YMCA and University sport as pioneers of volleyball in Czech countries

Title: YMCA and University sport as pioneers of volleyball in Czech countries Objectives: The goal of our thesis is to make an overview of beginning and development of volleyball between first and second world war in Czech countries and to prove the influence of YMCA and University sport on it. Methods: We have used these methods in our thesis: progressive and retrospective method, direct and indirect method and comparative method. The necessary part of a retrospective and progressive method were synchronous and diachronic attitude to a historical progress. Results: The thesis provides an overview of information related to the formation and development in a period between World War I and World War II in the Czech lands with contribution of the YMCA organisation and the University Sport organisation. The paper demonstrates that these two organisations had the major role in the development of volleyball and thanks to them volleyball in our lands is one of the best ones in Europe from its beginning, in a matter of both its level and organisation. The aim of my bachelor's thesis is to build a meeting plan for a wellness studio that i would like to implement in the near future. The studio will be named HarmonyGym, ltd. This marketing plan should help avoid problems at the beginnig of its operation. The reason for the implementation the study are improvised conditions fort practising yoga, power yoga, pilates, as well as the lack of wellness services such as massages, saunas, etc., prevailing in Brandýs nad Labem - Stará Boleslav.
Sexual selection in Scarab beetles with empahsis to the subfamily Scarabaeinae (Coleoptera: Scarabaeoidea)

Sexual selection is a very important phenomenon in nature. In this work, I focused on the mechanisms of sexual selection in scarab beetles, with a strong emphasis on group Scarabaeinae (Coleoptera: Scarabaeoidea: Scarabaeinae). The first part is devoted to selection and its classification the sexual reproduction and related effects. I tried to describe the list of forms of sexual dimorphism in individual families and groups of Scarabaeoidea and describe life strategies subfamilies Scarabaeinae. Bribery and Overpricing in Public Procurement - The Case of The Czech Republic

The aim of this thesis attempts to analyse two concepts connected with public procurement overpricing, competition effect and non-transparent effect. Dataset consists of 326 public procurement contracts. Existence of competition effect is proved, thus increase of competitors in selection procedure causes that final price decreases. Open types of selection procedures are also cheaper for public authorities. Analysis of non-transparent effect lies in possibility to find beneficial owner of each winner of selection procedure from public sources. Results show that companies with clear and visible owners realize public contracts cheaper than their non-transparent competitors. Findings are also discussed in public policy approach.
Sociocultural aspects of co-operation and competition

The bachelor thesis is focused on the socio-cultural aspects that influence the cooperative or competitive behaviour. It deals with the question if the socio-cultural aspects such as culture, gender, family, school, influence people's preferrences to cooperate or, on the contrary, to compete. It presents not only the theoretical definitions of the above terms, but also the differences between cooperation and competition, the ways how to change the competitive behaviour to the cooperative behavior, but it also shows particular surveys, which dealt with socio-cultural aspects of cooperation and competition in the past. The last chapter gives a research suggestion dealing with different kinds of cooperative and competitive behaviour of employees in 12 European companies. The research sample consists of employees from the companies in the Czech Republic, Germany, Sweden and Greece. The aim of this research would be to discover whether individual socio-cultural differences, specifically culture and gender, affect competitive or cooperative relationships in the company. Competition of fitness centres in the Prague - West and loyalty of their customers

Title: Competition of fitness centres in the Prague - West and loyalty of their customers Objective: The objective of the thesis is to analyse competitive environment using the marketing mix of selected fitness centres in a competitive environment of Prague - West and to examine customer's loyalty with regards to these sport centres. Results of marketing research will be the main part of competitiveness analysis in this area and will serve as a basis for suggestions and possible improvements of these fitness centres. Methods: PEST analysis SWOT analysis Porters five forces analysis Marketing research - qualitative method - in-depth interview - quantitative method - questionnaires Results: The results of the research confirm that the competitive environment of Prague - West is quite intense and is divided into several smaller competitive groups in accordance with the transport infrastrusture. Individual fitness center see their biggest competitors in the immediate neighborhood (within approximately 10 km). For customers in this area, the price and availability, from which the customer loyalty is built, are especially important. Competition and its manifestations in the market of ČR

The purpose of this thesis is to give an overview of the definitions of compe- tition in literature and an assessment of competition in the Internet market in the Czech Republic. The theoretical part is based on literature of domestic and global origins. This part is specializing not only in the understanding of competition in individual scholarly works but also in its influence on the market mechanism, and its typology. An important constituent of this work is the analy- sis of unfair commercial practice as defined in terms of the Consumer Protection Act. The practical part deals with the specific manifestation of price and non- price competition within the Czech Internet market. Research was performed on six selected web portals selling electronics. Quantitative data obtained within this research are shown in tables forming part of the text.
The SK Tenis Kladno marketing plan

Topic: The SK Tenis Kladno marketing plan Objectives: The main objective is creating a marketing plan for SK Tennis Kladno Tennis Club. The sub-objective was to conduct a situation analysis on which basis was the marketing plan developed. Methods: In this work I used the method of analysis, method of inquiry and method of scaling. By the method of questioning were collected information about customers, their views, needs and desires. The club itself was analyzed, such as its competitors, partners and customers. The method of scaling was used in case of the club and competition analysis. SWOT analysis is included. Results: The analyzes revealed that the club has one strong competitor and two weaker competitors. The results further showed that the greatest weakness of the club is pricing policy stance, the current management of the club and the poor atmosphere in it. The marketing plan focuses both on the young generation, ie. children and young people, both amateur players.
