Children's Songs in the context of the curriculum regarding Czech grammar-specific words

The topic of the thesis is the search for functional intercurricular links in the teaching of first grade students. Specifically, it deals with the use of the didactic potential of song in the teaching of Czech language in the context of learning grammar specific words. The theoretical part will outline the history of the folk song as a specific typological category of music in the context of artificial and non-artificial music, while focusing on the Czech songs with didactic overlap. Based on the authors experience and the literature researched for this thesis, the author will define the basic principles of song creation suitable for the didactic use at the first stage of primary school and describe the most effective ways of children's interpretation of the song and their possible pitfalls. The practical part of the thesis will offer a set of author's lyrics and recordings of simple and memorable songs processing the curriculum of the grammar specific words, and will also measure the functionality of the listed songs in a primary school class survey. The English Language as an Activating Element in the Teaching of Music Education at Secondary Schools

The bachelor thesis is concerned with the utilisation of the English language as an activating element in the teaching of music education at secondary schools. It analyses the relationship between music and language and provides a theoretical explanation and characterisation of teaching and activating methods. The thesis also examines the Framework Educational Programme for Basic Education and explores possibilities for interdisciplinary connections between music education and the English language. Based on theoretical knowledge, the thesis proposes specific possibilities of application of the English language into music education. Musical skills advancement on behalf of younger children within musical classes

The diploma thesis deals with the specifics of musical development of younger children and didactic application of musical activities within the music education club. A child of younger age is defined as a child aged from 5 to 8 years. The aim of this thesis is to offer a theme for pedagogical practice, to summarize and verify selected conditions for quality music teaching. The theoretical part summarizes the current knowledge about the psychological and musical development of young children. The focus in musical development is on preschool and younger school age. It also summarises knowledge about musical skills and musical activities, i.e. singing, listening, instrumental and musical movement. This section concludes with a list of selected methodological materials for music teachers. Nine sample scenarios for music teaching are presented, which contain various activity themes and teaching materials for music club work. The scenarios are based on the author's own teaching practice. In the practical part of the thesis the proposed ideas and materials are tested in practice. Music and movement education with a focus on dance elements in music education classes at the first stage of primary schools

The thesis deals with the topic of musical movement education when mainly focuses on the use of dance movement elements at music classes at primary stage of elementary school. The thesis aims to summarize whole spectrum of dance movement elements, evaluate their importance for the development of children's musicality and determinate current state of use of dance movement elements at music classes for third to fifth grade of elementary school. Further the thesis evaluates this current state of use of dance movement elements at music classes. The theoretical part of the thesis is dedicated to a progress of musical movement education and dance. It shows potential of use of musical movement education and application of dance movement elements during music classes at primary stage of elementary school. This part also describes a main characteristic of school-aged child and contains a survey of pedagogical literature and literature related to dance education. Music and dance afterschool program with elements of clogging for primary school pupils

The diploma thesis focuses on a design of an annual teaching plan for a musical and dancing afterschool program for elementary school students. The aim of the thesis is to present a dance style called "clogging" (American country step) and to present a methodology for teaching its basics, in which emphasis will be placed not only on getting acquainted with elements of this style, but also on the musical development of pupils. The diploma thesis was intended as a possible inspiration for the leaders of dance clubs who aim to teache their pupils not only to dance but to perceive the music sensibly and to work with it as well. It also coul serve as an inspiration for music teachers who would like to make their classes special or devote themselves to leading a musical and dancing afterschool program with an unusual focus. The theoretical part presents the development of children of younger school age, music and movement education and familiarization with the history and basics of clogging technique. The practical part presents the teaching plan of the musical and dancing afterschool program, which consists of a description of eighteen lessons that contain an offer of music and movement activities for one term and include the use of clogging elements.

This diploma thesis is focused on the didactic use of the TV programme Hodina zpěvu authored by Zdeněk Svěrák and Jaroslav Uhlíř. The first part of the thesis deals with the programme itself, a brief description of individual episodes and with its authors, whereas in the second part worksheets and other materials suitable for both face-to-face and distance learning are presented. The particular episodes of the programme are chosen based on the availability on the Česká televize website. The didactic materials focus on the development of vocal, instrumental, musical-motoric and listening activities.
