School maturity of boys and girl in kindergarten

The bachelor thesis focuses on the level of school maturity of girls and boys and their readiness to enter the primary school from the point of view of a kindergarten teacher. It aimed to conduct diagnostics on selected children and monitor the results concerning their gender. This thesis is devided into two parts - theoretical and practical. The theoretical part deals with preschool children's development and the criteria according to which school maturity is assessed. Methods of structured observation and analysis of diagnostic tests were used in the practical part to collect data. The examined sample of children was divided into two groups according to gender. The school maturity tests which were analysed in this work are described and evaluated individually.
School maturity and preparedness from the point of view of speech therapists

This diploma thesis focuses on school maturity and preparedness from the perspective of speech-language therapists. The theoretical part focuses on the preschool child, his characteristics, and growth in all areas, including speech. Furthermore, it introduces speech disorders in preschool children by describing what impaired communication skills are and also discusses the most common speech disorders among preschool children. The thesis also presents information about speech therapy prevention, stating what its principles are, and also introduces preschool education in the context of speech therapy prevention. The last chapter deals with the child's preparation for entering the first grade, explains the difference between school maturity and school preparedness and introduces school immaturity and school deferrals. The practical part is prepared with the help of a qualitative research investigation, where a structured interview with open questions was used. The respondents consisted of speech therapists working in the health or education department. A total of 12 interviews were conducted. The role of the school psychologist in Kindergarten Bc. Kateřina Denysjuková 2022 ABSTRACT This paper will focus on the role of the school psychologist in the Czech state kindergarten environment. The thesis is a pioneer in this field, as it is a new and under-reported topic in the literature. The theoretical part will focus mainly on the summary of the job description and the role of the school psychologist as such, on the legislative positions enabling this new trend, on the possibilities and image of psychological counselling for preschool children and its comparison with the abilities of the school psychologist. It will also focus on the presumed reasons for the intervention of the school psychologist in kindergartens in terms of common difficulties of preschool children. The empirical part will summarize the image of the work of the school psychologist in the preschool. School maturity and preparedness of a child for the 1 st grade from the point of view of speech

The thesis focuses on the issue of school maturity and school readiness from the point of view of speech therapy such as its diagnosis and individual abilities that are needed for entering first classes of a primary school. The theoretical part deals with the characteristics of the preschool stage, school maturity and school readiness, registering for first class, the postponement of the school attendance, and communication disabilities of preschoolers. The aim of the empirical part of the thesis is to find out the standard of the school maturity and school readiness of children in an ordinary group as well as in a group with speech therapy of the same nursery. Tests are going to be used to find out the school maturity and school readiness such as Preliminary Test of School Maturity - verbal thinking, Test of Auditory Distinction - WM, Kwint Psychomotor Examination, and Examination of Language Skills for Preschoolers. Furthermore, the obtained data will be analysed and compared. The data collection will take place in Nursery School Zelenka in Turnov. Development of graphomotor skills in preschool children

- anglicky Title: Development of graphomotorics in pre-school children The present diploma thesis is focused on the topic of development of graphomotorics in pre- school children. The theoretical part deals with the description of children in pre-school age and everything related to this stage of life: the curricular documents, the concept of school preparedness and readiness as well as its diagnostics. The second half of the theoretical part describes the area of graphomotoric skills - its development and stages it undergoes, children drawings and its development and finally an overview of possible roadblocks and dysfunctions in graphomotorics. The empirical presents the result of research conducted via questionnaire for parents of pre-school children. Its aim was to uncover how well the parents are informed about and how much they are interested in the development of graphomotorics of their pre- school children. Preparation of a preschool child for the entrance to elementary school

This dissertation adresses the issue of preparation and readiness of a preschool child before his/her entrance to elementary school. The theoretical part is divided into four chapters. The first chapter is concerned with the definitions of basic terms, such as school maturity and school readiness. The second chapter is dedicated to developmental psychology of a preschool child. The third chapter is concerned with diagnosis of a preschool child from the position preschool education, and the last chapter is centered on a child at risk in elementary school. The practical part is dedicated to qualitative experimental investigation which obser- ves the advancement of teak parts in selected sample of children from normal and spe- cial class of kindergarten school and it is supported by an intervention program.
Creative Expression of Preschool Age Children and its Meaning in Educational Process

This bachelor work called "Art expression of preschool child and its importance in educational process" focuses on use of child's art expression in educational work of teacher. It addresses phenomenon called child's art expression and its use in everyday educational process of children. It describes child's development in general with emphasis on ontogeny of child's drawing, catches specific characters of drawing and its importance in interpretation of art expression and in diagnostic use especially for teacher's work. This work focuses also on importance of drawing in school readiness assessment. The bachelor work has a theoretical character and aims to structure existing knowledge of child's art expression to show current teachers the way of better understanding child through his/her art expression.
