Patients had visited the nutrition specialist twice, so in research are incudet data from each visit with the therapist. From the results, it is obvious that most of obese patients have at least one obese parent. The main problem comes from parents, because they have bad nutrition and exercise habits. This thesis deals with methods used for childhood obese patient education. It is further devoted to the creation of new educational resource to help fight the childhood obesity. This educational material has been prepared on a similar basis as the educational material for diabetic patients called Conversation maps TM. The theoretical part is dedicated to three main topics. Finally, the third main topic is focused specifically on education in childhood obesitology and educational materials dealing with this issue. Quality of childhood obesity prevention and its specific impact on children aged 11-15 years is assessed in practical part. This part was realized using quantitative research, where I used an anonymous non-standardized questionnaire (which contained 14 questions) to gather the necessary data. The aim of the questionnaire was to find two facts. First, I was wondering where the children got accurate information about a healthy lifestyle. This finding has influenced the formation of educational material. Second, I was wondering what the real dietary habits of children aged 11-15 years are. The survey shows that...

Dománková, Hana ; Tušková, Eva (advisor) ; Kohoutek, Jan (referee)
This bachelor thesis is a case study of how the childhood obesity prevention with nutrition process is applied on grammar schools and what are the problems in this process, while the childhood obesity is viewed as a public health problem in this thesis. It is based on theoretical basis from public policy - implementation process and importance of street-level bureaucrats and overweight and obesity determinants where the nutrition plays the key role. To fulfil the goals of the thesis, there was used the institutional analysis of current legislative and institutional frame and interviews with street-level bureaucrats of educational policy. The results show that on institutional level, the childhood obesity problem is taken seriously and there are many suggestions of how to work on its' solution, however, the implementation of these solutions is on considerably worse level. The schools greatly underestimate their possible influence on nutrition habits of their students and they delegate all the responsibility of this part of education on family or only the school canteen itself.

Obesity negatively affects quality of life of children and its high prevalence is a global problem. Obesity is a multifactorial disease, whose formation influence genetic and exogenous factors. Exogenous factors can act directly on obese individuals and can be defined by the markers of personal history, or may act within the family and then they are define by the markers of family history. The health risks associated with obesity are high and therefore you need to focus on the treatment of obesity in childhood. In childhood it is still possible to change unhealthy habits and lifestyle. Voglová, Daniela ; Háva, Petr (advisor) ; Kružík, Lubomír (referee)
This work follows the studies focused on obesity, its global extent and its serious health and economic impact. At the same time, the work examines the unsuccessful fight of public policies which try to reverse growing prevalence of obesity. Nevertheless, the main goal of the thesis is a discussion about priorities of new orientation in the research on the causes of the obesity epidemic and effectiveness of precautions that were taken in many countries and international organizations with the main aim to stop the obesity and its consequences. The discussion leads to the more detailed description of the problems connected with obesity, for instance, environmental aspects, housing culture in relation to physical activities, lifestyle in relation to advertisement/marketing, psychological and socio- psychological aspects, combating stress, etc. My intention was to find out utility of contemporary research on obesity for setting of policy fighting against obesity. At the same time, I wanted to find out other possible directions in the research into this field and discover how the discussion about priorities of the research in the experimental community proceeds. Two international dimensions of paradigmatic approaches separated to the certain degree can be considered as relevant with regard to the global...
