Diplomová práce se zabývá sebepojetím, body image a kvalitou života u dětí trpících nadváhou a obezitou ve věku 10 až 12 let. V teoretické části se práce věnuje vymezení dětské obezity. Výzkum je kvantitativního charakteru a využívá několik dotazníkových metod. Pro oblast sebepojetí byl zvolen dotazník Vnímání sebe sama pro děti, pro kvalitu života Dotazník o pediatrické kvalitě života a pro body image škálu siluet dětských postav. Data byla získána na základních školách, gymnáziích, léčebnách a ozdravovně, po celé České republice. Výzkumu se zúčastnilo celkem 211 dětí (117 dívek a 94 chlapců). Na základě percentilu BMI byly děti rozděleny do klinické (N = 50) a neklinické (N = 161) skupiny. Výsledky dotazníků jsme statisticky analyzovali a provedli komparaci mezi klinickou a neklinickou skupinou. Bylo zjištěno, že děti trpící nadváhou a obezitou dosahovaly ve všech testech nižšího průměrného skóre než děti s normální hmotností. Sebepojetí, body image a kvalita života dětí s nadváhou a obezitou je nižší než u dětí s normální hmotností. Naopak se nepotvrdil předpoklad, že dívky z klinické skupiny budou více nespokojené se svým tělem, než chlapci z klinické skupiny. The thesis deal with self -perception, body image and quality of life of children suffering from overweight and obesity. The age of children ranges from 10 to 12. In theoretical part thesis deals with definition of the children obesity. The research is of quantitative character and uses several questionnaire methods. For self-perception has been chosen Self-perception profile for children inventory, for quality of life Pediatric quality of life inventory and for Body image Child Figure Scale. The dates were obtained in primary schools, health resorts and sanatorium all over the Czech Republic. In the research participated 211 children (117 girls and 94 boys). On the basis of percentile BMI the children were divided into clinical (N=50) and nonclinical (N=161). We statistically have analysed questionnaire results and we have done the comparison between clinical and nonclinical group. It has been ascertained that the children who suffer from overweight and obesity achieve in all the tests lower average scores than the children with the normal weight. Self-perception, body image and quality of life of children with overweight and obesity is lower than children with the normal weight.
