Helena Kafková ABSTRACT The target of the thesis is to present cold weapons not just as means of hunt, everyday use, but also as an attribute of the worrior art and to present reasons and changes, that lead to continual retirement of cold weapons to marginal possition. I study relevant concepts and sketch various dimensions that a weapon has under the changing circumstances. The thematic part of the work is devoted to cold weapons of the period of Habsburc monarchy. I present, in six chapters, basic patterns of use and kinds of cold weapons, described chronologically in concord with their history. I also study the period of the First Czechoslovak Republic. The major contribution of the thesis is acquiring basic knowledge from history, technical development and also the reasons of various changes and presentation of the weapon as artifact of its individual value. I also offer a picture of history and its sense and accompany it with cold weapons understood as a means of expressing important social concepts. Key words: War, weapon, mobilization, work

Title: The relationship between the occurrence of a trigger point in the soleus muscle and the functional impairment of the SI joint and the possibility of their mutual influence. Objectives/Aims: The aim is to write a summarization of facts based on a literature research on the complex problem of the trigger point phenomenon with a regard to their etiology and work out a pilot study to verify the relationship between the TrP and stiffness in soleus muscle and the functional impairment of the SI joint in terms of reduced joint play in the ipsilateral lower extremity. The experiment, based on objective results, is to answer the fundamental questions of whether patients with functional impairment of the SI joint leads to the formation of a TrP in the soleus muscle on the ipsilateral limb, whether the eventual dry needle therapy of a TrP in the soleus muscle will remove the malfunction of the ipsilateral SI joint, and vice versa, whether if by restoring joint play in the SI joint by mobilization therapy will have an effect on the muscle tone of the ipsilateral soleus muscle and remove the TRP. Politicizing Sexualities: Mobilization practices and networking within the LGBTQ movement in contemporary Madrid

This ethnographic study intends to explain the recent mobilization practices within the LGBTQ movement in contemporary Madrid in reference to the strategic use of identity and networking in collective action. It describes the Spanish movement as an ideologically polarized heterogeneous aggregate. The active challenging groups criticize the dominant part of the movement for giving up its original message of sexual liberation and diluting it in consumerism by supporting capitalist tendencies and the power of leading political parties. Via launching protest campaigns and collaborating in internationally supported networks with other ideologically related social movement communities, the challenging groups demand civil rights for all people, regardless of their sexual orientation or identity. They mobilize upon the collective identity of "precariousness" while integrating elements of queer and transgender theory into their radical leftist oriented politics in order to transform the Spanish society. By bringing on new critical ideas and adherents, the success of the leftist oriented challenging groups has an impact on the direction of the politics of the dominant group, which thereby is forced to adopt such ideas into their politics. Assessing the influence of constitutional hypermobility on postural stability

The thesis "Judging the influence of constitutional hypermobility on postural stability" focuses on the problem of constitutional hypermobility (CH) and the influence of joint instability on stability mechanisms. The aim of the research was to find out whether there is a difference in stability mechanisms with tested subjects with CH and without it. Furthermore, the research focuses on the influence of mobility techniques on postural stability by the means of chosen tests carried out on Balance Master® System platform. The tested sample includes 14 women aged from 20 to 28, 7 women with constitutional hypermobility and 7 women as a control group. 6 tests were chosen for the measurement on Balance Master® platform. 2 static tests: modified Clinical Test of Sensory Interaction on Balance (mCTSIB), Unilateral Stance (US), and 4 dynamic tests: Limits of Stability (LOS), Rhytmic weight shift (RWS), Step Up Over (SUO) a Forward Lunge (FL). We compared the medians of output values of individual tests. It was assumed that subjects with KH would have significantly worse test results than the control group. Furthermore, it was supposed that the mobilization processes cause stability disturbance on the basis of cancellation of compensational , thus protective block in comparison with KS. Freedom or safety on the internet? Framing analysis of two social movements.

The aim of this bachelor's thesis is to describe the mobilization processes of two social movements that arise in response to the current state of the Czech cyberspace. The theoretical part of the work presents the conceptualization of the mobilization processes of social movements. It also builds on the definition of the social movement from the Italian sociologist Mario Diani (1992). Finally, it presents key framing tasks based on framing theory from David A. Snow and Robert D. Benford et al. The methodological part of the work presents an introduction to the research method which is a qualitative content analysis of media documents produced by the movements. Problematics of musculosceletal dysfunction and chains

This diploma thesis deals with functional disorders of the musculoskeletal system. It discusses the possible causing factors of these disorders, their manifestations on the body, diagnostics and the possibilities of influencing them. Since this is a very common phenomenon on the human body, I chose mainly the muscle, fascia and joint structure, which I explored and described in more depth. The experimental part of this work aims to demonstrate the possible impact of the intervention of the 1.-3. ribs and claviculosternal joint as described by Ludmila Mojžíšová on the muscles of the neck (m. scalenus anterior, medius and sternocleidomastoideus). To obtain results, I used the ultrasound examination of the diameter of these muscles and Visual analogue scale (VAS) to obtain pain values before and after the intervention using this method. Title: The effect of chosen manual techniques on static and dynamic postural stability in physiotherapy students. Aims: The main aim of this study is to assess the effect of chosen manual techniques on participants' static and dynamic postural stability. Summary: The study was done from May to December 2019. A total of 100 subjects aged 19-38years took part in the study. Participants were randomly divided into two groups - experimental and control. Postural stability was measured by the following tests: Star Excursion Balance test, Unipedal Stance test, Timed Up and Go test and Sit to Stand test. These standardised measurements were taken before intervention, after intervention and a week from intervention. Experimental group undertook the intervention by manual techniques, which took 20 minutes. Outcomes were written into recording sheets. Final data were processed using Microsoft Excel 2013, IBM SPSS Statistics V26 and TIBCO Statistica 13.3.0. To calculate differences, the following statistical methods were used: Shapiro-Wilk test, independent T-test and Mann-Whitney U test. To measure effect size, Cohen's d was used. Mobilization of the Austro-Hungarian Army during the Great War in the Czech Lands

During the entire Great War, Austria-Hungary mobilized more than one and a half million men in the Czech lands. Out of service in the Austro-Hungarian army, a third never returned home. Czechs and Germans - the greatest nations represented in the Czech lands of the time - fought and suffered side by side on the Great War fronts. Yet only part of them were honoured at the end of the war. The newly created Czechoslovakia built its existence on a new, legitimate image of the Great War, as a struggle for the freedom and independence of the Czechs, represented by Czechoslovak legionaries. In addition, the grief of the bleeding of an entire generation of men was obscured by the joy of the disintegration of Austria-Hungary and the newly formed Czechoslovak state. The fate and suffering of most Czechs and Germans serving in the Austro-Hungarian army, in the army of their homeland, have been downplayed by the depiction of these soldiers as "Švejkové" or deserters. Return to life after an PICS, based on acute respiratory failure

Introduction: Thanks to the progress of the today's medicine, in particular its therapeutic possibilities, the number of patients overcoming critical acute respiratory failure has increased, resulting in their exposure to stress and impact of intensive care. Thus, we can say that almost every patient suffers from at least one sign of post-intensive care syndrome. The theoretic part of the Diploma Thesis deals with acute respiratory failure and PICS. Materials used to prepare this work were obtained from a research made by the National Medical Library and from sources found in expert databases (PupMed, ResearchGate, ScienceDirect etc.). Aim of the work: The aim of this work is to examine and evaluate the physical and mental state of patients after overcoming the acute respiratory failure and their return to normal life with post-intensive care syndrome. We've divided this main goal into several partial objectives with the main research questions if the signs of PICS can be impacted by the length of artificial ventilation. Greek Civil War: Greek Immigrants from Anatolia and Their Involvement in the Communist Insurgency (1946-1949)

This Master's thesis deals with the individual's motivations for participation in the Communist insurgency during the Greek Civil War of 1946-1949. More specifically, the thesis aims to analyse the motivations of those who joined the Communist guerrillas and at the same time originated from the population which came as Greek Christian refugees in 1920s to Macedonia, Northern Greece. The Master's thesis introduces several theoretical concepts which try to explain individual's motivations for mobilization in insurgency generally, including the "grievance versus greed" theory, the social networks and collective identity approach as well as coercion approach. The theories are then applied to the empirical case of Greek-speaking Pontic refugees from Anatolia and their participation in the Greek Civil War. The thesis introduces the background and experiences of the researched ethnic group throughout the interwar period up until the Greek Civil War. The analysis of the particular incentives which were behind the Greek refugee's participation is supported by the qualitative research in the form of interviews with 21 witnesses, who fall into the researched group of families who originate from the Pontos region in Anatolia and have family experience of mobilization in Communist Insurgency of 1946 to 1949.
