Internet and the Holy See

This diploma thesis called Internet and the Holy See deals with a specific question concerning relationship between the Catholic Church and media. It examines development of the attitude of the Holy See to the Internet in context of its attitude to mass media on the basis of exploration of ecclesiastical documents related to media and analysis of Internet and mass media use in practice. It takes the Internet as the latest fundamental milestone in development of human communication and probes how the Catholic Church represented by the Holy See deals with this phenomenon. Name of this thesis begins with the word Internet, to indicate perspective chosen on this topic. In the last chapter there are conclusions emerging from analysis of ecclesiastical documents compared with actual use of the Internet by the Holy See.
Meaning of practice and achieving of working experiences during the tertiary education due to competitivness on labor market in focus on graduates

This thesis is focused on the topic of job opportunities for graduates after the graduation on the labor market in the Czech Republic and possible preparation for this issue during the studies too. The object of this work is the participation of students on their career paths in the future and the competitiveness of their human capital. The position of graduates in the history of the Czech Republic is various. This thesis describes the university degree during the history and present of the Czech Republic. We're talking about the time period of socialism, then the Velvet Revolution and the period of tertiary education in a democratic society. These periods are described using the academic sources, theories and opinions. The thesis focuses on the time horizon of ten years from 2006 to 2015 in the research study. By the research author examines the various strategies and attitudes of students confronted with this issue. New challenges of the surveillance theory

The main aim of this diploma thesis, that names "New challenges of the Surveillance theory", is to describe the surveillance theory in today's social network society by using information theory. Accordingly, I will verify the theory of surveillance in two case studies. First case study verifies an impact of Facebook's profiles content on the hiring decisions. The second case sudy analyzes regular day of concrete person in context of surveillance. Both case studies demonstrate surveillance in different surveillance sites.
Monetization of Online Content and Its Effect on the Reception of Blogs

"Monetization of the internet content and its effect to the blogs reception" diploma thesis deals with journalism on the verge of the second decade of 21st century. Thesis describes changes, which are happening right now. It focuses on problems faced by traditional media and possibilites which are being opened for more agile on-line media. With the help of public opinion surveys, it shows views of the media consumers as well as those of media producers representatives. It also maps possible ways to monetize content as is advertising model, micropayments model, freemium or paywall and expounds advantages and disadvantages of each of them. In the next part it shows, how the monetization is used on different case studies, such as web server Motejlek.com, Slovakian media content subscription system Piano and successful American project The Huffington Post, which combines news aggregator with comments section and blogs. In its end the thesis is using the gathered knowledge and data to show strategies, which might be useful in today's fast changing world of media and on the other side shows weaknesses of some other concepts which author of the thesis doesn't accept as viable. The filter bubble and its consequences

The bachelor thesis focuses on negative consequences of personalized social sites called "The Filter Bubble". As for example, bachelor thesis focuses on Facebook, the typical social media platform which tailors its services to our personal preferences. The main question of the bachelor thesis is whether we are aware of negative consequences caused by filter bubble and how filtered information effects our worldview. The aim of this work is to introduces the term "Filter Bubble", evaluate benefits and risks and map awareness of the issue within a specific group of Facebook users using semi-structured interviews. Research uses qualitative method in line with Hendl J. (2005, 2nd ed.). Presented results of the research report how is the issue perceived by respondents and whether they are aware of the Filter Bubble. At the same time, the results present basis for a future research.

Title: Public relations AC Sparta Praha fotbal a.s. Objectives: The aim of this thesis is to evaluate public relations of AC Sparta Praha fotbal a.s. This thesis is manly focused on evaluating the work of department of communication a PR. The aim is to analyze and describe all the comunicaton channels of the club. Methods: This thesis uses an electronic questionnaire, which is filled by Sparta supporters. The other method is an interview with a employee of Sparta, who is a member of department of communication and PR. Another method is analysis of intern document of the club. Results: The supporters are satisfied with the work of the department of communication and PR. Sparta uses three basic communication channels, which includes social networks, magazine Sparta do toho! and an official web page. Sparta should improve its video materials and should begin to do more informal interviews with the players. The Role of Media in Eeveryday Life of Contemporary Early Teenagers

This bachelor thesis investigates the influence of media communication channels on students in elementary schools, mainly from the point of view how the media influence is perceived by the students themselves. In the introductory part the thesis presents key theoretical findings from selected literature related to the chosen theme and the paradigms issuing from theoretical research, mainly in the field of television broadcasting impact on the selected age category and on its capacity to notice the media impact by itself. In order to set the theme in the appropriate context the paper also introduces specialized terms, theories on the media impact and an overview of the current level of media education in families and schools. The empirical segment, which is the main part of this thesis, explains in thorough detail the preparation, execution and outcome of the research questionnaire applied on two Prague elementary schools. The questionnaire was applied on students from the 5th to the 9th grade. The quantitative research measurement, which was calibrated to confirm or infirm the research hypotheses, often confirms the previous theoretical findings and results of earlier research by quoted specialists. The "New Media at School" diploma thesis focuses on the presence of new media at school and on the meanings and practices associated with it. Based on participatory observation in Prague high school, semi-structured interviews and Internet resources analysis, it tries to understand how new media are involved in shaping the space and organization of the school, its teaching and learning organization. It focuses on how the school seeks to cope with the arrival of these expensive facilities for which it is responsible.It alsonotices how the school seeks to cope with the penetration of the different spaces that the new media bring into its hitherto closed environment. At the same time, it points to ways in which the school itself crosses its borders, the time-space of disciplination. Finally, it monitors the impact of new media on relationships within the school, between teachers and pupils, but also within the peer group. Through these meanings and practices, it points to the dilemmas that the emergence of new media has brought to the school environment, and analyzes how new media allows pupils to face this disciplination pressure in the school, and vice versa, in what moments new media themselves take disciplination into their own hands. New Media in Music Education

The theme of this master thesis is new media in music education. The theoretical part focuses on the description of the current situation - how and in what quantities are modern technology used in music education and what is their potential. In the introduction are defined the basic terms relating to those themes (new media, music 3.0, e-learning etc.) and a review of the literature regarding changes in music education in recent years. This introductory part is based on researches and papers on the subject of changes in today's music world and new possibilities that pupils and students have in the time of ubiquitous internet and freely available new media (application, online courses, educational games, specialized social networks). The theoretical part includes a brief overview of complimentary and free available technologies, which could be implemented into czech music education, including the proposal of integration to the classrooms. Title: The Use of Media in the EFL Classrooms at Secondary Schools in the 21st Century Author: Bc. Lucie Slavíková Department: Department of English Language and Literature Supervisor: PhDr. Radek Vít, Ph.D. Abstract The aim of this diploma thesis is to explore and compare various types of the old and the new media, which are commonly used in the EFL classrooms at the Czech secondary schools in the 21st century. The key question is to what extent are the new media implemented into the English lessons at the Czech grammar and secondary technical and vocational schools. The findings of the online questionnaire survey, which was conducted on the random sample of the Czech secondary school teachers of English and on the sample of the 15 or 16 years old first grade secondary school students of English proved that both the old and the new media are commonly used in the English lessons. However, despite the fact that the lives of the 21st century students are largely influenced by the new media, the English teachers use the old media more often. It is recommended that more initiatives and programmes should be directed at the promotion of the implementation of the new media into the English lessons and also at the training of the teachers in using them effectively.
