Diplomová práce se zabývá problematikou vzdělávání žáků s mentálním postižením v prostředí běžných základních škol. Cílem práce je popsat a ověřit systém edukace ve třídě zřízené pro žáky s lehkým mentálním postižením a zhodnotit význam této třídy v rámci běžné základní školy. Teoretická část práce se věnuje charakteristice mentálního postižení, zabývá se školní legislativou, srovnává systémy vzdělávání žáků se speciálními vzdělávacími potřebami v sousedních zemích a popisuje edukační postupy a metody ve vzdělávaní osob s lehkým mentálním postižením. Praktická část je realizována jednou z metod kvalitativního výzkumu, kterou je případová studie. Výzkum je uskutečněn formou pozorování ve třídě zřízené podle § 16 odst. 9, další informace jsou získány na základě polostrukturovaných rozhovorů s pedagogy školy a rodiči žáků. Závěry šetření nabízejí charakteristiku dané třídy, její specifika a možnosti. The diploma thesis deals with the issue of education of pupils with intellectual disabilities in the environment of regular elementary schools. The aim of the thesis is to describe and verify the system of education in a class set up for pupils with mild intellectual disabilities and to evaluate the importance of this class within a regular primary school. The theoretical part of the work is devoted to the characteristics of intellectual disabilities, deals with school legislation, compares the education systems of pupils with special educational needs in neighboring countries and describes educational procedures and methods in the education of people with mild intellectual disabilities. The practical part is implemented by one of the methods of qualitative research, which is a case study. The research is carried out in the form of observations in the classroom set up according to § 16, paragraph 9, additional information is obtained on the basis of semi-structured interviews with schoolteachers and parents of pupils. The conclusions of the investigation offer the characteristics of the given class, its specifics and possibilities.
