Classrooms with LGBT students: case studies
Vlková, Veronika ; Smetáčková, Irena (advisor) ; Frombergerová, Anna (referee)
AJ This diploma thesis deals with secondary school class groups, where are students with a minority sexual orientation/students from the LGBT+ community. In the class collectives, peer relationships and the functioning of this entire class collective is examined with the attitude towards the LGBT community. In this diploma thesis, the focus is on the entire class collectives, not only on students with a minority sexual orientation/from the LGBT+ community or, conversely, students with a heterosexual orientation/cisgender identity. The research was conducted in the form of 2 case studies, specifically, a questionnaire survey, semi-structured interviews with a few randomly selected students and semi-structured interviews with class teachers were used. The goal of the research was not only to describe the entire class group, but also to grasp the LGBT+ topic more comprehensively and understand the situation that is based on the presence of a student from the LGBT+ community in the class group - from the point of view of students from the LGBT+ community, as well as students with a majority sexual orientation/identity. The research shows that good or functional peer relationships do not necessarily mean a positive attitude towards the LGBT+ community and vice versa. Students in both class groups...
Numerical study of classroom ventilation and its effect on the spread of harmful substances
Klusáček, Ondřej ; Prinz, František (referee) ; Elcner, Jakub (advisor)
The thesis deals with the numerical simulation of the effect of ventilation on the spread of pollutants in a classroom using the STAR-CCM+ program. The aim of the thesis was to create a realistic 3D model of the classroom, to select a suitable multiphase flow model, to evaluate the spread of pollutants under different forms of operation and to select the most efficient ventilation method. Using a Lagrangian multiphase flow model, the pollutant volume fraction was compared for each type of operation. The numerical solution was validated by means of an experiment carried out in identical rooms and under the same ventilation conditions. The resulting temperature and velocity fields in the classroom are also presented in the paper. Mechanical ventilation was found to be the most effective of the chosen methods. If the infected individual sits closer to the windows or doors, there is a lower risk of infection in the room
Classroom climate in kindergarten
BOUBALÍKOVÁ, Andrea

Analysis of a social adaptation of handicapped students at specialised high school
Pokorná, Jitka ; Janošová, Pavlína (advisor) ; Syslová, Hana (referee)
In the theoretical part of this diploma thesis I dealt with the analysis of social adaptation of students with disabilities in high school with a special focus. I was interested in factors related to this issue. I tried to point out the possible pros and cons of involving these students in a special high school environment. I also pointed out the risk factors in the educational needs and limits of students with specific types of disabilities. The thesis also contains some recommendations for a suitable educational approach. The practical part contains research that was conducted qualitatively. For this purpose I chose the method of semi-structured interviews with nine respondents (students of one class from high school with a special focus), the age range of students was 18-28 years. I believe that thanks to the chosen procedure I had the opportunity to find out in more detail how students with disabilities subjectively perceive the environment in which they study, how they perceive ties in the class team, what support they see in their teachers and how they perceive the educational process at this particular school. Also where do students see possible obstacles or shortcomings and how they perceive evaluation (classic form of marking). The results of the interviews showed that students with...
Form lessons as a part of school strategies supporting contentment and safety feeling in primary school pupils.
Hypšová, Nikola ; Kovaříková, Miroslava (advisor) ; Záhořová, Karolína (referee)
The diploma thesis is focused on the importance of properly managed classroom classes, in terms of their impact on building good relationships in the classroom and creating a pleasant environment in primary school. It deals with their function, importance and benefit for individuals, and therefore for the whole team, including the class teacher. The content of this work also deals, for example, with the correct compilation of class rules, which contribute to the creation of a confidential and relaxed atmosphere in the class team, in which students are not afraid to speak and cooperate. Furthermore, the work clarifies why and how class classes should be held and what topics are appropriate to include in their thematic plans. The main goal of the thesis is to find out whether the classroom classes contribute to the creation of a safe and relaxed environment at the Elementary School Zdice u Berouna. To verify this goal, I will use qualitative methods, namely structured observation of students' groups during class classes and structured interviews. Both qualitative methods take place on the grounds of Zdice Elementary School. They will conduct interviews with teachers who hold regular classroom classes and with selected pupils with whom their teachers practice these classes. Two different sets of...
Communication between a family and a school directed to the contemporary elementary schools
Rychterová, Kateřina ; Krčmářová, Tereza (advisor) ; Kargerová, Jana (referee)
The aim of this work is to determine whether communication with incomplete/"uncooperative" family is from the perspective of teachers more difficult. What problems may be in communication with the family of the student, how can they be prevented, where necessary, to deal with. In the second part to find out what kind of impact it has on the mutual communication of the teacher and the legal representative the pupil evaluation in the form of the word guest. The task is to suggest possible strategies for mutual communication with parents of children at 1. level of primary school. In the solution a questionnaire survey and interviews with teachers and parents was used. Carried out research, I discovered that at the aimed school is almost 100% of teachers meets with problem/"non-cooperating" parents. Verbal evaluation of the results of an investigation has the mainly positive influence to the comunication. At the same time, motivates the student to better outcomes. On the basis of the findings of the results, teachers can further improve the relations between family and school, or more involved verbal evaluation, which improves communication between the two parties. The main result is to obtain the symbol "The parents welcome".
