Novice and expert teacher's perspective on classroom teaching and management

The aim of this bachelor thesis is to analyse the differences between the novice and expert teacher's perspective on classroom teaching and management, such as lesson planning, students' motivation, dealing with indiscipline or teaching methods. Furthermore, the thesis analyses the way of how the novice teachers perceive their career starts and professional development in comparison to expert teachers. The theoretical part elaborates on various concepts and theories which are concerned with the definition of novice and expert teachers, as well as with the teachers' advancement. The theoretical part also captures contrasts in the various aspects of class work between the two mentioned groups. The empirical part is focused on the investigation of novice and expert teachers' way of perspective of classroom teaching and management, career starts and professional development. The results of the research are connected and compared with the knowledge as stated on the theoretical part of this thesis.
Mentoring as a tool to support the professional development of teachers and students of teaching

Work explores the benefits of mentoring for the professional development of teachers and students of teaching. The aim is to contribute to discussions of mentoring in the Czech Republic. The theme of mentoring in our conditions is relatively new, so the work seeks to contribute to the theoretical grasp of the subject too. Research is conducted in qualitative approach using case study design. Case there is interaction between the mentor and mentee, where are defined other criteria for the selection of teachers in the role of mentor to the research sample. Used data collection methods are: questioning by interview via instruction manual, expert interviews and a questionnaire with open questions. Other methods are the video analysis, documents and focus groups. Obtained data were analyzed according to several theoretical frameworks according selected strategy seeking hits/congruence and these initial theoretical concepts were enriched with data from case analysis and compared with each other. The results show that the benefits are perceived more on mentee side and benefits are accentuated and focused on the development in the profession, mentee gain as hints, tips and advice based on experience and the development of their independent thinking within the teaching profession. Factors Affecting the Profesion Development of the Head of DDM and SVČ in the Pardubice region

This thesis deals with a topic that factors influencing the professional development of school principals. Its aim is to determine the quantitative and qualitative research which factors and to what extent the professional development of directors house of children and youth and leisure centers (the DDM and SVČ) in the Pardubice region influence. The core issue is the continuing education of directors DDM and SVČ, whether in their professional development in further education. The thesis also includes a six-year term of office, which can have a significant impact on the professional development of directors of DDM and SVČ. Research suggests that the Director of SVC and DDM most important factor that affects their professional development, continuing education. The research results are used in the field of school management and management education as an extension of knowledge about the work of the directors of DDM and SVČ and their professional development, which is negatively and positively influenced by various factors. Comparison of Teacher's Professional Development inside and outside the Workplace

The master's thesis is focused on teachers' professional development. It is based on the Theoretical Knowledge Gained from literature, electronic resources and current research. It describes the historical progress of the concept of teachers' education, program and legislative documents, the significance of teachers' professional development and career system. Provides an overview of teachers' development activities in the workplace and outside the workplace. The aim of the work is to determine trends in education by monitoring opportunities of teachers' development in the workplace and outside the workplace. Questionnaire survey is focused on the preferences of directors in the field of teachers' professional development, their training needs, effectiveness and defining the advantages and disadvantages of each approach. The result of the thesis is to map areas and compare activities of teachers' development that can be used for further study or be an inspiration for the involved stakeholders. Possibilities of professional development of kindergarten teachers in the workplace

The bachelor thesis deals with the possibilities of professional development of kindergarten teachers in the workplace. The theoretical part contains characteristics of the concept of professional development. It also recalls some of the current researches that deal with professional development of teachers and describes the current requirements for the competence of teachers in kindergartens. Emphasis is placed on the role of the headmaster, as the most important factor in the professional development of teachers and the use of methods that can take place in the workplace. Some of these methods of professional development are described according to available literature and their advantages and limitations are highlighted. The aim of the bachelor thesis was to describe possibilities of professional development of kindergarten teachers in the workplace and to determine which of the selected professional development methods in the workplace are most often used in kindergartens. The used method was a questionnaire survey and the results are clearly organized in tables and graphs. Current status of professional organizations in the field of librarianship in the Czech Republic

The diploma thesis focuses on the topic of the current state of professional library organisations in the Czech republic and the attitudes that the beginning as well as experienced librarians have towards them. The thesis analyses the importance of professional organisations and further analyses each Czech organisation of this type, with emphasis on the current array of professional education opportunities they offer. The core of the thesis lies in a survey examining the attitudes that librarians have towards this type of organisations. The survey consisted of three parts: it was carried out among students of librarianship and informations sciences, among current members of professional library organisations which have an option of an individual membership, and among potential members of these organisations from the ranks of experienced librarians. Based on the analyses of the individual professional organisations and the results of the survey, the thesis also presents several development concept proposals which touch upon areas these organisations should further develop in the future.
