Outward Direct Investments by Czech Companies

The thesis provides information on rarely discussed issues -Czech outward foreign direct investments. The theoretical parts contains a brief overview of major theories and methodology of outward internationalization processes. The main hypothesis that deals with this issue is so called "investment development path" paradigm (IDP). This model explains why countries at a lower development stage first host foreign direct investments and why and when they start investing abroad. The practical part concentrates mainly on history, trends and role determining outward foreing direct investments of Czech enterprises. The major source for the analyses in this part is based on Czech National Bank data, Czech Statistical Office data and relevant scientific researches. This part also describes investment strategy of Czech companies - ČEZ a.s, Zentiva N.V. and Škoda-Auto a.s.The last chapter is engaged in applying IDP theory on case of Czech Republic.

Brazil as a Trade Partner of the Czech Republic, Special Focus on Tourism

The first chapter informs about the territory, population and the administrative division of Brazil. The second chapter characterizes the economy of the country, the third chapter describes its foreign trade. The fourth chapter discusses the way negotiations are held in Brazil and the facts to consider when entering the Brazilian market. The fifth chapter deals with trade relations between Brazil and the Czech Republic, the sixth chapter with tourism from Brazil to the Czech Republic and vice versa. The last chapter suggests an unconventional vacation in Brazil introducing the destination and the core activities first, giving details about the trip and the price calculation next and finally assessing the interest in this vacation based on a survey conducted via internet.

Sociological aspects of divorce and its predictors

Rozvod představuje legitimní způsob ukončení manželství za života obou manželů. Které faktory se však podílejí na rozhodování o ukončení manželství? Odpověď na tuto otázku lze hledat v individuálních osobnostních vlastnostech manželů, jejich sociodemografických charakteristikách nebo ve společensko - strukturních faktorech. Tato práce se nezabývá prediktory rozvodu na celospolečenské úrovni ani individuálními charakteristikami rozvádějících se manželů. Zaměřuje se na zkoumání objektivně poznatelných a tedy měřitelných prediktorů rozvodu, které jsou spojeny s individuální životní dráhou jedince, se sociodemografickými charakteristikami a s postoji k rodině a rolím muže a ženy v ní. V této práci je nejprve pojednáno o teoretických i empirických výsledcích zahraničních studií provedených na téma prediktorů rozvodu. O čtyřech z prediktorů je pojednáno podrobně. Jsou jimi: věk při vstupu do manželství, předmanželské soužití, pracovní participace žen a ekonomické faktory. Platnost výsledků zahraničních studií je dále testována na datech pro Českou republiku. Kapitola 6 je originálním příspěvkem k tematice prediktorů rozvodu.

The Importance of National Gastronomy in Tourism

The main aim of this bachelor thesis is to demonstrate the importance of national gastronomy in the sphere of tourism. Factors that are influential in the selection of a mass catering facility included in the programme of tours in Central Europe, specifically the Czech Republic, Austria and Hungary, are defined and described. An entire section is dedicated to Central European gastronomy. The practical part is devoted to a personal interview with Mrs. Marcela Daher, director of reservation food service in Prague for the Spanish travel agency PANAVISION Tours and its clients. Gastronomy research in the form of a questionnaire distributed among Spanish tourists is also included, and the results are evaluated and contemplated in the conclusion of the bachelor thesis.

Lifestyles of young czech generation

Author's thesis is concerned with lifestyles of young Czech generation. Lifestyle is considered to be based on different combinations of leisure patterns. Theoretical part deals with the concepts of lifestyle and leisure. The problematics of lifestyle is explained within the main aspects of lifestyle, which is plurality of lifestyles, effectivity, individualization, diversity and lifestyles'main determinants. Flooding Risk and Ways to Eliminate Its Consequences

The first part of the paper focuses on the global warming effects on the extreme weather events frequency. The second part tries to specify the role of the critical institutions managing the flooding risk in the Czech Republic. The following chapters are all aimed at the fundamental questions of the paper: Insurability conditions, position of the individual insurance companies, necessity of the insurers - reinsurers cooperation and alternative risk transfer (ART) methods endeavouring to deepen the capacity of the traditional reinsurance markets.

The Ještěd's novels by Karolina Světlá from the point of romantic concepts of female protagonists

Tématem diplomové práce Ještědské romány Karoliny Světlé ve světle romantických konceptů ženy je snaha postihnout hlavní hrdinky ještědských románů Karoliny Světlé v několika aspektech. Vycházet budeme z teoretické části, která se zabývá inspiračními zdroji, jež Karolinu Světlou ovlivnily. Nejprve se pokusíme nastínit problematiku rané německé romantické filosofie. V českém prostředí jako první Arne Novák ve svém díle Podobizny žen poukázal na propojení díla Karoliny Světlé s německým romantismem. V počátcích se zaměříme na obecné tendence této filosofické koncepce. Následně se budeme zabývat konceptem nové mytologie a fenoménem romantického génia. Schlegel, Fichte a Schelling budou pro nás svými pracemi představovat zdroj nezkreslených úvah o německé romantické filosofii. V rámci romantické koncepce se pokusíme definovat pojem romantismus. Druhým výchozím inspiračním zdrojem se stane samostatná kapitola ženyspisovatelky!. Nejprve si utřídíme dějinná fakta (kdy vstupují ženy-autorky do literatury ajakjsou přijímány nejen čtenáři, ale hlavně svými kolegy muži-spisovateli) a následně se budeme věnovat významné ženské spisovatelce 19. století George Sand. George Sand bude představovat přímý inspirační vzor, na který Karolina Světlá ve své tvorbě navazuje. Třetí oblastí, kterou budeme sledovat, je učení...

Spiritual Guidance

The work deals with spiritual guidance.Concept of spiritual gudiance and related concepts is defined first. Next the spiritual accompaniment is defined against the sacrament of reconciliation on the one hand and to psychological counseling on the other. The paper tries to show that the concept of spiritual accompaniment is rooted in the tradition of Christian spirituality.It is possible to interpret some biblical stories from this perspective. But some personalities of the history of spirituality also contributed to the current conception of spiritual accompainment. Own capter is dedicated to them. The following is a more detailed analysis of the content and typical forms of spiritual guidance, requirements for accompanying and specifics of various categories of accompanied. Some pathological phenomena in the context of spiritual accompaniment appear are mentioned also. The results of field research in selected communities of different denominations are a separate part of the work. They have demonstrated wheather the concept of spiritual accompaniment is known and wheather it is used and by whom. An important question is also characteristic of the typical accompanying.
