Comparison between Czech Republic and Great Britain in preparation for a child with a disability

The bachelor's thesis entitled "Comparison of the preparation of teaching assistants for working with children with disabilities in the Czech Republic and Great Britain" focuses on comparing how teaching assistants are trained in selected countries using the analysis (of a semi-structured interview) with teaching assistants from both the Czech Republic and Great Britain. In parallel there is also a focus on comparing the strengths and weaknesses of this profession. The structure of the thesis is divided into a theoretical and a practical part. The theoretical part consists of four chapters that compare legislative documents related to inclusion, support measures in education, support measures in the form of teaching assistant and their qualifications. The practical part contains an analysis (using a semi-structured interviews) of teaching assistants from the Czech Republic and Great Britain with the results of the analysis presented. The practical part also contains a comparison of legislative documents, decrees, and school laws, integral to develop the theoretical sections in the form of data/tables. According to the results of the analysis, preparation for the performance of a profession in the Czech Republic and Great Britain is similar in many ways; yet a significant difference was highlighted in the length of compulsory work placement within the qualification course for teaching assistants.
Causes Of unfinished secondary school studies of socialy disadvantaged female students

The topic of this thesis is the causes of non-completion of secondary school studies of socially disadvantaged students. The focus is on mapping the causes of three major areas that contribute to the dropout of female students with social disadvantages, namely school, family and leisure time. The thesis is devided in five main chapters, of which the first two chapters are theoretical, while the following chapters are devoted to the empirical part. The first chapter focuses on secondary education and selected specifics of adolescence. This chapter describes the adolescence period, secondary education and subsequently academic failure. The second chapter is devoted to the specificities of education of pupils with social disadvantages, focusing on the causes and problem areas of social exclusion and on systemic support for pupils with social disadvantages. The main aim of the thesis is to find out the reasons for the non- completion of secondary education of girls with social disadvantages. Gifted students in basic school

The central theme of this work is the issue of gifted and exceptionally gifted pupils and their education in primary schools. The theoretical part of the work deals with terminology, models of giftedness, characteristic manifestations of gifted students, cognitive and non-intellectual features and a specific group of gifted children, which consists mainly of students with double exceptionality and underperformance. It also analyzes the educational and educational needs of the gifted, provides an overview of legislative documents related to it, and presents approaches recommended by experts that can be effectively applied to gifted students in compulsory school education. The aim of the research part is to analyze the experiences of pedagogues - educational advisors - with gifted pupils at primary schools in the Rychnov nad Kněžnou region, through self-constructed questionnaires, at the same time to analyze their attitudes, approaches and orientation in the issue, as well as how nomination and identification of these pupils takes place and how they are supported in their education. Teacher's cooperation and teacher assistant in educational process of pupils with special educational needs

The topic of the bachelor thesis is focused on the support measures of the teaching assistant with a profile on the cooperation between the teacher and the teaching assistant in the education of pupils with special educational needs. The aim of the bachelor thesis is to elaborate the current knowledge related to the above mentioned topic of the thesis and then to describe effective and functional ways of cooperation from the participants point of view. The thesis is divided into two main parts. A theoretical part and a practical part. In the first part, the theoretical basis of the mentioned issue is elaborated into 3 chapters. The first chapter deals with the profession of teaching assistant and the proposal of changes in relation to the amendment of the Education Act. The second chapter focuses on the system of education of pupils with special educational needs and the last chapter is devoted to the cooperation between the teaching assistant and the teacher. The second part of the thesis includes the questionnaire survey itself, supplemented by qualitative research in the form of semi-structured interviews. A total of 873 respondents took part in the questionnaire survey. Subsequently, one teaching assistant and one teacher were interviewed. The research investigation shows that functional cooperation occurs primarily when there is mutual communication, when the teacher and assistant understand each other and are tuned to the same wave, when rules are set out and the competences of the participants in the cooperation are determined, and when there is sufficient trust and mutual respect between them. Joint preparation and consultation are important for effective collaboration, and attention should also be paid to the equal and partner relationship. At the heart of it all is the willingness and interest to cooperate. The results of the questionnaire survey were subsequently confirmed in interviews with the teacher and the assistant.

The diploma thesis is focused on the issue of successful education and communication with a child of preschool age with a disorder of social and emotional development. On the readiness of pedagogues to educate and raise disadvantaged children in this way, but also on the ability of preliminary diagnosis and subsequently the possibility of effective action in the educational and educational process. The introductory chapters deal with the theoretical starting points, which are the basis for the following research part of the thesis. The first part of this work is focused on inclusive education and related concepts. Furthermore, the legislative framework is mapped, which defines pre- school education from a legal point of view, counseling workplaces and some supporting measures related to the law. Subsequently, the healthy development of the child in the social and emotional area is outlined, as well as possible categories of disorders of social and emotional development. In more detail, the diploma thesis focuses on Asperger's syndrome, which is one of the forms of autism spectrum disorders. Integrating children with special need into the standart kindergarten program

The bachelor thesis deals with inclusion of children in need of support into ordinary kindergarten. The goal of the submitted bachelor thesis was to find out how the inclusion of children in need of support goes into specific kindergarten from the perspective of parents and teachers. The component goal was to find out how the parents and teachers rate the inclusive education and how they see the inclusion in the preschool education The results of investigation should serve to improving of conditions of inklusive education in specific kindergafrten. Also, they may serve to the public for orientation how the inclusion of children in need of support goes and which support measures may be provided.
The implementation of physical education for pupils with visual impairment in mainstream primary school education.

The bachelor's thesis deals with the implementation of physical education for visually impaired pupils in mainstream primary schools. The work is divided into a theoretical part and a practical part. In the theoretical part, the reader will learn what visual impairment means and how visual impairment can be compensated by hearing, smell, touch and taste. They will also learn about the development of a visually impaired child, whether it is the development of cognitive functions, movement or social development. The theoretical part is divided into 2 basic parts, where the second part is the system of education of visually impaired students. The practical part is focused on 3 visually impaired pupils who attend mainstream primary school. A semi-standardized interview was conducted with these pupils, their parents and teachers. There is also a description of a physical education class, which was part of the research of this work.
Education of Pupils with Special Educational Needs at Waldorf Schools

The bachelor thesis addresses the issue of educating students with a different mother tongue (DMT) in the environment of a Czech elementary Waldorf-type school. The theoretical part defines a student with special educational needs. Next, Waldorf education is described. The research part of the thesis was implemented using a qualitative type of research. The research group included teaching staff who directly participated in the educational process of DMT students.
Parent´s attitude to inclusion in kindergarten

The Bachelor's thesis deals with parent's attitudes to inclusion in kindergarten. The aim is to map parent's attitudes to inclusion in kindergarten in a small town and to map a support that kindergarten provides parents to create positive attitudes. The theoretical part of the thesis includes basic areas of the theme - inclusion, legaslation, attitudes to inclusion and their forming. The practical part of the thesis presents and analyses qualitative data obtein by interviews with parents and teachers.
Educational counseling at elementary school with regard to pupils with special educational needs

The aim of the bachelor thesis is to map guidance counseling at the primary school in Hluboká nad Vltavou with regards to pupils with special educational needs and educational problems. The theoretical part contains the history of guidance counseling, the concept of guidance counseling, legal framework and legislation, school counseling services and description of pupil with special educational needs. The aim of the practical part is to orientate and present the activities of the guidance counselor, also to present the Plan of the guidance counselor at the Elementary School Hluboká nad Vltavou. To focus attention on the Strategy for the Prevention of School Failure and to find out with what spectrum of pupils with special educational needs they work, these goals were achieved with the help of research questions.
