Exercise with elderly in residential home with special regime

Title: Exercise with seniors in a retirement home with a special regime Objective: The main aim of the study was to determine whether seniors with cognitive impairment experience improvements that have a statistical significance in selected components of physical fitness after a three-month exercise program. Furthermore, it was checked whether regular physical activity changes their attitude towards exercise. Methods: The study involved 9 probands (3 of them male) aged 72 to 90 years with cognitive impairment. The probands completed a three-month program (April-June 2022) in which they performed group and seated chair exercises twice a week for sixty minutes. At the beginning and end of the intervention program, they underwent an orientation fitness assessment using the senior fitness test and a questionnaire form on health limitations and attitudes toward exercise. Results: The results of the senior fitness test showed that there was a statistically significant improvement in the parameters of lower limb strength, and agility with dynamic balance. Some improvement was seen in the other parameters, but without the statistical significance. Most probands showed a positive change in their attitude towards physical activity. Physical education depending on the type of kindergarten

The aim of the thesis was to determine whether there were differences in the physical education of nursery schools in the town and in the village. The theoretical part is devoted to the Framework Educational Program for Preschool Education, the developmental characteristics of preschool children, movement activities in kindergarten, development of children in relation to movement activities, mobility skills and abilities. The research investigation was carried out in the form of a questionnaire. Variations were found in exercise areas, physical aids, filling and time subsidy of physical education, movement skills of children when they entered nursery school and acquired movement skills when they left for primary school. The results of the survey were subsequently compiled into graphs and show minimal differences in physical education of nursery schools in the town and in the village. Based on the answers, an interview was compiled that was conducted with two kindergarten educators. The practical part is focused on results processing of anthropometric measurements and motorial tests regard to the various movement mode.

Title: Influence of Physical Activity over Self-care and Quality of Life of Elderly People Living at Home Objectives: The main objectives of this thesis are measuring the level of the physical activities of elderly people living at home and the analysis of the influence of these activities on their independence in everyday activities and on their quality of life. Methods: For research I choose a questionnaire survey as main metod. To collect data for the research I used physical activity questionnaire which I created specifically for this thesis, Barthel Index the standardized self-care test, SQUALA questionnaire measuring the quality of live. To verify my hypothesis I statistically evaluated the outcomes of the tests and questionnaires. For this purpose I used the descriptive statistics in the computer program Microsoft Office Excell. Physical activities of students in special primary schools in the central Bohemian region

1 Abstract Title of the thesis: Physical activities of students in special primary schools in the central Bohemian region Aim of the study: The aim of the thesis is a comprehensive survey of physical activities provided by special primary schools in the Central Bohemian region. Method: We used a method of an empirical research. We studied a representative sample of special primary schools located in the Central Bohemia region in order to ascertain characteristics of the objects of observation. The variant of research was a status method. The method of data collection was a questionnaire. Results: The results of the research show a different range of physical activities offered by schools included in our study. The structure of physical education lessons is rich and follows the needs of their students. 90 % of schools organize one-day- programmes focused on physical activities. 70% of schools organize programmes lasting more days, 30 % of schools do not organize programmes of this kind. 70 % of schools offer no sports courses. Health promotion policy of school-age children in the area of nutrition and physical activities

This thesis deals with the health promotion policy of school-age children in the area of nutrition and physical activities, and identifies the most serious problems related to this field of health policy. It also focuses on the main problems associated with the lifestyle of school-age children in the Czech Republic. Proper eating habits and good relationship to physical activities are formed from an early age, so it is necessary in the terms of health promotion to focus mainly on children and their education to a healthy lifestyle. This creates possibilities to achieve an overall improvement in the health status of population. To fulfill the goals of this thesis, secondary data from documents that are related to the observed problem were used together with primary data from qualitative research, which was conducted by expert interviews. School-age children in the Czech Republic do not comply with the dietary guidelines or recommendations for physical activity proccesed by WHO. Skiing and snowboarding at first grade of elementary

This academic work deals with children who are school age or younger school age and their interest in skiing and snowboarding. It tries to expose the reason of decreasing attendance at ski courses offered by schools. The research made by questionnaire shows that most of the children attending lower grades of elementary schools do some sport. They would also like to attend the ski course but they often listed finances as the obstacle. The results of interviews made with teachers of elementary schools and high schools display that only the children who had experienced winter sports either before entering elementary school or soon after entering school want to participate. This work considers as important placing the ski courses at the first grade of the elementary schools. The number of children interested in winter sports would increase. Movement options in individuals with dyslexia

This research bachelor thesis titled "Physical Options in Dyslexic Individuals" highlights the issue of this specific learning disorder. It summarizes current knowledge about dyslexia in physiotherapy, rehabilitation and other appropriate physical activities. The work is divided into three parts. The theoretical part describes dyslexia within other specific learning disorders, determines its definition, typology and the search for causes of its origin. Herein, it depicts the knowledge in terms of building diversity and the functioning of the CNS and the reading process. The next section focuses on the secondary manifestations of this disorder. The special part deals with dyslexia in the context of physiotherapy, its influence on postural control. It compares current methods that try to move their postural system, movement skills and the disorder itself. This part offers an overview of appropriate therapies and activities for dyslectics. The last practical part is focused on the influence of dyslexia on the postural system of these individuals. The content is an indikative examination that compares 12 dyslectic individuals with each other. Physical activities of older school aged children in a weekly regime

This bachelor thesis presents an integration of the physical activities into the weekly regime of older school aged children. The main research is focused at comparing children from two elementary schools, one located in the center of Prague and the other one on the outskirts of the capital city, with considering their sporting and physical interests. The theoretical part deals with the necessity to incorporate the physical activities for this age category into their daily life, describes appropriate (or inappropriate) sports activities and health complications resulting from a lack of movement. In the practical part of the thesis, the questionnaire research compares the frequency of the children's physical activities integration in two mentioned elementary schools. Then follow an analysis of the data collected and a final summary of the thesis issue. The purpose of my bachelor thesis is to compare and find out in which geographical areas the older school aged children incorporate more physical activities into their lives, so basically whether are children from a big town center or a small town district better off.
