of the experimental group targeted presented support program, which includes elaborate didactic material aiming to promote the adoption of English curriculum. Analysis of the results of the output test of acquired knowledge pupils of the experimental group was focused on mapping the displacement achieved language skills, analyze the level of motivation and activities of pupils. Diagnostics of school readiness

This thesis deals with diagnosing school readiness at enrollment for compulsory school attendance. The paper defines the terms of school readiness, school maturity, enrollment for compulsory school attendance, school attendance postponement and acceptance of the child younger than six years. Another part describes the enrolment process for compulsory education in primary schools in Českobudějovicko. Three goals have been set: how teachers of selected primary schools in Českobudějovicko diagnose school readiness during enrollment for compulsory school attendance, what is their experience with school start postponement and early school starts (before 6 years), and to see if elementary schools cooperate with kindergartens in enrollment for compulsory school attendance. To achieve the goals was used qualitative research, an interrogation method, semi-structured interview technique. Through interviews with selected teachers coming from nine primary schools these objectives have been met. Elementary schools use different methods for diagnosing school maturity, but in most cases they diagnose the child in the fields recommended by literature. Options of implementation of the project teaching for German language teaching in the first level of elementary school

This Diploma thesis deals with the project teaching and with the options of implementation of this method into second language teaching in the first level of elementary schools. Theoretical part of the thesis focuses on history, characteristics, classification, phases, advantages and disadvantages of the project teaching. In the second part, the thesis is based on a five-hour long project called "Berlin entdecken" created by the author and realized in the fifth year of elementary school with the extended second language teaching specialization. The thesis aims to find out students' attitude towards the project teaching. Also, based on a case study, it tries to find out whether the integration of this teaching method is applicable to teaching process among students with different education expectations. The research draws on both quantitative and qualitative methods (i.e. questionnaire, observation, and structured interview). Based on the carried out research, the thesis find out that the project teaching is an appropriate method for second language teaching in the first level of elementary schools. Motor Skills of Children of Younger School Age

This thesis is devoted to the search of the level of physical abilities of today's younger school-age children in comparison with the results of the 'Children's fitness badge' competition. Data comes from two smaller schools of the Central Bohemian region - Kounice Elementary School, year 1989 and from elementary school Sedlčany, year 2015. The thesis also discusses the differences between results in physically active and inactive pupils, between boys and girls, as well as the ability of today's students to meet the elementary level of the 'Children's fitness badge' points table. I studied these disciplines - the long jump, the 50 meters sprint and the cricket ball throw for my testing. Data were analyzed by using the statistical program SPSS. Level of motor abilities of primary school children dealing with ballroom dancing

The aim of this dissertation is to find out the level of motoric abilities at younger school age children who take part in social dance. I tested the level of motoric abilities using the test battery Unifittest (6 - 60). I compared the level of motoric abilities at younger school age children who take part in social dance and at younger school age children who only attend PE lessons. I tried to find out the change of the level in motoric abilities at the two above mentioned groups. I also tried to discover the type and frequency of other sport activities which children regularly do in their free time. Empirically focused part of my thesis substantiate that children of the younger school age, who take part in social dance, achieved a bigger improvement of fitness and coordinative motoric abilities. The biggest improvement was in the test of flexibility. On the basis of the questionnaire survey I found out, that children of the younger school age who do not take part in social dance, very often devote to football in their leisure.
