Issues of mandatory and voluntary vaccination in children
DOLEŽALOVÁ, Anna
Current status: Vaccination is an integral part of infectious disease prevention. Vaccination against nine infectious diseases is currently compulsory in the Czech Republic. The activities of the paediatric nurse include not only the correct preparation and administration of the vaccine to the child, but also the education of parents and children about vaccination. The aim of the work was to find out what knowledge parents have about the vaccination system for children, to describe the experience of nurses with parents' attitude towards vaccination of their children and to determine the duties of a pediatric nurse in preparing and administering vaccines to children. Methodology: A combined qualitative-quantitative method was chosen for the research investigation. Quantitative research was conducted using non-standardized questionnaires. The questionnaires were distributed to parents in the offices of general practitioners for children and adolescents and were also available on social platforms that bring parents together. A total of 152 questionnaires were obtained and subsequently processed. The qualitative part of the study was carried out using a semi-structured interview technique with nurses at the paediatric and adolescent GP practices. The size of the research population was determined by the theoretical saturation of the data. A total of ten interviews were conducted with nurses in selected general practitioners for children and adolescents practices in České Budějovice and Dačice. The selection of informants and respondents was deliberate. Results: The quantitative part of the study showed that parents' knowledge of the child vaccination system in the Czech Republic was statistically significantly related to their education (p<0.001) and the number of their children (p=0.006). There was no relationship between knowledge and age of respondents (p = 0.197). The qualitative research investigation confirmed that nurses have sufficient knowledge about their responsibilities in vaccinating children. The experience of nurses, with the attitude of parents towards vaccination of their children, is that most parents agree to vaccination. Their reasons include their child's health and the fact that parents do not want to deal with complications at the child's older age (inability to attend preschool, summer camps, etc.). According to the nurses' experience, the reasons for parents not wanting to give consent to vaccinate their children include fear of side effects after vaccination and their general rejection of the authorities. Conclusion and recommendations for practice: Therefore, education of parents about vaccination in primary preventive care by the nurse and physician is very important. An integral part of parent education in primary care by the nurse practitioner is to refute any false information about vaccination and to communicate only the true facts.
The influence of parents' divorce on the social behavior of children in adulthood.
RŮŽIČKOVÁ, Lucie
This bachelor thesis deals with the influence of parents' divorce on the social behavior of children in adulthood, and the goal of this bachelor thesis is to find out what impacts a divorce of parents might have on the social behaviour of their children in adulthood. With regard to this goal there are research questions asking how adults perceive the experience with parental divorce and how individuals perceive the impacts of parent's divorce on their present life in their adulthood. The practical part was carried out by means of qualitative research applying the technique of semi-structured interview to the data collection. This method not only enables us to obtain information on particular issues but also to focus on unique experience and views of each communication partner. The research contains interviews with ten adult individuals that experienced divorce of their parents in the past. It is obvious from the results of my research that the experience gained from divorce of parents can be both inspiration and a lesson for the future for adult individuals, however, the impacts they get from this experience can hardly be avoided. Nevertheless, thanks to their experience and the impacts they can define their preferences and priorities in their lives. The key point is to be able to work with their experience and the impacts and to find sufficient support from their families, partners, friends or specialists. The outcomes from this research can contribute to therapeutical and advisory services for families and individuals facing these challenges, and they can also provide valuable information to workers from departments of the social and legal protection of children, who deal with such problems and might use the research outcomes to improve their understanding to their clients and the ability to help them.

Zavadilová, Tereza ; Háša, Marek (advisor) ; Vochocová, Lenka (referee)
The thesis deals with the topic of sharenting through the perspective of parents and their children aged 10-13. Through the examined phenomenon, space is given to parents and children to express their own position. The research reflects the existing theoretical knowledge that defines the issue of sharenting. Using in-depth qualitative interviews, research with a parent-child dyad is elaborated. Data were analysed using a combination of thematic and conversation analysis. The main findings in this thesis show that children show trust towards their parents, but their attitude varies considerably according to the specific content and towards the subjects through whom the sharing of their own person is performed. According to children, disclosure of their information should only take place with their consent. For parents, sharenting is a new discipline about which not much information is available. Through the research it was found that there is no regular communication between parents and children on the topic being discussed. From participants' statements and the subsequent main findings of the research, it is confirmed that the issue of sharenting should be more widely known to the public. The results of this research can serve as a basis for conducting further research on sharenting.

Title: Children's motivation in tennis in older school age Objectives: The aim of my diploma thesis was to find out the motivation of tennis players in the age category 11 to 15 years in tennis club TK Písek. Using the standardized questionnaire I focused on motivation, what type of motivation dominate, why children devote to this sport, what is the aspiration of children. I focused to find out if there are any reasons for children to stop playing tennis. I also tried to compare how the level of motivation and aspiration of children has changed compared to the research that took place in 2019 among children of younger school age. Methods: The research was conducted using a quantitative method using the Czech version of the international standardized questionnaire The Sport Motivation Scale "SMS- 28". The questionnaire was supplemented with 3 additional open questions. Results: The research has showed that the intrinsic motivation prevails over external motivation among children of older school age in tennis club TK Písek. The research also shows that children are most motivated by intrinsic motivation to experience and intrinsic motivation to accomplish something. The higher value of amotivation among children in the age category 13-15 years requires increased attention. We found that the main...
Reflection on the concept of reproductive health education in primary education.
Scheithauerová, Lenka ; Marádová, Eva (advisor) ; Šulová, Lenka (referee) ; Kovaříková, Miroslava (referee)
The research yielded in the field fails to explain how reproductive health educa-tion has been implemented in primary schools during the 1990s, and how it ful-filled the initial expectations with which it was introduced, from the perspective of its participants. The objective of the presented dissertation is to propose further potential steps towards the advancement of this domain and to identify topics suitable for further research in the field of reproductive health education on the basis of a survey of available sources, current research and presented re-search. The project examines the issue through the perspective of respondents from two countries: the Czech Republic and Spain. These two European nations implemen-ted reproductive health education during the same period, yet with distinct ap-proaches. Spain, with its strong Catholic tradition, contrasts with the Czech Re-public, which registers a relatively low proportion of individuals with declared religious affiliation, according to statistical data from the Czech Statistical Office (ČSÚ) in 2021. The research participants consist of current adolescents and young adults aged 15 to 26 from the Czech Republic and Spain, who attended primary school during the systematic introduction of reproductive health education. The study aimed to...

Hýblerová, Karolína ; Sotáková, Hana (advisor) ; Presslerová, Pavla (referee)
In my master thesis, I deal with the specific development of two-year-old children. Specifically, physical, cognitive, social and emotional development. The second to third chapters focus on the history of the inclusion of two-year-olds in preschool, experts' opinions on whether it is appropriate for children to enter preschool at the age of two, and what options exist in the country for the inclusion of two-year-olds. The fourth chapter looks at the options available to parents in the Czech Republic when they want to place their two-year-old child in pre-school. The last - fifth chapter deals with adaptation as such. The practical part of the master thesis begins by setting the objectives, which are to analyse the adaptation plan of a particular children's group, to find out how the adaptation period is going for the 11 children from the particular children's group who were involved in the research. Last but not least, the research aims to figure out what could make the adaptation to the children's group easier for two-year- old children and their parents. In order to accomplish my goals, I drew on children's group attendance records, questionnaires from the children's parents, and most importantly, my participant observation. I also address general quality standards as well as the quality...
