Managing stressful situations by alcohol addicted women

Main theme of this work is generation of coping strategies by the women with alcohol dependence. Author is highlighting mounting society tolerance to stress and to alcohol abuse and she also shows this two phenomenon in mutual context. By the women side of population author particular describe dependence and border of society norm. Main goal is to bring to light and explore maladaptive strategies, by women with alcohol dependence, which are varied from ordinary population and the reason of such a behavior. To solve this issue author chose two methods. Firstly she uses data from TAT projective test, secondly verbal self examination test SVF. Inquire group of women author compare with control group of women, who embody no alcohol problem. Better success is expected from control group, because normal population should have better coping strategies. From result of research ensue, that women with alcohol dependence embody worse coping strategies indeed. But this difference is not such as strong as was expected. In declarative test SVF alcohol dependent women overestimate their strategies in comparison to TAT. Psychological aspects of pain management

Bachelor's thesis deals with pain management from psychological perspective. It covers emotional, cognitive and behavioral factors, pain coping strategies and individual differences in pain management. This work focuses on the time dimension of pain. The aim is to describe psychological aspects of acute and chronic pain management - the differences between acute and chronic pain management and the role of psychological aspects in pain chronification. Psychological aspects of pain, especially pain coping strategies, are evaluated in terms of efficiency and adaptability. The research project is designed as a prospective study investigating if there are any pain coping strategies related to pain chronification and if the coping strategies change during pain chronifiaction. Subjective pereption of Quality of life of people after spinal injury

The thesis deals with the subjective perception of quality of life of persons that have suffered a spinal cord injury. The Theoretical part is devoted to the quality of life, its definitions, concepts, factors and measuring. Further, it focuses on spinal cord injuries and their consequences with regard to functionality of extremities and organs. It describes types of handicap, process and components of physical therapy. It also deals with psychological stress of a person dealing with the injury and its consequences. Focus is in particular applied to coping strategies and adaptation mechanisms. The third chapter of the Practical part is devoted to the quality of life of a specific target group, i.e. of persons that have suffered spinal cord injury. It introduces the factors and specific aspects contributing to the perception of quality of life. It also addresses some of the frequent mistakes and stereotypes in approaches to people with handicap. In the Empirical part, we have found out that people who suffered spinal cord injury perceive the lower level of quality of life in the area of health and relationships. In the theoretical part of this bachelor thesis, there is a general summary of information about alcoholism, children's psyche and their developement, family, and strategies focusing on coping with the fact that their parents are people with greater problems, issues in the family and the impact of family on a child. The thesis consists of a possible precaution for children of parents- alcoholics and publication which was written mainly by the offspring of such parents for them. World of Cerebral Palsy

- Miroslav Kudláček "World of Cerebral Palsy" The aim of this project is to describe a process how people suffering from Cerebral palsy are getting to know their own disability. It is characteristic for this disease that its first symptoms develop not later than one year after the birth. So if follows that this man/child does not have a chance to gain any kind of experience of what it means "to be healthy". Therefore his point of view as far as his disability is concerned is completely different from those people who, for example, have had a car accident. The paper therefore intends to deal with a cognitive process how such disabled individuals cope with this problem. Theoretical part will be based on social constructivism (Berger, Luckmann, Kabele) and Piaget's "psychology of development". Methodological part should consist of interviews with people with Cerebral palsy which they will analyzed by concept Grounded Theory.
Environmental stress

Environment, its condition and environmental factors influence human wellbeing both directly because it has direct impact on human's physical health and indirectly because it can cause stress and therefore have negative effect on wellbeing and health. Aim of this work is to find out which environmental factors and problems can cause stress and what factors, how and why, have impact on emergence of environmental stress and coping strategies. Important factors influencing environmental stress and especially coping strategies are stressor characteristics, perceived impact, coping resources, and especially perceived capability to cope with the stressor which is strongly influenced by information and experience and by behavior of others. An individual chooses passive or active coping strategy depending on these factors. Pro-environmental behavior could be one of these active coping strategies.

This bachelor thesis titled Coping Strategies in Bikini Fitness Competition discusses one of the contemporary phenomena in the female bodybuilding category - Bikini Fitness. This category is continuously increasing in popularity within girls and women of different age ranges and levels of experience mainly due to the growing influence of the current social trends and media. Considering the combination of the physical and modelling requirements with the requirement of preservation of femininity, Bikini Fitness can be seen as a rather specific category. The author of this qualitative-oriented thesis mainly focuses on the assessment of the competitor's motivation, experience, and the subjectively perceived challenges rendered within the category and the respective coping strategies. Moreover, the author examines the competitor's functioning during particular periods of the contest season in regards to family, employment, study and social life demands. Coping strategies in case of hearing loss in young age

The bachelor thesis is devoted to the topic of hearing loss in young age. The thesis is focused on the process of coping with hearing loss acquired in adolescence and young adulthood. The aim of this bachelor thesis is to examine ways, how people experienced the acquired deafness, how they coped with it, which processes helped them to deal with the deafness and where they found support, and vice versa what makes the coping process harder. The thesis consists of two parts - a theoretical and a practical one. The first, theoretical part describes the meaning of hearing ability and consequences of hearing impairments on human life, and focuses on defining people with hearing impairment and on specification of post- lingual deaf people in the group of people with hearing impairment. It follows up with characterization of developmental periods of adolescence and early adulthood. The main part is the chapter of stress, of coping strategies in general and of coping with hearing loss as a hard life situation specifically. The strategic context of coping with boredom and attitude to school subjects

The bachelorś thesis is focused on experiencing boredom in pupils at the second stage of primary school, specifically the seventh and eight grades. The occurence of boredom and the main student strategies for managing boredom will be mapped, as well as the studentś attitude to these subjects (popularity of the subject, difficulty of the subject, importance of the subject, degree of boredom in the subject). The purpose of the work is to change the connection between the occurrence of boredom in individual subjects and the attitudes of students to these subjects. The theoretical part is divided into several thematic areas. It outlines the picture of the current state of knowledge in the field of boredom and its management and it describes the issue of motivation in teaching with a connection to boredom. Furthermore, there are presented models that are serious in the school environment, where each of the models views boredom differently There are also mentioned possibilities of diagnostics in this area with the use of questionnaire methods in the school environment.
