The text briefly outlines the definition of a photograph as a technical image and the related act of photography, and introduces us to the possibilities of its social examination through visual sociology via visual social facts. It shows photography to be a form of social ritual, a tool for preserving the present and a confirmation of an event, as well as a means of power. It presents the impact of technical reproduction on the mass dissemination of images and the related changes in the relationship to images. It shows the transformation of analogue photographs archived in family albums as a means of preserving family memory and biography, to digital photography that assumes a new role of self-presentation, primarily thanks to the new way of archiving in the virtual environment of social networks, thereby presenting a related theory of individualization.

The offence of intoxication - article § 360 of the criminal code Resumé This final thesis deals with the offence of intoxication, possible approaches on to how to punish such offenders whose insanity causes their intoxication. This thesis points out some of the difficulties that could occur while interpreting and applying the law, and is trying to suggest a solution that better corresponds with modern legislation and legal principles. The offence of intoxication - article § 360 of the Criminal Code is actually a special offence based on a construction of the facts of the case, concept of Rauschdelikt. It was restored into our Criminal Code with the amendment of an Act in 1991, which replaced the previous full criminal liability of individuals who caused their insanity voluntarily. The offence of intoxication is an important criminal law theory for its attitude to a "liability for fault" principle, which the criminal offence of intoxication "breaks through" and extends conditions of criminal liability itself. Insanity is generally considered a condition that relieves the perpetrator of criminal liability, but not in the case of the offence of intoxication. From society's point of view it is considered enough to distinguish between the insanity caused by an inborn mental disease and insanity caused by another...

An interpretation of the completion and sacred meaning of the Prague Cathedral in texts around the year 1800
Sadílková, Pavla
The text is based on the analysis of guidebooks to the Prague Cathedral and its descriptions from around 1800. The main aim is to analyse the relationship between the reflections on the Cathedral as an ancient place of cult and the evaluation of the artistic qualities of the Cathedral as an artistic monument. As compared to the Baroque tradition, the main change of the texts consists in the shift from considering it as a sacred place to describing it as an artistic monument. The main influence in this way may be ascribed to the text of F. L. Ehemant published in 1774. As the main qualities were described the illusionism of the Gothic space and the varying light effects in the interior of the Cahedral.
