About the Relationship of Humility and Pride

This thesis deals with the research of humility from the view of its elusiveness - it does not define humility and it also does not even try to do so. Conversely, it walks around the phenomenon of humility and points at it in different ways. It uses examples, mostly from works of Comenius, and builds it with parallels from works of Jung, Foucault, Jünger, Drewermann and some other authors. It delimits humility against pride at example of different view of "epoché" in works of Comenius and Descartes; pride is basicly seen where human does not leave any unnaturalness and completely absorbs the world by his own opinion; work also uses Husserl's criticism of Descartes' view of "epoché" and Comenius' criticism of Machiavelli is also mentioned. Thence, the thesis sees the principle of humility in a close relation with the principle of faith or simply with the knowledge of the principle of some higher instance than the human's own sense is. The principle of humility is also nearby to the principle of grace - for this example the thesis researches Simone Weil's concept of "weight and grace"; grace from this point of view is an unpredictable step outside the performance-based part of human life. Drama as a part of television program

The topic of this thesis is theater drama as a part of television program. This diploma thesis tries to define unique and specific relationship between two different media - Theater and Television. The main aim of this thesis is mapping and analyzing of the position which theatrical drama, and the theater in general, had and has within a program of television. The next aim of the thesis is reviewing of role of theatre on the beginning of television broadcasting and mapping changes and evolution of meanings, within which theatre drama was presented in television. Primarily, the thesis focuses on a broadcasting of two televisions - the Czechoslovak Television and subsequently the Czech Television. The television broadcasting is influenced by many factors. And same as the medium of television, the presentation of theatre drama in Tv is influenced by these factors as well. The theoretical background and the research should show the contemporary position of theatre, and theatre drama, as a part of television program.
The phenomenon of the falsifications of the objects of fine arts

The thesis focuses on theoretical analysis of the cultural phenomenon of artwork forgery. It describes the history of forgery in painting and sculpting in the Western society. The analysis is based mostly on philosophy and history of art, psychology, and history. The culturological approach is used, mainly in the interdisciplinary mapping of the historical and psychological process of artwork forgery. The thesis analyses contemporary approaches to the identity of artwork and its forgery, it also depicts partial problems of artwork forgery. To challenge this phenomenon, famous examples of forgers are used and decribed, such as Alceo Dossena, Han van Meegeren, Eric Hebborn, and Wolfgang Beltracchi. The situation and legal concenquences for forgers in the Czech Republic are also described. The aim of this thesis is to offer a complex overview of the phenomenon of artwork forgery.
Learning book like a comics

The thesis deals with comics as a peculiar art which is suitable for education too. It defines concepts as art, illustration, comics or learning book. The thesis inquires into function and using of illustrations in learning books. It shows some examples of contemporary comics' production, focuses on theoretical angle of this medium and offers confrontation with other media. And finally it goes to using comics for creating a learning book, and it shows some aspects why is comics adequate device. Paris in the Times of Les années folles: Contribution to the Study of Social-Cultural History of the French Metropolis between the World Wars (1919-1939)

v angličtině: The bachelor thesis Paris in the Times of Les années folles: Contribution to the Study of Social-Cultural History of the French Metropolis between the World Wars (1919-1939) is an analysis of the socio-cultural transformations of Paris in the twenties and thirties of the twentieth century. The greatest attention is paid to the actions of Americans in the Paris artistic environment. The introductory chapter discusses the social situation of the French metropolis after the First World War. The second one is about the development of cultural life in Paris from the fin de siècle epoch to the period between the years 1919-1939 and includes a subhead about the origin and development of the phenomenon café life. Within this framework is included a part devoted to the analysis of the situation of French art in the early twenties which is followed by a chapter about Americans residing and working in the interwar years in Paris. The author analyses the life and work of writers of the Lost Generation whose stay in Paris had significant influence on them, and includes vignettes of personalities who shaped this generation in many ways. The final chapter is devoted to the topic of jazz as a symbol of change and the advent of "modern times" in the French capital.
Jewish Artists in the Weimar Republic. Painters at the Schools of Art in Berlin.

The thesis deals with the forms of Jewish identity using the example of six visual artists at the Art Schools in Berlin during the Weimar Republic. The first chapter briefly describes the development of German Jewish history from the half of the 18th century until the Weimar Republic. The following two chapters focuse on the family background of the artists and on the position of female artists. The next chapter deals with the Art Schools, with their founding, organisation and their possible influence on the artists. The final part focuses on the reflection of Jewishness in the artists' artwork as well as on the particular works of art which are analysed and compared. The aim of this part is to describe the attitudes of the artists to the Jewishness in a broader social context. Nature as an inspiration of creative explorations at nursery school

Malinovská, Z.: Nature as an inspiration of creative explorations at nursery school. [The assignment] Prague 2014, Charles University, Faculty of Education, Department of Art, p. 113 The assignment has a special reconnaissance probes . Its aim is to help to the improvement of teaching practice of kindergarten teachers in preschool education . The survey is designed to give an update on implementation and long-term stereotypes about completed art activities for which the main inspiration is the nature. The expected outcome will be proposals of art programs for preschool children, which will be based on results of the research . I tried to find suggestions for processing proposals at the history and present of Fine Arts. The history of art was conceived as a bridge between theory and practice with examples of inspiration for nursery school teachers from every period. The focus of the assignment is the implementation and processing of proposals of art programs, their experimental verification and subsequent didactic reflection. Sára Vondrášková- Patterns in cultural performance- abstract The subject of this thesis is a theoretical analysis of chosen factors which influence creative process that leads to an art work. Theese factors are comprehended as patterns that determine this process and their origin and function is studied by different approaches. The first part deal with time as an element, restitutional and reductional approach according to Borecký and Apollonian and Dionysian concepts according to Nietzsche. The second part is dedicated to the impact of technology and emotions on the character of an art work and it deals with their influence on a form and effect of the art work. This bachelor thesis is comprised of two parts. The first part is practical and it is represented by a translation of several chapters from La cerámica precolombina: el barro que los indios hicieron arte written by Emma Sánchez Montañés. The text was translated from Spanish to Czech and it describes historical development of ceramics in Latin America. The second part of the thesis is theoretical and it is formed by a linguistic commentary of the translation. It consists of a translation-oriented text analysis made according to Nord's model, a chapter about the method of translation, a description of translation problems on several different levels and their solutions, and a typology of shifts in the translation.
