Gierlinger, Simon ; Vymětal, Petr (advisor) ; Lisa, Aleš (referee)
Since 2015 massive migration movements into the European Union, mainly towards Germany have occurred, causing the so-called European migration crisis. This thesis aims to identify the political and economic consequences of this crisis for Germany. It focuses on the questions of what the political consequences on a national and international level are, what the economic consequences in terms of fiscal impact and labor market implications are, and which recommendations can be given to policy makers. As a fundamental theoretical understanding of migration is necessary to formulate a profound policy recommendation, existing political and economic theories of migration are described in the first chapter. For the identification of the political and economic consequences a thorough understanding of the European migration crisis is a prerequisite, which is why an overview of the context of the crisis is given in the second chapter. The question of the political consequences on the national and international level is answered in the third chapter. The fourth chapter provides the answer to the question of the economic consequences in terms of fiscal impact and labor market implications. The thesis relies on the analysis of several studies, official documents, reports and reliable news articles. It concludes with a policy recommendation which is consistent with the gained insights.

Štěpánek, Matěj ; Kofroň, Jan (advisor) ; Romancov, Michael (referee)
Future development of the Russian Federation is one of the main topics of international relations and geopolitics. Development trajectory of such an important geostrategic actor affects dynamics of international system. Today, because of its structural problems, the "Russian Bear" is situated over the imaginary abyss. The main goal of this thesis is therefore to predict Russia's future development by key drivers from demographic and economic theories. An important part of the text is a specification of broad implications of this development for the future of the European Union and international system. The first chapter of the thesis is to introduce principles for building scenarios to a reader. Theoretical chapters number two and three describe the influence of specific key drivers upon the country's development. Chapter number four defines the contemporary stage of Russia and also reveals its current structural problems. Key chapter, the fifth one, offers six possible scenarios of Russia's future development. Final implications in the sixth chapter propose that negative development of Russia can lead to desintegration of the EU, while positive development makes international system less secure.

Hlavsa, Tomáš ; Horák, Petr (referee) ; Chlup, Jan (referee) ; Meixner, Miloslav (advisor)
Creating the concept of buildings is the primary task of architects, designers in the field of architecture and engineering. Although the basic requirements remain the same across time , possibilities of their solution are constantly evolving and changing. In addition, with the increasing globalization, in context of the housing and the architecture is expected new requirements go beyond the horizons of the interests of bouth investor and designer. Global view of each project and the evaluation of its traces left in our environment and society, although is much discussed but rarely taken into account or even just considered. In this context, we are witnessing the development of new trends of the concepts of buildings, consisting in the use of natural materials, in reducing the environmental burden of a surroundings, in reducing energy demands, or even in an effort to achieve energy independence thus trends, whose common denominator is sustainable construction, hence sustainable development in general. Feasibility of the creation of the concept of energy self-sufficient building doesn´t consist only in the precise solution of the assigned task from the perspective of the designer or investor, but also in finding such a solution which, even with using new trends and principles, will not go against the initial idea itself. The present instrument processed and presented in this dissertation has the ambition to move global view of the project into the perspective of a particular individual design process and in small way contribute to the creation of better projects from the perspective of sustainable development The term of energy self-sufficient buildings are not clearly defined. To work with them it was necessary to determine their basic definition that describes their diverse conceptual variations and allows precisely define the solution area. To correctly select the optimal solution in terms of sustainable development is necessary the assessment and mutual comparison since the beginning. As a basic tool for this assessment was used and partially modified SBTool, which is built on three basic pillars of sustainable development - SOCIAL - ENVIRONMENTAL - ECONOMIC. SBTool tries to determine the degree of left traces of the approach from the perspectives of these three aspects and evaluate the effectiveness of the selected solution. This tool allow to compare the different concepts for the same project among themselves, their parts but also various projects among each other. All of course with regard to the development of various aspects in the time.
Inherent instability of financial markets
Hladík, Jan ; Buben, Radek (advisor) ; Znoj, Milan (referee)
The main aim of this presented diploma thesis is to help build a systematic understanding of the political and social foundations of global financial markets, their operations and impacts on the global power affairs. The thesis highlights the dynamic complexity of the post financial crisis state of the World with its itra- and inter-social features. It instrumentaly uses critique of a free market agenda and neo-classical economy which contrasts the Efficient Markets Hypothesis with Hyman Minsky's Financial Instability Hypothesis (FIH), taking into account the dynamic complexity of financial markets. This approach offers analytical tools that can account for crisis through processes endogenous to contemporary financial capitalism. I shall argue that a financially complex system is, according to the FIH, inherently flawed and unstable. After a theoretical and historical review, the thesis discusses various aspects of the process of austerity regime and its social consequences. This provides an opportunity for analyses of the ongoing existence of interstate competition, of militarised foreign policy, and of other international, at times violent conflicts. In an effort to make sense of some of these phenomena, I instrumentaly use the study of geoeconomics that builds on some fundamental assumptions...
