Jaroslav Herden as a Music Educator

The thesis introduces one of the most important personalities of the Czech musical education of the last century - professor Jaroslav Herden. Its aim is to present the wide range of the pedagogical activities he practiced. The thesis consists of six main chapters that describe Herden's life with the focus on his musical activities, education and professional growth. Furthermore, the chapters analyse Herden's work at the Faculty of Education at Charles University in Prague and his publication and radio broadcasting activities. This work also mentions the Summer School of Music which was founded by Herden. The last part of the thesis focuses on the heritage of this extraordinary personage. The Role of Educator in Freire's Work

This thesis focuses on defining the role of educators in the work of Paulo Freire. The work examines Freire idea that education can not be a one-sided transfer of knowledge, but it must be an act of consciousness and the ability to take control over their own lives. It also focuses on explaining Freire literacy methods, trying to interpret the ideas of the book Pedagogy of the oppressed and Freire developed an original method of dialogue. The author's approach is compared with selected views of Western thinkers that express the purpose of education (eg. critical theory of society and pragmatism). The work is accompanied by a list of institutes that develop the work of Freire.
Teacher assistant competences

Thesis "Teacher assistant competences" responds to growing number of teacher assistants in educational system and reflects still remaining ambiguities in delineating requirements on assistants' services and activities. The objective of thesis is on the basis of empirical findings define the basic competences of teacher assistant working in a regular basic school. In its theoretical part thesis works with legislative norms specifying the role of teacher assistant and with findings of relevant researches. The explorative part of thesis is based on qualitatively orientated methodology and processes data from eighty interviews realized with assistants, teachers, principals and pupils with special educational needs from twenty basic mainstream schools. Data in research were processed by classification, coding and schematization with using the form of framework analysis. The Concept of Educator's Role in American Pragmatist Philosophy and Theory of Education

The purpose of this thesis is to analyze and comment general and exercisable findings of the pragmatist approach to education about educator's role. First, the most important ideas of the pragmatist philosophers are summarized. Next, the approach of pragmatism to education is introduced, and an analysis of the pragmatist thoughts regarding educator's role follows. The thesis has found certain similarity between the concept of school teacher's role and that of adult educator in works of Dewey, Lindeman, and Mezirow. The features, that agree or correspond to each other in these concepts, and conversly those that differ, were described. The main ambition of the thesis is, that it identifies important ideas for educator's role and work, and puts them in context. Leisure and reereational activities for children's in an orphanage Ledce

This bachelor thesis addresses the topic of leisure time and leisure activities of children living in the Children's Home in Ledce. The theoretical part of the thesis concentrates on the function and definition of free time and main principles of free-time education. It also includes a chapter on protective and institutional education and its characteristics. Introducing the history and characteristics of the children's home itself, the practical part also concentrates on the lives of the children living in it, the work of the educators, and it also presents a summary of how free time and leisure activities are handled by the children. Research findings that aim to make a survey on children's satisfaction with leisure opportunities and the portfolio of special interest classes represent the main part of the last chapter. The goal here is to either disprove or confirm the hypothesis set out.
Coach Philosophy as a backround of Educaton Approach to Youth

Method: In our work we used a method of questioning through the webform. Results: Our results prooved, that the educational problems are very urgent even in the area of education. The football coaches consider the education affect for their work as fundamental. There is a certain paradox that in spite of the fact that a coach feels himself ready for the work as the teacher, at the same time he admits, that certain knowledge for his pedagogic mission he does have and the main help for his praxi is his own experience. TITLE: Personality educators and the possibility of development AUTHOR: Štěpán Bartoška DEPARTMENT: Institute for Professional Development, Faculty of Education SUPERVISOR: PhDr. Richard Braun, Ph.D. ABSTRACT: The aim of this work is to find answers to questions such as why the educator focus on the development of his personality, what personality development is this and what this development can help. Based on the objectives and theoretical points we can conclude that the educator should focus on the development of his personality from a number of mutually influencing reasons. Ideal personality development educator can be seen in a comprehensive and uniform development of the sub-components of his personality and finding harmony between the layers of personality. Thanks to this development the educator becomes more harmonious and holistic personality is subjectively happier and happier, which positively influences including its Inter-relationships, also set qualitative shift in his performance tutoring profession. Educator allows the natural positive impact on their surroundings and charges, which leads to the progressive development of the whole society. Finally, it has a positive impact on mental and physical health educator himself and acts preventively against possible burnout. The educator can develop...
