Radio reportage from traditional harvests in the Vysočina region

The essence of this bachelor's thesis is to present the genre of radio reportage and its practical processing during the grain harvest also called žně. In the first part of the thesis, the author gives a theoretical introduction to the reportage genre and at the same time discusses its development on the domestic scene up to the present day. The thesis also describes the topic of the grain harvest, about which the author made a fifteen-minute long audio report. The second half defines the process of preparation for the shoot, the course of the shoot and the subsequent post-production. During the latter, the soundtracks were sorted and cleaned so that they could be worked with in the final editing.
Comparative analysis of professional texts on computer science

Cílem této bakalářské práce je srovnávací analýza odborných textů z oblasti informatiky. Jako téma pro materiály byla zvolena technologie VxLAN, která je nejčastěji používána v datových centrech. Prvním textem pro analýzu je článek z webového časopisu, druhým je technická dokumentace Request for Comments (RFC), třetím je video přednáška. Hlavním cílem této práce je prozkoumat vybrané materiály z různých pohledů a určit, do jaké míry se texty, psané a mluvené, liší v použití jazyka a jaké jsou jejich společné rysy. K dosažení tohoto cíle jsou materiály zkoumány z hlediska několika diskurzních rysů, mezi které patří funkce jazyka, styl a žánr, koheze, koherence a deixe. Práce se také zaměřuje na zjištění, zda jsou analyzované materiály typickými představiteli svých žánrů a stylů.
Analysis of the popularly educational broadcast by internet television Stream: Gebrian Vs and its comparison with similar tv shows on the same topic on other tv platforms

The diploma thesis is devoted to freshly emerging TV shows about architecture and public space on the platforms of the two biggest internet TVs in the Czech Republic: Stream.cz and MALL.TV. The work specifically analyzes the following broadcasts: Gebrian VS, Gebrian: Surprising Buildings, Gebrian: PLUS/MINUS, in terms of their distinctive formats. The main purpose of the thesis is to point out the existence of these programs and to identify the formal and genre aspects that shape their unique form. The important part of the research is carried out by comparing the shows based on the platforms on which they are created and which provide different conditions for production. The following theoretical foundations were used: genre theory, presentation of specific genres related to the examined programs, media convergence and internet TVs and their recent production. The qualitative elements, including the visual communication means, which lead to the recognition of the genre construction of a specific TV show, are examined by combined visual and semiotic analysis. Repetition and paradox of genre fiction

The Bachelor thesis is concerned with the issue of the paradox of genre fiction which was presented by Deborah Knight. This paradox is based on the question why the readers and the viewers are spending their time by reading and watching stories they are already familiar with so they know what the stories will be about and how will they end. The author is proceeding from Noël Carroll's similar paradox of junk fiction. First part of the text is occupying with the characterization of the aesthetic experience, the principle of repetition in the works of art and the definition of the term of genre. After that in the second part the particular conditions of the paradox are verified.
"Holiday" short story genre in A. P. Chekhov's writings

TITLE: "Holiday" short story genre in A. P. Chekhov's writings SUMMARY: In its theoretical part, this thesis gives an overview of origination and progression of Christmas and Easter short poem genre on the background of Russian Orthodox culture. Main object of this work's practial part is characterization and description of progression of so- called "holiday" short story in the work of A. P. Čechov. Divided into seven thematic groups, short stories are by means of interpretation put into contrast against the Christmas and Easter short story prototype of the last third of 19th century. Using the original quotations of short stories texts the creative modifications of nowadays classical genre are explained: new narrative techniques, modern lyrical view of the world and last but not least the ideal of humanistic view of man. What do the novels start with ? To the poetics of incipit: based on the czech novels of the 20th century

This bachelor's thesis is focused on incipit of selected Czech novels of the twentieth century. This thesis deals with narrative work. The aim of the work is to analyze specific novel's beginnings, try to interpret them, to say what they signalize and to imply correlation of the incipit with the rest of the novel. The first chapter is dealing with the novel's beginnings in general. The author wants to refer to theoretical sources, which will become the base for the analysis of the chosen novel's incipit. The most important part is to define the term incipit as the entrance to the text world. That is the borderline of fiction and reality. The task of the incipit is to draw the reader into the fiction world of a novel. The incipit stops to be the incipit in the certain place of the book, the place where the reader is completely drown into the text world and where there is a point of no return. Each of the following chapters is focusing on the incipit of each of the book individually: Temno, Marketa Lazarova, Osudy dobreho vojaka Svejka za svetove valky, Hordubal, Zbabelci, Pribeh inzenyra lidskych dusi, Nesnesitelna lehkost byti and Obsluhoval jsem anglickeho krale. Bachelor thesis The Documentary Cycle of Czech Television - The Czech Journal focuses on the first three series of this cycle (premiere between 2013 and 2015). Fifteen documentary films (Život a smrt v Tanvaldu, Rozezlení, Pančovaná republika, Spřízněni přímou volbou, Svobodu pro Smetanu, Dělníci bulváru, Gadžo, Zločin pana Chytila, Já, horník!, Obnažený národ, Pět zrození, Matrix AB, Ubytovny, Blízký daleký východ a Má vlast Afghánistán) are analyzed in terms of qualitative, quantitative, form and genre. In particular, exploring the genres of individual films is crucial for the work. The starting point for exploration is the genre fluctuations of the Czech Journal between the television journalistic reportage and the documentary film. The three chapters of the bachelor's thesis evaluate this topic first from a terminological point of view, then from a formal and ultimately analytical one. The methods used for the chosen examination are represented by quantitative content analysis of the films (list of identifying features, etc.), but especially by qualitative analysis. Teen movies and self-reflection of genre

Diploma thesis "Teen movies and self-reflection of genre." examines if and how the principle of self-reflection of genre is influencing the genre of teen movies and its development. It is based on the theoretical concept from literary theory that sees self-reflection as a means of development and evolution of genre. The research is based on two American teen movies, Princess Diaries and Hunger Games. It employs the use of qualitative research methods, thematic analysis and narrative analysis. Theoretical section of this thesis resumes current sociological concepts of youth and adolescence, the development of American teen movies, the concept of self-reflection as an instrument for development and transformation of genre and ways in which self-reflexion is portrayed or included in cinema. Metamorphoses of Narrator in Novels of Jaromír John This diploma paper focuses on the function of the narrator and his various forms in John's prosaic work. It deals with the issue of the construction of the fictional world and how the narrator influences the reader's understanding of the described events. Primarily, we try to compare the narrative categories of the main contemporary concepts as influenced by Shlomith Rimmon-Kenan, Franz Stanzel and Lubomír Doležel. It is our terminology base. Theoretical understanding of the narrator is the basis for the analysis of John's fiction from the aspect of narrative types applied to a selected sample of author's works: the anthology of the tales with war theme Večery na slamníku, novels Moudrý Engelbert, Výbušný zlotvor, Pampovánek, Honda Cibulků; marginally Estét and other works. Concurrently this work aims to describe construction methods that are typical for John's creative style - it is mainly the use of irony, the principle of collage and documentary elements. It shows that the author's work at that time belonged to the experimental stream of Czech prose. Also, we observe the relationship between author's prose work and his aesthetic concept.
