Tato bakalářská práce je případovou studií, která se zabývá procesem prevence dětské obezity pomocí výživy na nižším stupni víceletých gymnázií a problémy v tomto procesu, přičemž dětská obezita je zde vnímána jako problém veřejného zdraví. Opírá se o teoretická východiska z oblasti veřejné politiky - proces implementace a význam aktérů na pozici street-level byrokratů a determinantů nadváhy a obezity, kde právě výživa hraje klíčovou roli. K naplnění cílů práce je použita institucionální analýza stávajícího legislativního a institucionálního rámce a rozhovory s aktéry vzdělávací politiky na pozici street-level byrokratů. Z výsledků analýzy vyplývá, že na institucionální úrovni je problém dětské obezity vnímán závažně a existuje množství doporučení, jak přispět k jeho řešení, nicméně v procesu implementace těchto řešení jsou značné mezery. Školy svou roli v ovlivňování stravovacích návyků svých žáků značně podceňují a odpovědnost za tuto sféru výchovy delegují z převážné většiny na rodinu, případně pouze na školní jídelnu. This bachelor thesis is a case study of how the childhood obesity prevention with nutrition process is applied on grammar schools and what are the problems in this process, while the childhood obesity is viewed as a public health problem in this thesis. It is based on theoretical basis from public policy - implementation process and importance of street-level bureaucrats and overweight and obesity determinants where the nutrition plays the key role. To fulfil the goals of the thesis, there was used the institutional analysis of current legislative and institutional frame and interviews with street-level bureaucrats of educational policy. The results show that on institutional level, the childhood obesity problem is taken seriously and there are many suggestions of how to work on its' solution, however, the implementation of these solutions is on considerably worse level. The schools greatly underestimate their possible influence on nutrition habits of their students and they delegate all the responsibility of this part of education on family or only the school canteen itself.
