Possibilities of integrating kinesthetic teaching methods into the plan of education and care in children's group

The diploma thesis is focused on the significance of use of kinesthetic teaching methods in the annual plan of education and care in children's group. The theoretical part is devoted to basic terminology, the definition of key concepts, such as health and its support in preschool education, and the characteristics of children's groups as a specific form of pre- primary education. The following chapters introduce the age-specific features of preschool age with focus on motor skills. This part closes with a chapter dedicated to the curriculum of children's groups, presenting documents that can be used in the creation of a formal curriculum, the characteristics of kinesthetic teaching methods and the importance of movement with positive development of a child. The chapter dealing with movement and defining the concept of kinesthetics is crucial to the entire thesis. In its introduction, the practical research part represents the objectives of the research investigation, a description of the methodology, characteristics of the interview, research assumptions and an analysis of the school environment of the Sluníčko Children's Group, where the entire work was carried out. Thank Goodness we all are different! The Issue of Diversity in Preschool Education

This thesis focuses on teaching tolerance at the early childhood educational level, with a special attention to storytelling. The theoretical part presents basic sociological and psychological theories of otherness, prejudices and their dismantling. It accentuates the importance of a personal experience for reducing prejudice and features a story as a pedagogical tool, which can mediate imagined experience. The practical part brings three stories that aim to encourage tolerance among preschoolers and are written as a methodological support materials for early childhood educators. Additionally, the thesis also reflects the evaluations from five kindergarten teachers, who worked with the stories in their classes.

Intercultural differences in management in childcare facilities

The thesis focuses on the analysis of the management of selected organizations providing care for young children in terms of intercultural differences in the management style and principles of their managers from the majority society. The analysis is based primarily on the work of Geert Hofstede and Robert House, who revealed the sociological phenomenon of cultural dimensions. The theoretical part of the thesis is devoted to an analysis of the current legislative framework for the provision of early childhood education in Czech Republic and the position and role of the school or non-profit organization director as a manager. Special attention is paid to the concept of intercultural management as a specific area of people management and the basic theories of cultural dimensions of Geert Hofstede and Robert House are discussed, including the framing of the whole situation in the context of the Czech social and cultural environment. Support of the beginning directors of kindergartens from 1990 to present

This diploma thesis provides information on the subject of supporting beginning kindergarten headmasters. It deals with the changes of this support from 1990 until the present. The objective of this diploma thesis is to find out the opinions of the headmasters of pre-primary education schools in Prague concerning the support provided by the state, school authority, middle management, the previous headmaster, other colleagues and educational institutions upon taking up their the post. The theoretical part introduces the basic terms connected with the headmaster's managerial functions and competences as well as with the historical development of the kindergarten headmaster's function in relation to the support received upon taking up their post. It points out the necessity of external support of headmasters during their career, especially in its beginning. The empirical part of the thesis is based on studying specialised literature and on survey results. It assesses the headmasters' experience at the beginning of their careers as headmasters. It evaluates the quality of assistance provided and points out the missing links of subvention. Recruitment and selection of pedagogical employees in kindergarten

The diploma thesis deals with the personnel management practices of recruitment and selection of employees. The theoretical part provides a brief description of the development of human resources management and an outline of the constituent personnel management practices. The steps undertaken by an organisation in the process of recruitment of employees are described thoroughly, from identifying job openings till designing and publishing a job advertisement. The main methods of employee selection are mentioned, followed by a more detailed description of the selection interview. The empirical part of the thesis focuses on the field of pre-primary education. It examines the current circumstances of recruitment and selection of pedagogical employees in selected kindergartens in Prague. It investigates which methods and techniques are used in these personnel management practices and it scrutinizes the factors that influence them. The results of the inquiry show that the recruitment and selection of pedagogues are executed on an adequate level in the selected schools. Effect of current changes in school legislation on pre-primary education management

OF THE THESIS Author: Bc. Anna Hrudková The diploma thesis deals with the topic The impact of changes in school legislation on management of pre-primary education. The theoretical part deals with the explanation and definition of concepts in the field of management, management of educational institutions (pre-primary education) and school legislation and its amendments. In the practical part, the work deals with the analysis of the collected data from the questionnaire, data were collected from the directors of nursery schools in the Central Bohemia organized by the municipalities. There is a correlation between changes in educational legislation and changes in the workload of nursery school directors and the functioning of these schools. The aim of my final thesis is to find out whether the current changes in school legislation (focusing on pre- primary education) have a significant impact on the management of kindergartens, how and in what areas the impact of these novelties was influenced. The conclusion of the diploma thesis is the evaluation of the collected data and the proposal of the institution dealing with the legislation of education. Remuneration of teachers in preprimary education

The aim of my thesis is the remuneration of teaching staff in pre-primary education. Remuneration is a part of personnel activities in the organization, so in the introduction of the theoretical part I deal with the general definition of basic terms relating to human resources and personnel work in organizations and here I outline the development and changes in human resources. In the next part of the theory I devote myself mainly to the most important personnel activity, which is remuneration. In addition to describing the basic concepts, the individual forms of remuneration are characterized in detail, both financial and non-financial. In my diploma thesis I deal with them more specifically at the level of pre-primary education and I also describe here the personal activities of the headmistress in kindergarten. The final part deals with the research, whose aim was to map the situation in the area of remuneration and subsequent satisfaction with remuneration, financial and non-financial. The survey was conducted in the form of questionnaires for teaching staff and interviews with two headmistress of kindergartens.
