The specifics of spending leisure time in children with Asperger syndrome

Department of Education. Thesis supervisor P. Samcová. This work deals with the specifics of leisure time of children with Asperger syndrome. The theoretical part describes autism, the triad of problem areas and autism spectrum disorders, which include Asperger syndrome based on symptoms. Asperger syndrome itself is described, a diagnosis that is important for determining this diagnosis and certain problems that are typical of Asperger syndrome. The theoretical part also defines the concept of leisure time, play, school club, inclusive education and assistant teacher. The practical part contains findings from individual interviews with respondents who have a child with Asperger syndrome in younger school age, identified groups and subsequent summary of the whole research.

Trans People on the Autism Spectrum

The bachelor thesis deals with a co-occurrence of trans identity and autism, which has been a subject of academic interest in recent years. Its aim was to find out how these people relate to their dual diagnosis, what are their experiences with professionals, and whether they relate to autistic or trans communities. The theoretical part addresses three areas. The first part introduces the basic concepts related to trans issues and the process of transition in Czechia that most trans people go through. It also mentions the sources of stress that have psychological impacts on these people. The second section defines autism, introduces the concept of neurodiversity and briefly mentions gender differences in autism. The third part then describes the findings on the co-occurrence of autism and trans identity, the theories in consideration and the recommendations of the clinical guideline. The empirical part describes the conducted qualitative research. Two online interviews, one unstructured and one structured, were done with each of the three respondents. Horticultural therapy in individuals with autism spectrum disorder

Title: Horticultural therapy in individuals with autism spectrum disorder Objectives: The objective of this work was to map the use of education in the natural environment in children with autism spectrum disorder in schools and leisure organizations in the Czech Republic, with special focus on therapeutic- pedagogical use of gardens, called horticultural therapy. As a part of investigation, it was examined whether this form of therapy was part of the teaching process and how it might influence the behaviour of the individuals concerned. Methods: Empirical research was conducted by collecting data using a questionnaire of its own design. It has been sent to school educators who include the inclusion of children with autism spectrum disorder and to special organizations caring for individuals with autism spectrum disorder throughout Czech Republic. Results: The results of the questionnaire survey, which evaluated 40 responses, show that of the respondents interviewed, 41 % encountered the concept of ecotherapy and perceived it as an appropriate supplement. The thesis deals with the operation of an inclusive summer camp, which is attended by intact children and siblings of children with disabilities, in addition to children with autism spectrum disorder, intellectual disabilities and Down syndrome. The thesis mainly deals with the programme during the week-long stay at the camp and also focuses on interviews with the intact participants. The aim of this thesis is to analyse the preparation, implementation and subsequent detailed description of the inclusive summer camp and also to analyse its impact on the child participants. In my thesis I would like to test the hypothesis that children at the inclusive camp in Bukova get everything they expect from it (quality program, friends, fun, safety, trust in leaders, etc.) even if there are children with disabilities who require a lot of care and attention from other adult leaders and assistants. The bachelor thesis with title "The Picture Exchange Communication System and his application of child with autism spectrum disorder", deals with problems in communication of the children with autism spectrum disorders. One of the goals of the thesis is to submit a comprehensive overview of the essential knowledge of autism, history of autism, typical triad of symptoms (characteristic features of children with autism), etiology, and dividing autism by the adaptability. Another goal is to introduce the reader with a detailed feature and the use of the Picture exchange communication system, since this system is an efficient method of alternative communication, which makes the world more understandable, and not only for children with autism spectrum disorders. The goal of the practical part of the bachelor thesis is to answer hypotheses, which is achieved through case study. It deals with life story and applications of communication therapy of autistic boy in real life. Part of this work is also supplemented by a public opinion survey, which analyse positions of other parents to the Picture exchange communication system.

The aim of this thesis is to find out chat forms of zoorehabilitation exists and how it can help to people with autism and thein families. The work begins with a brief definitiv of autism and its history. The FIFA charter is devoted to autism spektrum disorders, its influence on social relationships, communication, imagination, games and interests. The sixth charter deals with disorders of the autism spektrum. I describe each disorder separately, its characteristics, even if there are not fixed boundaries between different disordes. The seventh charter is devoted to the diagnosis of autism spektrum disorders, chat are the metod sof diagnosis. Next charter describers chat options do parents of these childern have in education. Following charter describes Civic associations, that arise and hepl parents of childern affected by autism and ether formo f disabilities. Role of father in family with children with mental disability

This diploma thesis deals with father of a child with mental disability. Thesis is divided in the theoretical and the experimental part. The theoretical part contains information about the role of fathers and men in families with a child with mental disabilities. Experimental part presents research using internet questionnaire focused on the role of father a child with mental disabilities. The second part of the research were related phenomenological interviews with fathers of children with intellectual disabilities or autism. The aim of the research is to describe and capture the experiences of these men.
