Contemporary Preschool Children's Knowledge and Preferences of Fairy Tales

This bachelor's thesis deals with fairy tales in relation to contemporary children of pre-school age and their knowledge and preferences of these fairy tales. My ambition is to point out what is the meaning and value of fairy tales for children as well as the importance and benefits of children's fairy tales knowledge and preference investigation. In my opinion, it is necessary to find out how children are currently doing in the field of fairy tales to let it contribute to their development. The theoretical section of this thesis is dedicated to characteristics of the preschool children in relation to the topic of this thesis as well as to the factors influencing children's reading which include family, kindergarten teachers, reading-stimulating environment and libraries. Also there is a part dedicated to literature characteristics for children as well as generations raising today's children and their relationship to children's literature. It can also affect children's relationship to literature. The next important area in the section is the fairy tale itself, its characteristics, types and fairy tale characters as well as the role of the fairy tale in kindergarten and what interaction options it brings. A fairy tale as means to preschool child development

The bachelor thesis is focused on working with an authored fairy tale with preschool children in a kindergarten environment. The theoretical part contains three basic chapters. The first chapter introduces the characteristics, historical development and basic classification of fairy tales. It summarizes the function of fairy tales in preschool education and discusses the language style of fairy tales. The second chapter is focused on the fairy tale as a tool in preschool education. The third chapter deals with the analysis of the Preschool education curriculum framework (PECF) and the learning domains. The practical part deals with the implementation of philosophical discussion, creative writing and artistic elaboration of the authored fairy tale. Furthermore, it deals with the research investigation of the influence of a fairy tale story on a group of children in kindergarten.

The master thesis ,,The czech authorial fairy tale in the thirties of the twentieth century and her actual situation as inspirational source for making an authorial book´´ consist of two parts theoretical and practical. The theoretical part is about history of the authorial fairy tale, fairy tale charasterictics, form and progress. The work is mainly about the authorial fairy tale chiefly in the Czech Republic, it is from the thirties of the twentieth century until now. The practical part is about the authorial book inspired production of the writer and the illustrator Petr Sís. This autor is the main inspirational source for making the authorial book and text and illustration.

Interpretation of fairy tales authored by Josef Štefan Kubín Ondřej Vojtíšek Abstract: This bachelor's thesis deals with interpretation of Josef Štefan Kubín's author fairy tales both in theory and application. Its goal is to describe options of interpretation of children's literature and to demonstrate these options by means of Kubín's literal work. As a result, this bachelor's thesis also highlights semantics riches and valuable qualities of this part of Kubín's work, which is being neglected by publishers nowadays. In its theoretical part, the thesis addresses several issues: different ways of interpretation of fairy tales, specification of the term "author fairy tale" and the different forms of Kubín's fairy tales. As a method of interpretation, synthesis of several approaches (Franz, Šmahelová, Urbanová, and others) was used and each of these approaches was described by one example. This synthesis provides insight into the meaning of fairy tales that can be therefore understood as representation of situations outlined not only with help of motives but with help of specific expressions as well. Support and the development of pre-reading literacy by way of modern authorial fairy tales

The thesis is devoted to the promotion and development of reading pre-literacy in kindergarten through modern authorial fairy tales. The theoretical part is focused on the development of preschool age children in various aspects related to the development of reading and language skills - in terms of psychology, early childhood education and Framework educational program for preschool education. With respect to the theme of the thesis is part of the theory also definitions of reading literacy and reading pre-literacy and its content in the context of selected procedures for development of reading in kindergarten. There are also itemized some of the methods RWCT (Reading and Writing for Critical Thinking), which are used in order to develop literacy skills. Theoretically, they are also gripped the literary and drama education in kindergarten, the specifics of the modern fairy tale and the role of projective methods in kindergarten. Czech Fairy Tale in the 21st Century

Bachelor thesis will focus on the latest form of Czech authorial fairy tales. Selected works are placed on the top of the popularity charts and sales in the Czech book market. The purpose of the work is to analyse those works, that have a social impact and forms a contemporary flair. The visual part of the works will be also analyzed, and the further attention will be paid to the diverse forms of media, which the contemporary tale uses.

The bachelor's thesis "The role of an author's fairy tale in the development of musical skills and personality of a preschooler" deals with the author's fairy tale for preschoolers the typical feature of which are based on the development of musical skills and of personality in the child's education. The work on this thesis also involved a qualitative research where ideas of musical trans-didactics were applied. The research was targeted at one experimental group. The thesis was written with respect to pedagogical adequacy, aesthetic expression and ethical principles in education. Authorial fairy tales by the brothers Čapek

The thesis deals with authorial fairy tales by the Čapek brothers. The first part focuses on theoretical characteristics of fairy tale regarding its genre development and typological distinction. It describes the features and historical development of authorial fairy tale as of a special type of fairy tale. It also indicates the significance of Karel and Josef Čapek's fairy tale work in the context of the first great expansion of Czech authorial fairy tale in the 1920s, and it introduces other fields in which the brothers collaborated. The following part points out "modern" features in fairy tales by applying analysis and interpretation on the collections Povídání o pejskovi a kočičce and Devatero pohádek. This bachelor thesis aims to support the theoretical characteristics of the authorial fairy tale genre by highlighting the reflections of the modern world in the Čapek brothers' fairy tales, such as contemporary realities and lifestyle, and autobiographical features. Author fairy tale at the begining of the twenties of the 20th century

The present thesis aims at describing the genre of literary fairytales. The study is mainly concerned with the 1920', the decade of the upswing of the genre. The classification of Hana Šmahelová and Vera Vařejková was chosen as the default material for the classification of the literary fairytales. The literary fairytale is thus regarded as a special kind of story with fairytale elements. In order to accurately capture the characteristic elements of the literary fairytale, the theoretical part of the thesis was enriched by an interpretation of chosen texts, which substantially influenced the entire development of the genre. Namely, the thesis is based on the comparison of the social fairytale (J. Wolker, M. Majerová), the fairytale carrying the theme of war (R. Medek) and finally, literary fairytales, which are to be found in the three collections Nůše pohádek (1918, 1919, 1920).
