Knowledge of rowing between students of Faculty of Physical Education and Sport, Charles University and Faculty of Physical Culture Palacký University Olomouc

Title: Knowledge of rowing between students of Faculty of Physical Education and Sport - Charles University and Faculty of Physical Culture - Palacký University Olomouc Objectives: The main objective of this work is research on the extent of knowledge about rowing of the students of two sports-oriented university faculties. Another aim is to compare general knowledge of students and comparison of the two selected faculties Methods: To determine the necessary information was used quantitative research, using on-line interviews. Before the interview was modified a questionnaire on the given subject, which was planned for 100 respondents. The research was conducted using an electronic questioning when the questionnaire was completed 119 respondents from Faculty of Physical Education and Sport - Charles University and The Faculty of Physical Culture - Palacký University Olomouc Results: Based on the research results, it is possible to say that knowledge and awareness about the rowing is among respondents rather average. Approximately 75 % of the respondents knew the correct answer in three questions. But to another question stated the right answer only 12 % of respondents. Does ISS FSV UK prepare the Students for Actual Needs at the Labor Market?

The rigorous work "Does ISS educate their students in accordance with the needs of the labor market?" deals with the relationship between tertiary education of graduates and their labor market outcomes. In the theoretical part the thesis deals with the importance of education in relation to the employability of graduates. The methodological part approaches this relationship on a case study of the Institute of Sociological Studies, Faculty of Social Sciences, Charles University. Evaluation as s research method is chosen to solve the diploma thesis. The analytical part gradually reveals the conceptual model of the evaluated program, stakeholders and their interests. Miriam Kotrusová, Ph.D. Abstract The bachelor thesis deals with the examination possibilities and strategies for combination of university studies and employment in the Czech Republic in the context of difficult employment of graduates in the labour market at present, with emphasis on increasing their employability. Attention is focused on the issue of working students at universities. The goal is to identify student's strategies combine daily study and work and how to help the students to prevent them or legislative conditions. The work has an analytical character and operates as primary research data from semi-structured interviews and secondary data from foreign studies and legislative documents. Data are analysed using content and thematic analysis.

Swimming level of applicants for study at FTVS UK

Title: Swimming level of applicants for the study at FTVS UK Objectives: The aim of this theses is to evaluate the swimming level of applicants for studies of physical education at the Faculty of Physical Education and Sports at Charles University in the years 2008-2019. The survey will be conducted on the basis of the average times achieved and the average score of the candidates. Furthermore, we will probe the differences in the swimming level of men and women and in the choice of the swimming style. Methods: In this theses, methods of analysis and synthesis were used for data processing. Furthermore, there were used survey data analysis, statistical methods and comparison method for comparing partial results. Results: The results of the survey showed that the swimming level of applicants for studies at the Faculty of Physical Education and Sports at Charles University did not change significantly in the years 2008-2019. Men achieved average times ranging from 01:28,7-01:32,2 and women 01:40,6-01:45,6. The changes were not remarkable, so it is not possible to consider these fluctuations in the swimming level as significant in the overall evaluation. A slight increase in the swimming level occurred in the last year of the survey, but there was a significant decrease in number of applicants...
Perceived quality of life among university students

The presented thesis deals with precieved quality of life among university students, specifically with satisfaction and factors that influence it in subjective evaluation. The aim of the diploma thesis is to find out how the students of the University of South Bohemia in České Budějovice evaluate their quality of life. The research was carried out using the SEIQoL method and a semi-structured interview was chosen as an additional method. The criteria for choosing the respondents was intentional, in this case students of bachelor study of the Faculty of Education, specialization Health Education. The thesis is divided into theoretical and practical part. The theoretical part of the thesis deals mainly with the quality of life, happiness and well-being. The thesis briefly describes the lifestyle and young adulthood period and its characteristics. The practically oriented part is devoted to the research. The resulting data point to the fact that students evaluate their lives positively. The average quality of life index of these students is 72.8 % and the overall satisfaction rating is 72.6 %. The design of kit of activities promoting well-being of university teachers

The aim of the diploma thesis is to create a set of activities for university teachers that will have the potential to improve the working life of teachers and overall, well-being. The theoretical part of the thesis contains knowledge about well-being, its determinants, sources, but also well-being in connection with health. The next part of the theoretical part deals with the issue of personal change of well-being, how an individual can positively and negatively affect well-being. Furthermore, the theoretical part includes the topics of well-being in the workplace and creating a healthy work environment. In the last and one of the most important chapters of the theoretical part, the issue of well-being in university teachers is discussed, what shapes and influences his well-being. In the practical part there is a design of set of activities to improve well-being of university teachers. These activities are created on the basis of a search of professional literature. An applicant for a paid study programme as a target audience of online persuasion by FSV UK

The subject of the diploma thesis is the process of online persuasion in the case of higher education applicants for bachelor's and master's programmes at the Faculty of Social Sciences, Charles University (FSV UK) subject to tuition fees. The selected programmes form a specific class within the set of study programmes offered by the faculty resulting in necessity of different promotion strategies. The specificity of these programmes lies in the primary focus on multidisciplinarity, specific target group and the requirement of tuition fee payment. Online marketing and the recipient's persuasion being an effective tool gaining attention rapidly in recent years is the focus of this thesis. The attitudes of the main actors involved in the online persuasion in case of FSV UK are analyzed employing both quantitative (a questionnaire survey) and qualitative (semi-structured interviews with applicants and students) approaches. Students' use of cocaine in universities and colleges of Prague: questionnaire survey

Background: Recreational usage of cocaine in Prague has been increasing in the last few years, especially in the population of young adults within social events. Prevalence (the percentage of population affected by certain conditions or diseases in specific time frames) of cocaine use amongst students in universities and colleges has not yet been researched in Czech Republic. Aim: The main aim is to map the prevalence of cocaine use amongst students in universities and colleges of Prague. Secondarily, research aims to pattern of usage and difference in prevalence of cocaine use given the difference between their field of study. Methods: The data was collected through quantitative questionnaire survey. In total 1366 surveys were collected. This is compiled 554 surveys were conducted from bachelor students, 594 from master students and 218 from college students. Results: From results, we can see that lifetime prevalence of cocaine use in population of students in universities and colleges of Prague is 22 %. 42 % of students that used cocaine had used cocaine in the last year and 34 % of students used cocaine in the last thirty days.
