The development of literature for the recorder with focus on the baroque era

The theme of this bachelor thesis is the development of literature for the recorder from the beginnings to the present, with greater emphasis on literature from the Baroque period. The first part deals with the influence of development of the instrument on the development of literature, as well as the development of the recorder itself from its beginnings until today. The second part describes the literature for the recorder in individual historical periods. It outlines the main features of the recorder literature until the year 1600 and the main tendencies in the literature of the 20th and early 21st century. The greatest attention is devoted to Baroque literature. This chapter also contains a list of important works for recorder solo from the Baroque period.

Arabian Gulf Women's Novel in the Context of Culture and Society

The thesis introduces the problems facing Arab novels written by women from the Arabian Peninsula, taking into account the socio-cultural aspects of the region. The thesis closely reads and analyzes selected novels by writers from Kuwait, Qatar, Saudi Arabia and Oman, in order to find common perspectives among authors on key issues affecting the status of women in society. By using the themes and characters as source for analysis, the thesis tries to answer the question about whether the female Arab writers tend to confirm the patriarchal order, or on the contrary they reject it. At the same time, the thesis analyzes the attitudes of women novelists towards the traditional values of their own society, in contrast with modern values. The thesis takes into account the major social, cultural and economic changes rapidly transforming this region in a very short period of time. These transformations have inevitably brought about substantial intergenerational conflicts within traditional families.

Mauriac, Emma Bovary, Thérèse Desqueyroux, destructive women , victims, comparison Abstract : The thesis deals with two female characters of French novels from the 2nd half of the 19th century, Madame Bovary by Gustave Flaubert and Thérèse Desqueyroux by Françoise Mauriac. The life and work of the two authors are briefly described as well as the time when they lived. The longer part of the thesis presents a content analysis and a formal analysis of the novels. The thesis places particular emphasis on the analysis of the story, the main characters and turning points in their lives. The aim is then to compare the two heroines based on the previous analysis of the novels and to highlight what they have in common and in what they differ and to answer the question of whether or not Emma Bovary and Thérèse Desqueyroux are victims, victims of circumstances, or whether they are inherently destructive and rightly described as monsters. All the important points of the thesis are summarized in the conclusion.

This thesis focuses its attention on librarian profession. It follows the development of librarian profession since its beginning to the present. The thesis is concerned with prestige of the profession and its image. It represents some of the Czech librarian awards and deals with their holders. It introduces leading figures of Czech and world culture, who worked in library during their lives. Finally, the thesis seeks to capture the image of a librarian in literature and film.

The publisihing house's profile : grada

After 1989 publishing business opened for new subjects. One of them is Grada Publishing, a. s., which celebrated the 20th anniversary of its successful activity on the Czech market in 2011. Grada focuses on non-fiction and professional literature on the book market and is ranked as one of the five most productive subjects with more than three hundred books a year. This bachelor thesis concentrates on description and analysis. It presents collected information about the publishing house's formation and development; primarily it deals with the changes in the catalogue of publications in the set period of two decades. A short summary of the discipline's history offers the opportunity to compare it with the modern shape of publishing profession. Grada started with computer literature. Computers and the Internet are said to be stealing readers. The thesis also deals with the response of the publishing house to new possibilities of publicity and distribution of books (Internet, e-books). Further, it focuses on an overview of the current state where emphasis is put on thematic categories and editions and their evaluation. This thesis deals with an issue, which features of works by Paulo Coelho can in literary terms acquire evaluation of art or kitsch. Theoretical part consists of basic concepts of aesthetics defined with regard to diversity of perspectives of scientific literature. Second part consists of comparison and characterization of literary expressions and cheesiness based on analysis of Coelhos works.

Analysis of chosing text into reading books for 2nd grade of elementary school (focused on 9th class)

Resume Principle of this bachelor labor is to analyze texts in reading books for pupils of age 11 to 15. It is focused on adolescent reader mainly. I tried to find out whether articles in reading books have respected a pupil as a specific reader with specific needs, interests and preferences. I analyzed six different reading books in my labor. Each of them represented another author's style of writing. My analyses on reading books have been more complex. First of all I have made short characteristics and next I closely analyze articles from different aspects, e.g. representation of national and world literature, representation of female and male writer etc. Part of my labor was a survey among pupils of ninth class which compared theoretical information's gained from specialized publication, information from questionnaires and the present state of adolescents reading. I tried to find out what is the interest in books or reading in a sequence on texts in reading books for pupils of age 11-15.
