Vojíř, Stanislav ; Nemrava, Jan (advisor) ; Kliegr, Tomáš (referee)
Writing of analytical reports in natural language is important, but not very simple. At this time, most of analytical reports are written in Microsoft Word and saved as classical files. The object of this bachelor thesis is the change to simpler writing of analytical reports in online application CMS Joomla!. To this functionality, we use some extensions of CMS Joomla!. After demands definition, we use an exitor-xtd plug-in and a component for CMS Joomla! 1.5. Using extensions, which were written in this thesis, authors of analytical reports are able to select part of dates from data mining application and insert this part to edited analytical report. The data source for including is xHTML presentation of data from data mining application. In this bachelor thesis, there are described information about dividing of xHTML document, part selection and including to the edited text. The secondary functionality of build extensions is updating of included blocks in selected analytical report. Users can select finished analytical report and update the included blocks with newer data. At the University of Economics, Prague, all students of informatics learn about fundamental data mining in the subject 4iz210 - Information and Knowledge Processing. In this subject, the students will use CMS Joomla! with extensions from this bachelor thesis. The start-up mounting will be at the end of summer semester in academically year 2008-2009. This bachelor thesis could be used as inspiration for extension development for CMS Joomla!, too.

Artificial neural networks and their application in the assessment of insurance risks
Macek, Karel ; Jiroutek, Pavel (referee) ; Mrázová, Iveta (advisor)
The present work studies applicability of artificial neural networks in the assessment of insurance risk. Structure and function of multilayer perceptrons, Kohonen maps, Fuzzy ART networks, and Fuzzy ARTMAP networks are described. Concept of insurance risk is defined and the ratemaking by generalized linear models is introduced. Neural networks' methods for reduction of input space's dimension, knowledge extraction, and visualization are summed up. Data describing traffic accidents are acquainted and results achieved on them are presented. The work successfully demonstrates theoretically and experimentally that multilayer perceptrons approximate better than generalized linear models. Modification of multilayer perceptron estimated distribution function of total claim. Analysis performed by Kohonen map and by subsequent visualization detected two significant clusters. Analysis by Fuzzy ART network is presented as a part of new algorithm for reduction of input space's dimension. New algorithm inspired by Fuzzy ARTMAP network discovered a group of accidents where the claim is above average. This group is delimited by interpretable rules. Attached CD contains scripts for Matlab and MySQL that was used for mentioned analyses.

Dostálová, Kateřina ; Stejskal, Vojtěch (referee) ; Franková, Martina (referee)
This diploma thesis deals with legal regulation of creation and protection of Natura 2000 network. Natura 2000 is a system of protected areas created in Member States of the European Union which is aimed at preservation and potential renewal of natural habitats and rare and threatened species of wild fauna and flora. The objective of the creation of Natura 2000 network is to ensure the diversity of species and ecosystems, primarily the rare and threatened ones. The network is composed of the Special Protection Areas (SPAs) designated on the basis of the Birds Directive and of the Special Areas of Conservation (SAC) designated according to the Habitats Directive. The introductory chapter deals with historical development of the nature conservation on the Czech territory up to the present and as follows it gives an explanation of the term the Natura 2000 network. The chapter 2 is devoted to the most significant international conventions related to Natura 2000. The Bern Convention has even inspired some articles of the regulation included in the Directives. The chapter 3 is focused on the European legal regulation of nature and biodiversity protection.
