Burian, Oskar ; Ehler, Edvard (advisor) ; Vančata, Václav (referee)
Objectives: To find basic information and the concept of interdisciplinary teaching and its possible inclusion in lessons. Describe selected activation methods in teaching in general and in teaching human biology. To analyze selected frequently used textbooks for pupils of the 2nd grade of elementary school, containing the topic of the muscular system as a suitable topic for the interdisciplinary connection of biology and physical education in the context of the frequency of impulses for the implementation of physical activities and containing the interdisciplinary connection of the above mentioned subjects. Design and implement the teaching of the muscular system with activation methods and cross-curricular elements and find out what the students' attitude towards it is. Using a knowledge test, compare pupils who have completed activation and interdisciplinary teaching with pupils who have undergone frontal theoretical teaching of the same topic. Methods: Two methods were used for the research investigation. An online questionnaire regarding the attitude of students, created in Google forms, allowing students to comment on the lessons with closed and open questions, with a guarantee of anonymity. The second method of research is a knowledge test, created for the purpose of the thesis, which was...
Use of an Online Escape Game in the Teaching of Biology at Lower Secondary School
Vopatová, Eliška ; Svobodová, Silvie (advisor) ; Teodoridis, Vasilis (referee)
The diploma thesis deals with the creation and use of educational online escape games in the teaching of biology at the lower secondary school. As part of this thesis, an original online escape game dedicated to the curriculum about carnivoras called Escape from the carnivoras pavilion was created. Based on the theoretical presentation of the activation methods of teaching, the escape game is defined as a unique teaching method. Creation of this game is based on the principles of escape rooms as well as the specifics of educational escape games. Accompanying materials were also created in order to use the Escape from the carnivoras pavilion escape game as a comprehensive learning tool. These materials were a worksheet and a questionnaire for self-assessment of pupils. Together with the game, these were included in the teaching block in two seventh grades of lower secondary school. Its implementation provided space for an overall evaluation of the escape game based on the observation of the pupils' activity and their feedback. Testing the created online escape game in my own teaching proved its functionality from a technical point of view and didactic potential despite minor flaws in the game structure. Subsequent research among 110 teachers outlined the possibilities of further use of the designed...
Reproductive system in Human biology lessons at secondary school
NAVRÁTILOVÁ, Adéla
This diploma thesis deals with the topic of teaching the human reproductive system at secondary schools both in the Czech Republic and in selected German federal states, Bavaria and Saxony. The aim was first to discover the differences in teaching the reproductive system among the chosen countries and secondly to create own teaching units regarding this topic and utilize them in classes. The differences between Czech, Saxon, and Bavarian types of teaching were supported by curricular documents and a questionnaire distributed among teachers from selected countries. Czech curricular documents outline the teaching of the reproductive system more briefly compared to the German ones. The questionnaire provided specific information incorporating the methods used in teaching. Furthermore, this diploma thesis contains two fully designed teaching units, including both materials for students and methodological instructions for teachers. The practical implementation of the proposed teaching units is evaluated at the very end of this thesis.

Vítová, Lucie ; Zemková, Jaroslava (advisor) ; Valešová Malecová, Barbara (referee)
The diploma thesis "Creativity of teachers in an educational process in primary school" focuses on creativity of teachers, which is a prerequisite of every teacher in current education. The thesis is divided into two parts; theoretical and practical. The theoretical part focuses on general knowledge, which appertains to the questions of creativity in the work of the pedagogues. In this part, the important factors are also described, which help to lead to the creative approach in the teaching. One of these factors is using activating methods. These represent the main approaches of the pedagogues to teach creatively. The theoretical part is also focused on the position of the teachers in the process of school inclusion and on the appropriate teaching methods and strategies for inclusive education. The practical part focuses on activating methods in teaching. The investigative survey was carried out via questionnaire, and its main objective was to explore the extent of using activating methods by teachers at basic schools. It also looks at whether these methods are considered to be an appropriate instrument to the creative and effective mediation of the curriculum for all pupils, including pupils with special education needs. Activating methods in education of topic carbohydrates
Kyzlíková, Iva ; Vojíř, Karel (advisor) ; Bílek, Martin (referee)
Activation methods in teaching are nowadays often discussed complementary teaching to classical teaching. Within these methods, emphasis is placed on activating the student, ie on encouraging his interest in the implementation of the activity, but at the same time there is an advantageous opportunity for teachers to influence and specify specific goals to meet the requirements of FEP and SEP. One of the aims of the work was to map the issue of activation methods with a focus on project teaching and research-oriented teaching and to compile a selection of topics for activities that use activation methods with a focus on the topic of carbohydrates in the form of research. Another goal of this work was to design a teaching activity using activation methods on the topic of carbohydrates (a topic in organic chemistry, which is relatively more demanding for students, but no less important) and to verify this activity in a pilot. The design of the activation method with aspects of the project teaching "Getting acquainted with carbohydrates" was actually verified in the 9th grade of Vilémov Elementary School in 2021, within the subject Chemistry. Pupils worked on the activity in groups and the result was five solutions of the activity (projects), of which there were four presentations and one poster....
Teaching methods for hand hygiene
Hájková, Iveta ; Kordulová, Pavla (advisor) ; Kulířová, Veronika (referee)
Introduction to the issue and the importance of the topic: The subject of this diploma thesis is to focus on issues related to teaching methods for the practice of hand hygiene in health care professionals in medical facilities. The issue of increasing efficiency in education is today an increasingly relevant topic supporting the activity of every person. In medical facilities, we encounter a problem with employee motivation, mutual interaction and communication when practicing new nursing procedures (hand hygiene), (Cullen, 2017). Unfortunately, most lecturers still teach only traditional teaching methods and use activating methods minimally or not at all (Sitná et al., 2009). Such a stereotype in the teaching process often provides only mechanical reproduction of the learned content. There is no consideration of understanding and practical interconnection, which is often boring and cumbersome for employees (Duran et al., 2017). The lecturer should pass on theoretical knowledge and practical skills to the given employees and thus develop their attitudes necessary for the performance of their profession (Vengl, 2011). Although much attention is paid to education in the literature, the methods used are often briefly characterized and listed by the authors. The primary focus of this work is on...
