In the theoretical part I deal with explanation of terms as self-konception, self-respect, prestige and social status of the profession. Since the prestige of the profession influences besides other things historical development of professions, I have been also interested in the history of nursing. In the practical part I have found out nurses' opinion to view their financial assessment with regard to educational achievement and job description and their opinion on membership in a particular social group. I also wonder, as a general nurse assesses the media image of their profession and what is most troubling to him. I also tried to determine what is the most common motivation for general nurses to remain in their profession. For this project, I have chosen the technique of quantitative research, the method of anonymous questionnaire of my own design. Research conducted in the period from 1st October to 15th October 2011. Projective techniques and work with symbols as a tool for personality development
Bobek, Milan ; Niederlová, Markéta (advisor) ; Šípek, Jiří (referee)
The work focuses on qualitative research of possibilities and limits of the use of picture cards symbols (including Tarot) that would serve the clients in coaching and therapy as a projective technique leading to their deeper self-knowledge and personal development. Respondents told their life story based on picture cards. We show here under what conditions this projective technique brought them new information and inspiration for their self- development, in what forms the method can be applied and what methodical procedures are most effective. The simple clients' description of the selected images did not bring them much substantially new. It began to be more inspirational for them when a consultant added targeted questions, his reflections and hypothetical interpretations, or even explained standard meanings of symbols. Then this technique started to speak to clients more and brought them new impulses. Even more inspiring for them it became, once an element of chance was incorporated - when they pulled out some cards at random. The thesis finally formulates detailed recommended general methodology for projective technique application for personal growth and discusses possibilities and limits of the use of projective methods in coaching, therapy and personal development seminars.

The aim of this work is to describe the duality, or hybridity of identity based on the blending of two distinct identities, namely Czech and Jewish identity. There is also an effort to transcribe the self-reflection bearers of these identities in their everyday lives. This work relies on the work of several prominent authors handling with social, or ethnic identity, and also on earlier research conducted by Dana Bittnerová on national and ethnic minorities living in the Czech Republic. The basis of this work is anthropological fieldwork, which focused primarily on members of one particular group, which is part of the Prague community. This group is called Czech Union of Jewish youth. This research was consisted of participant observation organized events or events arising spontaneously and of interviews with selected respondents. It is shown that for all the observed, Jewishness and Czechness are an integral part of their identities, of whom they are. And that these two identities are closely intertwined. Does consciousness exhaust the nature of thought? The meaning of Descartes's term "cogitare"
Sedláková, Jana ; Palkoska, Jan (advisor) ; Švec, Ondřej (referee)
The aim of this thesis is to deal with the problems which arise from interpretations of Descartes' term "cogitare". It concentrates on the deconstruction of the orthodox interpretations which explain the term "cogitare" as "to be conscious". The thesis aims at introducing three alternative interpretations from Czech academic environment, the one of James Hill, of Petr Glombíček, and of Tomáš Marvan. I would like to refer to the problems of orthodox reading as well as to benefits and losses of the other interpretations. I will proceed through analysis of sensory perceptions, emotions and dream. The purpose of the thesis is not to find the definite meaning of "cogitare", but to make the readers familiar with these problems and their interpretations which I find more plausible than the orthodox interpretation. The term "consciousness" is a complex term which needs to be explained in order to be capable of explaining other philosophical problems. Keywords: Descartes, thinking, consciousness, sensory perceptions, emotions, dream, self-reflection, judgment, propositional content

Title: Problem Posing Process: Comparison of Posers on Various Levels of Experience Author: PhDr. Eva Patáková Department: Department of Math. And Math. Education, Pedagogical Faculty, Charles University in Prague Supervisor: doc. RNDr. Jaroslav Zhouf, Ph.D. Abstract: The aim of the thesis is to compare the problem posing process of problem posers on various experience levels: Novices have no experience, specialists pose problems but not more than their teachers profession requires, experts pose problems profesionally, e.g. for Mathematical competitions. There were two phases of the research - both of them consisting of the pilot phase and the main study. The participants posed difficult and original Mathematical problems for approximately 15-year-old students. In the first phase methods derived from the grounded theory were used to analyze self-reflections, questionnaires and other written materials of problem posers. The second phase was based on qualitative analysis of videotyped problem posing process of respondents. The problem posing process of the three groups of respondents was different. With increasing level of experience the ratio of intentional ideas increased as well as the ratio of posers finding inspiration in the existing problem. Opinion to how a good problem should look like is also different for...
