Operetta in the Karlin Musical Theatre

The fundamental topic of my thesis is operetta in the Karlin Musical Theatre. In the first part of the thesis I inquire into the development of the genre itself. The next chapter is dedicated to famous Czech and international authors of the most renowned operetta works. I have dedicated an especial space to the operetta of Mam'zelle Nitouche as one of the most successful foreign operettas in our country. It is followed by an overview of light opera houses, mainly in Prague, that are in operation since the 18th century. I also inquire into the development of the Karlin Musical Theatre and its changes. I my thesis prominent figures in the management of the theatre as well as performing stars are featured. I give a short account of their artistic lives and their contribution to the genre of operetta in Karlin Musical Theatre. My work is concluded by the interviews with influential members of the ensemble of the theatre.

Christologic motives in the modern Czech painting and graphic art

The thesis maps the occurrence of christological motifs in the Czech painting and graphics after 1900 and compares approaches of artists of different generations to their depiction. Selected christological art works are analysed from three main aspects: 1. iconography, 2. style and form, 3. philosophical and psychological resources. A particular chapter deals with christological motifs in modern liturgical art. The conclusion of the work evaluates the significance of the christological theme in context of the modern Czech art development.

Flexible forms of work in the Czech Republic and the Netherlands

Master thesis is focused on the research and comparing the level of flexibility of labor markets in the Czech Republic and the Netherlands. Labor market flexibility is an important instrument of economic policy, which increases employment. The aim of this thesis is the analysis of flexible forms of work in the Czech Republic and the Netherlands and comparison of non-standard working contracts in these two countries. The first part contains the explanation of theoretical approaches to labor market flexibility. The second part is a comparative and factorial analysis of Czech and Dutch labor market. During the thesis labor standards in both countries are compared, on the basis of statistical data LFS (Labour Force Servey) is made an evaluation of the level of flexibility of the labor markets in both countries, the quality of flexible working arrangements and the reasons for their use. Recommendations for economic policy of the Czech Republic are proposed on the basis of the obtained results.

Social and legal status of persons with health disabilities

The very thesis is divided into theoretical and practical part. The theoretical part of the thesis at the very beginning focused on the social history of people with certain disabilities. Continues thesis definition and characteristics of disability and its exact breakdown. The next chapter deals with the analysis of contemporary society in the area of discrimination against persons with disabilities and points to the possibility of employment in the labor market just people with disabilities. A relatively large part of the thesis is devoted to the concept of disability, then the conditions for entitlement to a disability pension and social benefits, especially for people with disabilities. The next part refers to various non-profit organizations Conclusion itself thesis is devoted to legislation related to social assistance to disabled persons. The practical part is based on a questionnaire survey forms and personal interviews. The text part is supported by graphs, tables and streamline the survey results further illustrative photographs of people with disabilities.

The Instruments and Methods of Czech Cultural Diplomacy

This diploma thesis aims to identify the instruments of cultural diplomacy of the Czech Republic in the form of institutions and consequently methods that are used by these institutions. In the theoretical part, the author defines the basic concepts of public and cultural diplomacy and cultural policy. Next chapter of the theoretical part will focus on the institutional promotion of cultural diplomacy and will subsequently define methods and forms, which are used in cultural diplomacy. Essential parts of foreign policy are international agreements between states and in the field covered by the Ministry of Culture these arrangements are primarily the so called Cultural Agreements. The theoretical part of the thesis will describe cultural diplomacy in practice. In the empirical part the author will use the comparative method of analysing the differences in the specific example of cultural policy instruments of Czech Centres in London, Berlin and Kiev. Comparisons will be made on the basis of quantitative data from 2011. The sources for this comparison are the internal statistics of the Czech Centres.

Marketing and PR strategy for University Sports Club Prague

This thesis disserts on marketing and PR activities of sport club of whiterwater slalom kayaking "University Sports Club Prague" (USK Praha). Current situation is analyzed and a new communication strategy is made. Kinds of marketing and marketing in general are described in the theoretical part. The theoretical part includes also description of forms of marketing and commercial communications. Practical part is opened by introduction of USK Praha and an analysis of current situation. New communication strategy is created step by step in the sixth chapter. The very last chapter is the most important, because there is mentioned every single step and there is always explained why it is necessary to realize it. All activities are set in a time frame.

Diversity management

The key topic of the work is diversity management, i.e. management of em-ployees" diversity within organization. Opening part of the work identifies the position of diversity within society and related phenomena such as stereotypes, biases and various forms of discrimination. Then the work discusses the role of diversity management in organizations, its principles and basic areas of focus. Attention is paid to certain social groups that the diversity management concept should especially deal with. This concerns especially themes like employment of foreigners, women and man taking maternal and parental leave, employees over fifty years of age and physically challenged people. The work also mentions top-ics like work-life balance of employees and equal treatment of women and men in an organization. Furthermore, the work discusses benefits of diversity manage-ment and explains reasons, why organizations should implement this concept. Second part of the work demonstrates practical application of diversity manage-ment in an organization, its implementation, monitoring and evaluation. The final chapter of the work presents examples of real organizations that have successfully applied diversity management. Electronic banking in Czech republic and its possibilities

The subject of the thesis: Electronic banking in Czech republic and its possibilities -- is to bring closer the electronic banking of the Czech republic and to sum up its actual status. In the first part of this thesis the conception of the electronic banking is defined, next its advantages and disadvantages in comparison with the classic office banking from both views -- client's and bank's, followed by its security and history. Each form of the electronic banking is defined and subscribed in the middle section. Last part of this thesis is aimed at the research of the czech banking market and to choose the best alternate of the electronic banking services for client -- non-entrepreneur. This research is based on multicriterial classification according to in advance defined standards.

Theory and practice of a merger (selected issues)

The objective of the thesis is a merger in czech business environment. The first chapter focuses on the history of mergers and motives of mergers. The next part concentrates on the characteristics of the transformation of the companies. The thesis includes description of mergers according to the international accepted standards, mainly IFRS 3 (IAS 22). There is a description of mergers from the legal, accounting and tax point of view. After the theoretical part the thesis describes a real case of a merger of two companies combined with the transformation of legal form.
