Quality assurance of education in organizations providing further vocational education Dagmar Urbanová ABSTRACT The aim of the thesis is to analyze the possibilities of assurance of quality in private organizations providing adult professional education in the Czech Republic and to find out whether and with what impact these possibilities are currently used. The theoretical part puts continuing professional education into the context of lifelong learning, outlines the historical development of this segment of education, recalls important documents, organizations, and events that advocate autonomy, development and spreading of awareness of the importance of continuing professional education. In the second chapter of the theoretical part, the current possible tools and methods for the management and evaluation of the quality of adult education are defined and described. The research part uses a questionnaire survey to explore what methods for the improving the quality of their services the organizations providing adult education use, what the applied methods give to them, what requirements they impose to their instructors and the overall role played by the quality in their activities. 1 Third-age education: Its desirability, quality, and development Bc. Soňa Kalousková, DiS. The object of this diploma thesis is to examine the state of affairs in the third-age education in the Czech Republic, with regard to University of the Third Age (U3A), focusing especially to Charles University and Pedagogical Faculty of Charles University. On the basis of the results to reach conclusions concerning the question how the management of education can contribute to the development of U3A. The topic was chosen because of the researcher's interest in this issue. In the theoretical part, the necessary knowledge about lifelong learning and third-age education is presented, and the topic of ageing society is explained. The following practical part consists of sociological research with quantitative research, with usage of electronic and printed questionnaires and a regulated interview, which aims to map the state of affairs in U3A, its quality and possibilities of its further development. Development of Elementary Education in Zavratec and Surrounding other Towns between 1815-1918

of the diploma thesis The diploma thesis focuses on the analysis of historical development of system of education in a particular region in the context of historical influences. The thesis is formally divided into two parts. The first is descriptive and deals with the process of formation of elementary schools from their historical origins untill the first half of 19th century. Particular attention is devoted to essential education reforms and to socio- economical status of teachers. The second part of the thesis focuses on the history of local schools in Závratec and its surroundigs between 1820 and 1918. With the application of microanalytical method, there is a description of particular social situations and historical contexts of the establishment and development of one of the elementary schools.
Audit of the education system of the Czech Republic and its critical analysis

The dissertation deals with the critical analysis of the audit of the education system of the Czech Republic, issued in 2014 by EDUin non-profit organization. The theoretical part de- scribes basic characteristics of the education system in the context of the level of the Czech education phenomenon. The aim of the dissertation is to analyse the bases and sources which were used to elaborate the audit of the education system and to make comparison with stra- tegic and other relevant documents. The aim will be achieved on the basis of the results of research, the relevance of the audit, presented by EDUin organization, will be confirmed or disproved. The interview with the authors of the audit and the analysis of documents are research methods and techniques. The interview with authors of the audit brings the answers to the questions of the research survey: "What is the audit of the education system and why did EDUin organization issue the audit?"The authors feature motivational impulses, which encouraged them to issue the audit, and clarify the main aims of the audit. This thesis deals with the recent issue of increased number of university students. It entails the problematic success on the labor market or reduction of quality of the particular studies. This research focuses not only on the Czech Republic region but also on some other chosen countries contending with the very similar issue. This thesis follows the analogous paper of Jan Keller and Lubor Tvrdý: "Vzdělanostní společnost? Chrám, výtah a pojišťovna". Classical statistical research and questionnaire survey were employed as the key methods of answering the main inquiries.
Capacities of elementary schools in the hinterland of the big cities in the Czech Republic

Capacities of elementary schools in the hinterland of the big cities presents actual problem of Czech educational system and no sufficient specialized attention is paid to it, except it has significant impact to the quality of education in these localities. Moreover it can support the inequalities in education. Therefore this diploma thesis offers complex view of investigated issue. The benefits of this work lies especially in the effort to indicate discussion about this topic, which no experts pay special attention to. The main goal is to describe the research problem, to clarify all the causes and consequences of the insufficient capacities in elementary schools problem and find out what is the extent of the problem in the hinterland of Prague. Primary and secondary data was used to achieve these goals. The overall research concept is based on mixed research technique. This diploma thesis finds out what is the current status of elementary schools education system in the hinterland of the big cities and what are causes and consequences of insufficient capacity problem of elementary schools with both quantitative and qualitative methods. This diploma thesis deals with current topic of lack of capacity of public nurseries and sketches possibilities of establishment of company nurseries as another way of preschools in the theoretical part. The diploma thesis makes an effort to summarize basic factors which can influence establishment and development of these company nurseries. Emphasis is put on importance of preschool education. The research part describes poossibilities of establishment and operation of company nurseries, finds out current development a identifies factors which influence their establlishment and operations. The research part is also focused on quality of education in these company nurseries. The qualitative research was used to achieve the research goal, the main method used to achieve the goal was multiple-case study.
Looking into and Evaluation Quality, Efficiency and Effects of Further Education

Looking into and Evaluation Quallity, Efficiency and Effects of Further Education A thesis centers upon description and comparison of methods that gain a feedback in the field of the quality of further education. It considers both institutions providing further education and institutions/organisations (e.g. schools, offices of public administration) representing source of participants of further education courses. A theoretical part the thesis compares well known methods reporting on the quality and effectivity of further education in a view of both a provider and a customer. A research aims for an analysis of gaining a feedback in the field of further education from 50 providing institutions and 340 institutions/organizations in a role of a customer. Those 340 institutions/organizations include 32 offices of public administrative and another 308 publicly figuring organizations (e.g. schools). This part of the thesis also presents positives and negatives of chosen methods. A conclusion of the thesis summarizes findings and provides recommendations for both surveyed groups.

The thesis "School self-evaluation and transformation of school education programmes" deals with elementary school self-evaluation. It is primarily focused on analyzing outcomes of self-evaluation activities that are indtended to develop schools and adjust school education programmes. The research is based on interviews with directors and teachers from elementary schools in Prague and could be used as an overview of the current state of Czech schools. It also offers recommendations for improving schools.
