Proposal and implementation of the communication plan for charity project Auction of the ice hockey jerseys and other original items

Vojtěch SEVERÝN Prague, 2012 ABSTRACT Title: Proposal and implementation of communication plan for charity Auction of ice- hockey jerseys and other original items Objectives: The aim of the thesis is to propose a project of the charity Auction of ice-hockey jerseys and the other original items with focus on the proposal, analysis and evaluation of efficiency of the communication plan. Methods: The whole thesis is designed as a case study. The efficiency of the communication plan is measured on a visits of microsite created for this project and also on a visits of the individual auctions. The yield of the auction is also an indicator of the efficiency. The project and also the implementation of communication activities were held from 7. 5. to 17. 5. 2012, and in the same time the monitoring of attendance was under way. Some indicators are compared to the period before the project started. Results: We found what communication tools were suitable for such a project, what tools were useless, if the timing of communication actions were right or wrong. Based on "behaviour" of the audience we proposed some options for developing of this project. Specific water properties of pit lakes in the Czech Republic

Anthropogenic lakes constitute a significant part of the Czech countryside water component which has not been given sufficient attention so far. The presented thesis deals with the assessment of variability of physico-chemical properties of water in 30 selected pit lakes in order to identify specific features associated with quarrying of different mineral raw materials, basin morphometry and trophic level of the lakes affecting the quality of accumulated water. In the second part of the thesis the author deals with the comprehensive limnological study of the Hromnické Lake with extreme water chemism resulting from excavation of pyritic shales and focuses on the phenomenon of meromixis especially. The results are based on the evaluation of physical properties of water in the lake vertical profile (temperature, conductivity, dissolved oxygen, pH, transparency and colour) and chemical analyzes of water samples collected from the surface and bottom of the lakes during the four seasons in 2003-07 (determination of Ca, Mg, Na, K, Nammon., NO3 - , SO4 2- , Cl- and alkalinity), including determination of chlorophyll-a. Sustainable Governance of the Visegrad Countries

With their accession to the EU the Visegrad countries subscribed to the fundamental objective of the Union under the Lisbon Treaty - sustainable development. They have undergone substantial reforms, brought their policies into compliance with EU standards and regulations. Nevertheless, a lot of work should still be done in the Visegrad Four in order integrate sustainable development approach into all of the fields of political activity and reorganize their decision-making models according to the new challenges. This study constitutes an analysis of the Visegrad states' performance in ensuring sustainable governance in the period 2005-2010. The research is based on the two editions of Sustainable Governance Indicators, developed by the Bertelsmann Stiftung, and published in 2009 (period of review: January 2005 - March 2007) and in 2011 (period of review: May 2008 - April 2010). In order to assess sustainability of the four Visegrad democracies the study provides a comprehensive comparative analysis of these states' performance and retraces the dynamics of their progress/regress in terms of ensuring sustainability. Cílem této práce je shromáždit a zpracovat veškeré v současné době dostupné informace o Trautzlově životě, o jeho působení v hudebních funkcích v oseckém klášteře, o jeho kompozičních i ostatních hudebních aktivitách. V tematickém katalogu Trautzlova hudebního díla je podán komplexní přehled jeho známé tvorby, vhled do struktury jeho skladatelského zaměření a v neposlední řadě pak i materiál sloužící k dalšímu bádání po eventuální neznámé části Trautzlova skladatelského odkazu. Důležitým úkolem této práce je také prezentace konkrétní hudby v podobě notového materiálu, z něhož by bylo možno zcela bezprostředně usuzovat na kvalitu výsledků Trautzlových kompozičních snah. Exploring models of work with family whose children suffer from severe forms of epilepsy

This work deals with families whose children suffer from a serious form of epilepsy. On a general level it describes to what extend the condition adversely influences each child's development stage. Then it focuses in detail on the impacts on the child's mental health, as well as on various constraints imposed by this condition. The study also explores the topics of the parent's acceptance, the consequences on the parent's approach to upbringing, capacities for coping with stress and the common ways of families' adaptation to the situation. The key topic of this study is the impact of the child's illness on the family, which is seen as a system. The essential thesis is that a change of one family component (the sick child) influences the entire system paradigm. Therefore in this sense the functioning and healthiness of a family is for the purposes of this study defined as the ability of a family system to cope with stress and adapt to it. The family stress coping strategies are seen as a key instrument for a successful adaptation. Anything a family does for strengthening and using resources for endurance falls under a stress coping strategy. Strunkovice nad Blanicí and on the grounds of this analysis, i. e. analysis of influences of outer company environment, to elaborate the synthesis and the outline of strategic recommendations for the future development of the company. The stategic analysis is elaborate in conditions of branches of agriculture that have unequivocal specific characteristics. The diploma is divided into two parts, the theoretical part and the application part, where methods of strategic analysis are applied to the concrete agricultural company.

The Role of Multimedia in Educational Support Systems

The aim of the diploma thesis "The Role of Multimedia in Educational Support Systems" is to analyze the current role of multimedia in information systems and to explore the existent use of multimedia in the educational process at VŠE. By doing so, the reader will be presented with a comprehensive roundup of the current technological tendencies concerning multimedia and their use in the educational environment. Among the topics analyzed within the scope of the technological foundations establishing chapters are the current role of multimedia, data types, transmission channels and the digitizing process. In the subsequent section, multimedia is being perceived as a concrete tool supporting the educational process. Based on the research conducted at VŠE that analyzed the technological, financial and personnel conditions, a concept of multimedia learning model was proposed in the eighth and final chapter. The current state analysis and the proposed multimedia education model at VŠE constitute the author's principal contribution to the educational field and at the same time a starting point for a future melioration of multimedia education deployment at VŠE.

Th Role of Experimental Treatment with Statins on the Expression of Genes Involved in the Pathogenesiis of Pancreatic Cancer

Úvod: Karcinom pankreatu patří mezi nádorová onemocnění s nejhorší prognózou. Vzhledem к lokalizaci pankreatu v retroperitoneu i dalším anatomickým a patofyziologickým souvislostem se příznaky karcinomu slinivky objevují velmi pozdě a u většiny nemocných již není možné zahájit radikální léčbu. Z těchto důvodů jen 5% nemocných přežívá 5 let od stanovení diagnózy. Většinou postihuje nemocné mezi 30-70 lety, přičemž průměrný věk v době stanovení diagnózy je přibližně 56 let. V posledním desetiletí se dostává do popředí zájmu tzv. DNA microarray technologie umožňující monitorování exprese genů. Exprese genů představuje komplexní proces, kterým je genetická informace uložená ve formě deoxyribonukleové kyseliny (DNA) přeměněna v konkrétní buněčné struktury a metabolické nástroje. Produkty exprese genů jsou molekuly bílkovin, jsou jimi však i ribonukleové kyseliny (RNA). Statiny (inhibitory HMG-CoA reduktázy) patří mezi klíčové léky v léčbě hypercholesterolémie. Z výzkumných studií vyplývá, že tato skupina léků má velmi významné protinádorové vlastnosti. Inhibicí HMGCoA reduktázy, klíčového enzymu v syntéze cholesterolu, totiž dochází také к depleci jednotlivých meziproduktů v syntéze cholesterolu, z nichž nejvýznamnější je farnesyl pyrofosfát hrající důležitou roli v buněčné signalizaci ovlivňující apoptózu....

This bachelor thesis focuses on mortgege crisis in the USA. The thesis consits of 3 section. The first part deals with the financial crises in general. The second section deals with the mortgage crisis in the USA. This section is devided into 3 chapter, chapet 1 describes the situation in the USA at the beginning of the crisis, the next chapter 2 focuses on mortgage and real estate market and shows the causes and behavior of the crisis. The last chapter summarizes the situation at the financial market, including the impact of the crisis and remedial measure that might help in recovering economy. The last section discuss about Europe, mainly the crisis impact on european union countries and their economies. The thesis analyses the condition of czech economy in context of the mortagage crisis. The thesis provides comprehensive view of the mortgage crisis and shows the situation of american economy since the year 2000.
