Plachá, Pavlína ; Kafková, Helena (advisor) ; Daniel, Ladislav (referee)
The diploma thesis on the topic Role of crafts in pre-primary education is focused mainly on the examination of two approaches to handcraft activities in kindergartens - polytechnic education and the craft concept of working with materials. The aim od the theoretical part is to present the role of craft activities in pre-primary education through individual chapters that are related to research. The craft concept of working with material is described here as a holistic craft process that is neither strictly technological nor purely artistic, and we should therefore perceive it as an area in which these fields intertwine. The practical part is focused on the research itself. It presents the aims of the thesis, research questions and research methods. The thesis has two main goals: to analyze the examined documents and find in them the differences in the values represented by them and the goals of the given approaches; implement a project in a kindergarten, which will be further described and reflected on by the method of reflective practice. The conclusion of the practical part is mainly devoted to summarizing the results of the research, from which it is known that small, but still significant differences can be found between the goals of the investigated approaches to handcraft activities in...

It uses methodology based on the principles of exploratory and descriptive case studies since it focuses on a small sample of a phenomenon not yet described in which context and content are observed. The study is divided into two sections: a theoretical part and a research part, each of which draw on professional literature, semi-structured in-depth interviews with representatives of social farms, other primary data and documents and secondary sources. The analysis of the research results displays an assessment of Czech social agriculture, which can be described as delayed when compared to western Europe, mainly due to the historical development of agriculture and social arenas of the last seventy years, while also serving as a reaction to certain contemporary social trends. Research was focused on cities which created former Prague - Old Town, New Town, Lesser Town and Hradčany. At first, used sources and their evaluation for the above mentioned research are described. There are reflections of the most important moments in the history of guilds in the Czech Lands, especially in Prague towns at that time, in the next chapters. Main goal of this thesis is to reconstruct a picture of all historical guilds and brotherhoods in the cities of Prague. My own research reflects knowledge of previous researchers. These were thereafter compared to some new sources and revised. Unknown parts of the history of Prague guilds were elaborated, such as history of this system in modern period.
