Educational material for parents of children with allergy to cow's milk protein

The bachelor's thesis "Educational material for parents of children with an allergy to cow protein" deals with the issue of informing parents of children with an allergy to cow protein. The goal of the work was to create educational material that will help parents of children understand the essence of diagnosed CMPA and help provide an overview of the care options for a child with the disease. The educational material was created on the basis of data obtained regarding parents' awareness through a survey. The theoretical part of the thesis provides an overview of the definition of allergy, diagnosis of allergy and treatment of allergy. It provides a comprehensive overview of the entire issue of CMPA and the nutrition of children with CMPA. We also focus on education in our work and present existing educational materials and previously conducted studies related to CMPA. In the empirical part of the thesis, the results of the own survey are presented. The research method was a questionnaire survey, 258 duly completed questionnaires were included in the study itself. In the conclusion of the thesis, it is stated that the own research results in low awareness of parents through the doctor, and especially the lack of educational material that would help parents understand the essence and issues of CMPA....
Healthy nutrition in school-age children

The bachelor's thesis on "Healthy nutrition in school-age children" focuses on the eating habits of children at younger and older school age. The aim of the thesis was to find out and map how children of younger and older school age eat and what their eating habits are. In the theoretical part of the thesis, attention is paid to healthy nutrition and healthy lifestyles, and emphasis is placed on the eating habits of children of different ages, with a division into younger school age and older school age. In the empirical part, the objectives, working hypotheses, methodology and organization of the investigation are presented. The results of the actual investigation are presented, followed by comparisons with the results of other studies. The research method was a self-constructed questionnaire distributed to general practitioners for children and adolescents in the Central Bohemia Region and Prague. 81 questionnaires were included in the survey. The results of the self-administered survey were very satisfactory. As an example, 74.07 % of the respondents stated that their children were used to eating breakfast. The influence of parents' eating habits on children's development of eating disorders

This bachelor's thesis dealt with the issue of eating disorders (ED) in terms of the influence of parents' eating habits on the onset and development of eating disorders in children. The aim of the thesis was to determine whether this influence plays a role in the development of the disorder, how large this influence may be and which specific eating habits may be involved. The theoretical part of the bachelor thesis focused on the description of the disease, epidemiology, diagnosis, onset, course, treatment and mortality. In addition, the different types of eating disorders were presented, including their diagnosis and consequences. The last part focused on risk factors, especially the influence of parental eating habits on the onset and development of ED. The practical part was carried out by means of a questionnaire survey. Nineteen respondents took part in the survey. They were parents of outpatients of the psychiatric clinic of the VFN treated for ED. The results showed an association between the eating habits of parents and the development of eating disorders in their children, but were not conclusive. It is necessary to take into account the existence of a number of risk factors and the diversity of their effects on the onset and development of the disease.
Canistherapy in Kindergarten

This thesis focuses on the question of inclusion of canistherapy activities for healthy children into the program of kindergardens. The aim of the theoretical par was to describe the specifics of the development of pre-school age on different levels, characterise of the basic terms from the field of canistherapy and note the general rules ensuring the safety and hygienic environment. The research took place focusing on two different age groups. The research shows differences in the levels of knowledge, reactions to a live animal and the development of relationships. Different reactions and experiences further show the need of inclusion of all specifics of different ages when planing the therapeutical activities. During the research there were identified the benefits of canistherapy within the development of children in line with the aims and outcomes of the educational program for pre-school education. Parents' evaluation of complex care for neurologically impaired children

Title: Parents' evaluation of complex care for neurologically impaired children Objectives: Thesis aims to assess parents' views on the complex rehabilitation care provided to their children with neurological disabilities, or to point out deficiencies in the multidisciplinary approach to therapy. Methods: Both qualitative and quantitative methods were combined in the form of a mixed methods research. The qualitative part included semi-structured interviews with 8 families. These interviews were aimed at gaining a deeper understanding of the parents' perspectives regarding the care provided for their children. A core set of questions provided a framework for discussion and provided the possibility of further focusing on specific themes as needed. Data were segmented and coded into units that were compared with each other within an embedded theory framework. The quantitative analysis involved an online questionnaire which contained both closed and semi-closed questions. This questionnaire was completed by a sample of 62 families. Levels of physical activity, fitness and obesity in primary school pupils in the Czech Republic and selected European countries

The aim of this study was to determine and then compare the level of physical activity, physical fitness and obesity among primary school pupils in the Czech Republic and other selected European countries. The theoretical part of the thesis provides a comprehensive framework for understanding the concept of physical activity and physical fitness. It also discusses the characteristics, causes and consequences of obesity and the interrelationship between these three areas. The research part of the thesis is based on a quantitative survey in which available data on physical activity levels, physical fitness levels and the prevalence of obesity in primary school pupils in the Czech Republic and other selected European countries were collected, analysed and compared. The results of the survey showed that the results of the Czech Republic compared to the selected countries are different, disjointed, some of them contradictory. The data of some countries are not presented in the compared research, come from a different period or are collected on different age groups.
